All fine thank you. Not much else to say, really.
Great food, excellent prices and super helpful staff. They ensured that I didn't have any issues with my peanut allergy.
Absolutely fantastic service. Went for tasting menu and matching drinks. Everything was tasty and drinks were great. Would recommend to anyone wanting to try Scottish cuisine.
The Cellar Door always has good food and excellent service. Most enjoyable.
Perfect meal before going to the Festival Theatre. Good, fresh comfort food.
Lovely waiting staff and tasty food. We had haggis bon bons, burgers and Cranachan. Awesome chips!
really nice with very good food and service - excellent value.
Super friendly staff, delicious food. Had Burns supper. Good veggie options!
First time at this restaurant having heard it was good. Enjoyed the whole experience. Marked the value for money lower as it was a set menu at the time (Hogmanay) so would need to attend again on the a la Carte.
Pricey. Good friendly service. Found restaurant on website which was easy to find.
Was there in Hogmonay & let down in 2 areas - 1. If asking folk to select menu in advance to avoid disappointment, then don't change the menu by serving them salmon instead of sea trout. 2. Service could've been better, as starters were being served when we hadn't been served our glass of fizz on arrival or our drinks order
Food was excellent and so was the service reasonable priced would highly recommend it
Quality food, brilliant service, not the first time we’ve been here but it never fails to deliver !
Small cosy restaurant in heart of the city. Nice ambiance. Recommend a visit.
Asked for some bread for the table and they gave us a slice each that was about the size of my pinkie finger. The butter was bigger than the bread. We were trying not to laugh when it came over , obviously was finished in one bite so we asked for a couple more slices and they charged us for them. Main meal was braised beef with haggis bon bone but they forgot the Bon bons....
Really nice meal good atmosphere staff lovely and attentive quick service
We visited for a birthday treat for our 88 year old Mum who really liked it. As did my sister and I. The only complaint I have really is the cost. Very expensive for the small portion sizes. Lovely friendly staff.
We had the early evening menu which was excellent value. A small choice, but good enough to keep us happy, the food was well cooked and presented. Service was really attentive and very friendly.
The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly, so we were really impressed. The surroundings were nice too and the way the restaurant was decorated made it feel cosy - perfect for the damp, cold weather outside!
Great food. Amber, our waitress was lovely. Would definitely return
Delicious food attentive service and cosy atmosphere had a lovely evening.
Great food, especially fantastic burger and friendly service, worth a visit
Great spot , hard working and attentive staff , well priced
Used the itison deal , meal was nice ,well presented, the staff were very attentive. We will be back
Great friendly service. Delicious food and an excellent menu selection.
We had an itison voucher for a main course and a glass of prosecco. We throughly enjoyed the food and the service was exceptional. The young girl was very attentive.
Nice relaxed atmosphere friendly attentive staff good food which all madre for a nice evening and reasonably priced
We often go to The Cellar Door for its great food and extremely nice atmosphere. We went with friends who'd never been there before and they loved it too!
Locale carino Cibo buono Servizio gentile Buon rapporto qualità prezzo
Good food at a good price. Friendly service. Convenient location.
Very nice staff and food would definitely go again. enjoyable night
It was a lovely visit to the restaurant the service was excellent and good value for money. The only point I felt was that the food was not hot enough.
we've used it many times before without any issues, but this time my main course came out and my wifes was delayed, as the Kitchen had got it wrong. By the time my wifes meal arrived my meal was getting cold so I asked them to "stick it in the microwave for 2 minutes". I had to chase them up 5 minutes later to get my meal back and when it arrived it wasnt any different to when I'd sent it away! We just finished our meal and left, but it certainly wasnt up to its usual standard. We wondered if it had changed hands as we didnt recognise any of the staff, but when we asked the waiter he didnt answer--either because he didnt understand what we had asked , or he didnt want respond!!
Friendly service, the food was lovely. Thistly cross cider prices ridiculously high though.
Locale bello ed ottima qualità delle pietanze. Sicuramente come già fatto da ritornare.
We were there for lunch, both of us had different dishes and they are all superb! The waitresses were really lovely, very attentive and friendly! Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Positiv: Schnelle und freundliche Bedienung, nette Atmosphäre Negativ: kleine Auswahl, kleine Portionen. Wein Qualität unterdurschnittlich fuer 7 EUR/Glas.
It is a very Welcoming restaurant and you feel at home right away. The service is personal and joyfull, and we had a enjoyable taste of Scotland. The restaurant was full but never crowded or to loud. We will recommend this for all our friends going over there - Mie Denmark
Nice restaurant, have been several times before. Good food and service, v central.
Excellent food and service , would highly recommend. Atmosphere was just right.
The staff were an absolute delight. Happy, bright and extremely attentive. The food was also outstanding and with authentic Scots style. Of particular note was the kullen skink risotto (smoked fish). I’d highly recommend this restaurant for business, tourist and occasions.
Great food. The service was excellent. It's a lovely restaurant.
The place is warm and the food is good. But the service was too slow, we had to wait a lot only for the waitress to give us 4 slides of bread and a lot more to have our main corse. It was really disappointing to have to wait and feel that nobody is paying attention to what you need.
Based on reviews read about restaurant, we expected more exciting options. Wanted something special for our last night in Edinburgh and was disappointed. We both had Scottish salmon which was tasty but pretty much what you could find at many other restaurants we’ve visited. My partners had too much balsamic reduction which ruined the meal for him. There wasn’t much interaction with waitress in terms of recommendations or anything. Disappointed.
Food was lovely and service was really good. Great restaurant
I enjoyed a meal from the fixed price menu, and a glass of fizz. The service was good and the food excellent. Would go back and recommend to friends.
We had a great time at the Cellar Door! The food was excellent and the wait staff were very friendly. We would definitely return next time we are in Edinburgh!
Restaurant écossais avec plats typiques. Très bon et personnel vraiment sympa. Une belle adresse qui plus est bien situé.
Lovely staff. Comfortable venue, limited choice of food but what we had was good.
Attentive and friendly staff. Lovely food. Good house wine. Nice ambiance.
