Excellent food and great customer service every time we visit

The evening was so nice there, great staff and food was amazing.

Lovely place, staff and fab food. Prompt service All present restrictions adhered to.

Right, this is a really difficult review as I love this place. We had a great meal 6/6. The issue was that we did not feel comfortable particularly after the Covid guidelines released two days ago. There was a QR code menu, sanitiser on entry and we had our own roll of kitchen towel - all good so far. There were two issues that if addressed would mean that we would not have the same concerns and visit the restaurant again during Tier 2 Covid Guidelines. First issue was the music was too loud, in keeping with the atmosphere the restaurant are trying to create. This meant that everyone was having to speak loudly or shout to be heard. Not what you want when we now know that shouting can release Covid particles in confined indoor situations. Secondly, whilst at our table, a number of guests walked in, all with face coverings, however four members of staff hugged one of the guests one by one. Really not what you would expect from social distancing guidelines. One of the waiters then brought our drinks over to us. I want the Coconut Tree to succeed as this is a great restaurant and I considered phoning to provide feedback to the manager, however I felt in the end that these two aspects were far to important not to feedback to others about.

It is a wonderfully vibrant and funky place to eat delicious Sri Lankan food. It has a great buzz with wonderful service and I will be eating there again very soon

Food was lovely & cocktails good too. My only criticism was that we only had the table for 1 hour 30 mins so it felt a bit rushed

I went to the coconut tree with a group of 5 of us and went for the option of paying £20 and they select a number of dishes to bring out to you. The food was really good and we had a good variety of dishes and was enough for us all to eat but not too much. Good selection of drinks and the atmosphere was perfect and playing some good music and service was friendly, helpful and prompt. Overall i will be going back to the coconut tree again soon.

The meal, the service and the value for money was all excellent.

Absolutely delicious food - perfect portion size. The restaurant was buzzing and clearly popular. Only drawback: due to the volume of music combined with the face masks, it wasn't always easy to hear the servers or each other.

What a wonderful evening with my mum and her friend who have both been staying home and keeping safe! Our whole experience was fabulous from our arrival to our departure! Food was amazing and the atmosphere was fabulous we sat and relaxed and wow! Ate some delicious food! Jo was our host and she was wonderful! We will return

The restaurant where we sat was cold and noisy. We waited ages for food which was mediocre We were disappointed. The saving graces were that the staff were very attentive and the bill was half price

Visited on one of the half-price evenings. Got asked to vacate the table a bit sooner than we would have liked, but I suppose fast throughput is how the half-price food is achieved. Apart from that everything was great.

Amazing food as usual, tried a few new dishes and definitely didn’t disappoint! Service was much slower than usual despite it being at the end of lunch and quiet, but apologies from the friendly staff were much appreciated even though we didn’t say anything. Will be back for sure!

We had a lovely meal. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and knowledgable about the food. The food was so lovely and great value for money too. We tried a bit of everything and it was all fresh, hot and delicious. Great drinks menu too. The decor too was very nice and a really pleasant relaxed vibe about the place. Definitely recommend.
