Lovely quite relaxing pub and lovely food and great service.
Brilliant warm and friendly atmosphere. Recommend the lamb, pork and nut roast. Chocolate fudge, lemon meringue and treacle went down a delight. Will be returning for the food and the view/scenery
Wonderful country pub in beautiful surroundings. Very welcoming staff and tasty food.
Welcoming, warm and friendly. Light lunch not hurried at all, just the way I like it
A very nice pub with good food and nice people.
Friendly atmosphere and enjoyable food. Good place to stop after country walk.
Nice steak and ale pie. I would prefer the chips cooked a bit darker but that’s just my preference. Nice meal, nice beer and good music. Lovely pub.
A lovely welcome at The Carpenters Arms, these guys always provide a friendly atmosphere, the food was delicious we’ll be back for sure Many thanks
Brilliant pub, excellent staff, delicious food, would definitely recommend. Thank you
Variety of food at Lunchtime was excellent, including wide range of Specials. Ambience was very good, parking outside was easy, despite no car park. Service and attitude of staff excellent.Quality of cooking very food. A popular place in a lovely village.
Lovely pub - excellent service from funny and charming staff, beautiful roast dinners which are huge, very welcoming feel, not at all pretentious for a beautiful pub, old pub in the Cotswolds! Very dog-friendly with lots of dog biscuit treats! Excellent customer service, one of our favourite pubs to visit!
Great place for Sunday lunch, lovely staff, great pub dog
What a gem of a country pub. Great welcome, great service, great food and great atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genuine unpretentious village pub with a beautiful location, friendly staff, good food and delicious cider
Made very welcome, excellent beer and good hearty pub food
We were made to feel safe and comfortable throughout. Pub was spotlessly clean with all necessary measures in place. Fire was on, such a friendly atmosphere. It was an amazing experience. Beautiful food, excellent service and a perfect pint. Can't wait to return. 10/10
Great to see a middle of nowhere pub making everyone’s visit so great and safe! Our table of 5 really had a great evening recommended 👍
brilliant food good vibe lovely place to eat good location
Lovely atmosphere, very Covid award, great food, friendly landlord. Everything was brilliant
Best covid-safe setup I've seen so far. Lovely home cooked food, good sized portions and friendly staff.
Food was very good as usual. All safety measures in place
Great food, great value and with a truly warm hearted welcome. we will return.
Very welcoming and very clean everything in place for distancing
Lovely village friendly pub, well organised for social distancing for those particularly concerned over such. My wife had steak and ale pie , mine was stone cold in the middle so clearly not totally fresh and not microwaved for long enough, chips and peas ok. Shame as enjoyed other aspects of the visit.
Service was great, food was satisfying. Everything was clean and orderly. We felt welcomed and the grandchildren especially enjoyed it. My grandson it was the best lasagna he had tasted in a long time.
They are doing a great job under the current Covid conditions. Very well organised and a great welcome.
Nice food, lovely pub, very very organised in terms of Covid compliance, no hesitation recommending for those in the area.
Really sorted in terms of being COVID 19 safe. Lots of screens, a one way system and masses of outdoor dining space. They have an outdoor takeaway-style menu and an indoor posh pub grub menu. Social distancing is done well and carefully. Perfect place to go for a pub lunch and gorgeous walk/cycle or garden visit.
Because of the covid epidemic the restaurant was quite empty. However the meal was superb, the staff couldn’t have been nicer and we will definitely be returning. We’ll also be recommending!
Lovely meal, excellent & friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Felt very safe, clean, highly recommend The Carpenters Arms!
A great place to eat. A real local for us.
Exceptional service and exceptional drinks and staff. Been there twice since my first visit and certainly will be back. Lovely pub in a stunning location!
A great night out, this was Folk night so we had good music, the staff were attentive without being intrusive and the food was hot and tasty. They serve a good pint too!
We had an excellent time, good service, excellent food and a very traditional and tasty pudding menu, highly recommended if you want a proper pub lunch.
The food was good, although the menu was rather limited. However, the entertainment was excellent.
Excellent lunch and real ale. Good vegetarian options on the menu. Friendly service. Recommended.
Great Sunday lunch freshly cooked and service friendly and helpful
Enjoyable lunch with good food in warm and quiet surroundings.
Friendly atmosphere, warm open fire and fabulously cooked food. I would highly recommend.
As always, a warm welcome and excellent food and drink.
Great food and hospitality. Children and dog friendly, great home cooked food
Lovely visit again, as always food was delicious. Very busy Boxing Day lunch but food still arrived quickly and with a smile
Excellent food service and atmosphere as always. Regularly changing menus, great choice for vegetarians too
Very good as always. Lovely range of vegan options as well.
very friendly warm welcome, cheerful service and a great village pub atmosphere
Dog friendly and great place to finish off a walk with some good food
We were a group of 8 having dinner after a 7 mile walk. The pub was warm and welcoming, the barman very attentive, the Landlord entertaing and the food was delicious. We would all recommend the Carpenters Arms as a hidden gem.
Really great food, brilliant value for money and excellent service
This was Folk Night and Zoe Wren was tonight's singer - she did a great job. The food was as good as ever with a wide choice, whatever your taste.
Landlord very friendly and dogs allowed in the pub. Reserved a table for Sunday lunch and was glad I did as the pub was very busy. Food came in good time although landlady seemed a little stressed. Had a lovely roast chicken dinner. All veg was excellent and they also provided a gluten free meal for me. On top of that, gluten free desserts were available. Left feeling really satisfied!
