Staff lovely. Very busy.45 mins before ordered food. Duck tough sent back replaced quickly. Lamb needed sauce. More variety of veg needed. Hope better Saturday?

Fantastic Sunday lunch - great service - and l9ve the glasses stand - came in very useful.

Went there with my fiancee after having the Chophouse recommended. We ate off the set evening menu. Excellent food and lovely friendly service. Not cheap but totally value for money. A delightful evening

The chophouse has quickly become one of our favourite places to eat . Mixing great service and food makes it easy to keep going back . Special mention to all food being cooked from fresh meaning all our allergies where easily catered for .

Like place & staff but found it a bit expensive have had meals for less in London but will go again to see if there is improvement in the pricing.

Excellent food & service, you can park at Tesco's which is 30 seconds walk away, i would recommend to people on business lunches as well as couples and family meals

Fantastic food, service good, the food is always lovely. Love the prosecco Saturdays, Prosecco was empty a couple of times but not a problem, still enjoyable.

A surprise birthday meal for my hubby. The food was great and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I Highly recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to our next visit.

We chose the Chophouse because we wanted steak for dinner only to arrive and be told no more steak left on the menu but they had a ribeye special, then we ordered and were then told they had run out. Bearing in mind the name of the restaurant and it was a Saturday night it’s very poor not to have any steak. Also ran out of best starter and main fish dish. I think they are running things too tight. Won’t bother going back.

I had rib eye and my wife had the chicken. The service was although the waitress was a little unnatural but the food was great.

Lovely little resturant with amazing food. My first experience at The Chophouse but will definitely will not be the last. Just to go back to try more of their menu. I would highly recommend eating here.

Perfect food, perfect welcome, perfect staff...perfect lunch, perfect cocktails. The ambiance is great, I just don't get chance to get across often enough. Not been yet....go!

The food was ok nothing special, we have been here 4 times and won’t be rushing back. Service was slow considering they weren’t full, this is a shame as we like supporting local businesses.

Lovely place, we were sat out the way and forgotten about, we waited an hour and a half for our starters which was very disappointing, food was good when we finally got it, staff were very kind and nice just a shame we were overlooked.

Best restaurant in Braintree, staff are extremely kind and helpful. Always help my Nan no end with her wheelchair and getting her the best table. Not part of a chain so doesn’t taste like everything has come out of a microwave. A different menu with something for everyone! Always enjoy going to the chophouse!

Wonderfully satisfying veggie breakfast option. The homemade sausage and beef dipped toast was a big hit with others in our party. All washed down with large cups of tea and coffee. A perfect relaxing brunch.

Best restaurant in or close to Braintree. The Chop House is a fine restaurant, better than a gastro pub, but not fine dining with all the trimmings. Good atmosphere, high quality food well presented, good service and good value. It's becoming a firm favourite and regular for us and we're fussy foodies!

We went on a date and the interior was romantic. This is a lovely restaurant and the service was amazing. Food was gorgeous and the price was reasonable.

Superb food, served in a lovely atmosphere. Really friendly and attantive staff. I had the grass fed fillet of beef and my wife had the chicken, both were cooked perfectly and the flavours well balanced. Highly recommend a visit.

We took two of our friends to lunch for there first time at the chophouse and they couldn't get there heads around it as we explained how it's served, well needless to say when we got there they ordered there started which they both loved followed by the roast! They loved it and was truly stuffed , they still managed to fit there desert in just about but they are still talking about it now and can't wait to go again! I don't think they will eat a roast any other way now.

Wonderful evening, food was outstanding (we had mushrooms, pate, and calamari to start, then pie, fish and sausage for main. The boys finished with delicious chocolate brownies) and service warm and friendly. I highly recommend the white rijoca, it was outstanding. Overall, impeccable!
