We went for food and cocktails and the food was delicious it came fairly quick. The cocktails are so nice the only down side is they are gone too fast. The staff was really friendly and made you feel welcome. I will definitely be returning.
lovely food, great atmosphere and fabulous staff : ) the counting house is a great place to go for a friendly , relaxed and fun day/night
friendly happy staff, fantastic food and very relaxed atmosphere, live singer add to the relaxing atmosphere, will definitely be visiting again and recommending to friends
on a Saturday night, we enjoyed great food, great service and a lively atmosphere. The price was reasonable too. The menu was varied with a good vegetarian range.
Food was lovely as always, look forward to trying the other new items on the menu. Great service and friendly staff. Look forward to eating here again!
Amazing Food Amazing cocktails Amazing staff Highly recommended Well presented meals and staff made us feel very welcome for our first visit Definitely will return
Excellent food, value & service . We will definitely return👍
came for the first time last night for my partners birthday the staff were so friendly food was really lovely will definitely come here again
Fantastic service with amazing food, been back already for their Cocktails. Feels like a City venue but without the prices, they also do Breakfast so going to give that a try.
Becoming a regular weekend brunch visit for my friends and I. I'm starting to work my way through the menu. Sadly no cream for the coffee this week, hence only 5 stars and not 6 - sorry to be picky!
Poor..we stood waiting for someone for a good 5 mins..then we were left at the table. I had booked one vegetarian bit when the afternoon tea arrived the mini burger was next to the meat burger with no explanation of what anything was or what was vege...then we had to go ask for more drinks and the service was shocking. Not good for a first experience as we had heard good things especially as it was for a birthday present. Was not that busy either..disappointing.
Food and service was great. Will definitely return. Would highly recommend to others. Plenty of choice and variety. The puddings were fabulous too. Until the next time....
Couldn’t fault it if I tried, never been somewhere so nice and I can’t believe we’ve only just found out about it with being local!
The food was good but the atmosphere was so loud I could barely hear people on my table. Service was a bit slow. Good overall
The food was amazing, seabass. loved it. service was great. the only thing i would say would be it was loud, but it was Saturday night, and as i was out with a friend rather than a date it was ok, no need for romance. Will definately be back xx
Friendly staff - but quite disappointed with chosen meal - chicken burger -coating on chicken tasted burnt and brittle to cut. A lot of crispy outside but a really very little chicken inside the costing.
The best Sunday lunch in cleethorpes by far, never fails to hit the spot, superb. Now doing 1, 2 or 3 courses on a deal which was good value. Great friendly staff , great bar /restaurant.
A nice relaxed Sunday lunch, both the beef and lamb was of good quality and the vegetables were will cooked and well presented.the service was prompt and efficient.this place is well worth a try.
Ordered the Mac and Cheese / special fish board, we can easily say, Excellent food, awesome service and good recommendations!!!! We will definitely be coming again
Great atmosphere, great food and great service. Will definitely return, great choice of starters and main courses, Steak really well cooked, complements to all involved.
Fantastic Afternoon Tea loved the seaside theme. We will definetly be back looking forward to the next themed afternoon tea. Pleasant service nothing too much trouble. Lovely surroundings
The staff was really friendly. The meals was really hot and presented nice. I’m not a lover of rocket but would have preferred lettuce, cucumber, tomato and coleslaw with my gammon. But over all nice.
Excellent varied menu. Loved the fish specials, all meals in our party looked great everyone was delighted. Fast friendly. services. Great environment. Would highly recommend. Great cocktail selection a bonus.
Booked for a girly night - we were served Gorgeous meals, met by speedy friendly staff and enjoyed amazing cocktails too ! Definitely will return xx
This was our second visit - this time with two friends that we had extolled the virtues of this place to. Unfortunately, it was early on a Saturday evening and we hadn't accounted for the popularity of the place on a Saturday evening. There were 'bouncers' on the door and quite a large number of people inside. However, our table reservation through Quandoo was confirmed and our table awaited. The meal, as on our previous visit was wonderful. The meals advertised on their 'Specials' board are far more exotic than the ones listed in their Menu and our experience is that they do not disappoint. Again we had the fish - mine was the hake and my wife and our friends had the sea bass. All agreed the meals were very tasty and excellent value. The bill for all of our meals and drinks was 84 GBP which is excellent value - but more than that -the quality of the meals and service were superb. The only distraction from our eating experience was the noise level in the place. Our first visit was late afternoon during the week and the place was not that busy. This time there were lots of well-dressed people in their 30's who, collectively, made a lot of noise! The conversion from the former bank preserved the high ceilings and parquet floors and this must have contributed to the poor acoustics. Speaking to our friends across the table or to the waitress was extremely difficult.
The food was excellent, the choice of drinks was amazing, and the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff was even more so. The only down side to The Counting House was that it was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant part, due to it having fans in the bar area, but not the restaurant, and the lack of natural ventilation made dinner uncomfortable. Other than that (which at any other time of the year wouldn’t have been a problem), it was an excellent experience that we would recommend.
We booked online as good updates all the time. When we arrived our table was perfect and the staff constantly came to see if everyone was ok Fantastic place fantastic staff and great food 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Excellent , attentive service and nice food. Would have preferred to have jd a pot of tea on the table with our afternoon tea, other than that it was lovely. Thank you
It was a very busy night, but drinks arrived after our meal was served and then overcharged for drinks, but the food was good and reasonably priced
Too noisy. Although to be fair, it was Armed Forces Day. The food and service was good and the staff placed us in the quietest corner they could.
Very pleasant Sunday lunch.food and service spot on.a nice way to Spend a Sunday.
Had lamb kofta with flatbread (which was actually a pitta bread)! Lamb was lovely but just a bit plain with dry pitta. Nice sweet potato fries ordered as a side.
Food was average but the dessert was awful! Waitress told us incorrectly what one was and the other one hardly worth having as the portion was minuscule. Drinks could have been displayed better considering the price! Great venue but need to work on staff training.
Wooden boards used to serve food too small to eat comfortably. My partner enjoyed his food (he had chicken burger). I had the seafood plate, most of it was very tasty but prawns were chewy.
Great food lovely place only thing was 7pm at night your abit close to everyone getting drunk . Ok if your already baked an don’t mind noise then your ok . But we booked and came straight for meal which was very loud. A screen on night probably be best just to cut noise level by at least 40% would help. but we like place
Brilliant atmosphere, lovely attentive staff, amazing food and the cocktails are to die for. The miss wright cocktail is a must try. Will definitely be returning! We saw a few reviews that suggested the cocktails are on the expensive side, but we found the prices reasonably low, however we are comparing with Manchester City center prices.
The staff at The Counting House are all fab!! They went the extra mile to make my birthday meal a lovely experience, thank you x
Great atmosphere and great meal and drinks, our meals were a little on the salty side but we both still enjoyed them. Would definitely recommend!
Great place lovely food and nice atmosphere. The service and staff are very quick and friendly and I will be returning to the counting house in thee future.
Food was GORGEOUS..and priced good i.ll most certainly go bak..The service and waiting time was fantastic too.All in all a great venue..we all said how luvvly the food was.
The food was great, all meals were lovely. Great service also. Not ideal for dining on a Saturday night as very noisy but still enjoyed ourselves. Would go back on a different night.
Brilliant atmosphere, lovely food, great and quick service! Nothing was too much effort and the cocktails were to die for! Definitely recommend a monitor! Thank you!
Booked very last minute within 10 minutes of arrival easily on the website , was greeted and seated almost immediately and enjoyed a tasty breakfast with quality ingredients and lovely coffee
Beautiful decor, great cocktails...but the food was disappointing...burger patties felt cheap/processed and both of our desserts weren't very pleasant (eg molten choc pud was cold in the middle). Buttermilk chicken was delicious though...
