The China Room

The food was amazing but they ultimately served me a more expensive dish than I asked for and charged me extra for it.

We were met promptly on arrival and given a choice of where we wanted to sit. The waitress soon took our order and the food followed without any delay. Our plates were cleared quickly and no time delay between courses. The food was lovely. It was just the noise level that was too high. But the restaurant is popular and when groups of people are having a nice time, voices are raised.

The food was fabulous as always and is the best restaurant in Westhoughton. The only let down this visit were the staff, apart from the young lad. The two female waitresses clearly didn’t want to be there and forgot drinks and other condiments when asked for. Definitely wouldn’t stop us going again but this could make the experience so much better if addressed

Sunday evening, surprisingly busy but not too much. Everything excellent.

we have been there before and really enjoyed it so we took our friends .It was a loverly evening from walking in to going out and the food was wonderful and its now top of our favourite list .

Great food at reasonable price as we had the 3 courses for £14.95

We had the £ 20 per head banquet. Food was superb and service excellent. That said next time we visit we are going to try for selected items from the menu because towards the end of the banquet our appetites had been satisfied and we couldn’t do justice to the final course and had to leave some of the food which we didn’t want to do. A really enjoyable evening. Will be back there soon

I visited The China Room with a group of 8 and both the food and service was excellent. Every member of the group commented on how good the food was. The menu catered for all tastes with plenty of selection. I would highly recommend.

Over priced drinks,food was ok found hair in my meal (not nice) brought me another one within 2 mins weird really as we had waited ages for food to arrive originally so makes me think they just took hair out of dish then sent it back. Won't go back

Great food and atmosphere. The sizzling steak Cantonese style was beautiful. The service was excellent even though the restaurant was very full on the night.

Food as always was excellent but overall impression was that the small number of staff struggled to cope with a busy restaurant. No complaints at all regarding quality of food or our service, just felt that the staff were overwhelmed at times. Still our favourite Chinese but management could possibly plan better for busy services.
