Celebrated my wife’s birthday with our grandsons and their partners and had a great evening. There were obviously a few other small parties being held there, but the service throughout was superb, attentive but never intrusive. The goats cheese and haggis rolls proved popular starters and three of our party loved their main course selection of chicken stuffed with Brie. There was an excellent choice of fish ‘specials’ and I really enjoyed the wild sea trout. The ‘youngsters’ weren’t going to miss out on the popular dessert selection, which rounded off a memorable evening.

The staff are always cheerful and very willing to ensure that the customer is happy. The food arrives quickly, and is delicious. Surroundings are exceptionally clean and convivial. The style is informal, thoughtful, but not intrusive. The Brickmakers' gets top marks every time we go. We're regulars and they make us feel like we're part of their family too.

I love The Brickmakers, it’s fantastic food, wine is reasonably priced and it’s got a great ambience. We went on a Monday lunch time and there were plenty of people there. That says a lot about a place.! Would highly recommend, but I don’t want it to get so popular that I can’t book a table 😄. Great walking around too if you want to walk off your lunch.

A great find! Lovely rural location, with a footpath leading into the woods beside the pub. A light and bright interior, with a choice of seating in the bar or in the restaurant. Very pretty garden, with a covered area providing shade on sunny days, and a selection of cosy corners to sit in around the garden itself. Excellent and varied menu at a reasonable price. Our food was well presented and very tasty. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Had Sunday lunch and the roast was good but the desert was very disappointing. The sticky toffee pudding was hard and not nice at all, which was a shame because the accompanying caramel sauce and custard were good. Service good and staff very pleasant.

My wife and I had an excellent day celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. An indication of how popular this place is; we had to park at the very rear of the over-spill back garden parking almost into Sunningdale golf course, and we enjoyed the walk through the gardens to get a drink. It's nice to be recognized when arriving at any venue, and we were promptly shown to our table with two glasses of champagne. We both opted for similiar meals from the comprehensive menu and started with half pint of shrimp and crab cocktail. They were literally in a half pint beer glass full of crustaceans with a light fresh zingy sauce without a hint of tomato ketchup, accompanied by three perfectly toasted baguette rounds. We had selected two glasses of Provence Rose for this first course, that was fresh and earthy, and perfectly chilled. Our mains were two smokey cooked fillet steaks and golden chips cooked in goose fat. I have an aversion to balsamic vinegar, and now as a precaution, I always order food with the proviso that, however unlikely, no BV comes anywhere near my plate. This was fortuitous as my wife's salad dressing was hiding a sneaky drizzle of the dreaded dressing that chefs love so much. To me, BV is a cross of two things that I love; Marmite and honey. But I wouldn't dream of mixing the two together. To go with the mains we selected a delicious Pinot Noir at very reasonable price. Neither of us had the room or fancied a sweet course so we went for a shared platter of British cheeses, and were mightly impressed with the offers from the counties of England, particularly the blue from Oxfordshire. A full tasting stilton competitor but slightly moist rather than the artery clogging oozyness of the full Leicestershire. What made it even more yummy was that the cheese course was 'on the house' for which I again thank the hosts Scott and Alex for a lovely lunch.

We were a party of six. The food was excellent as always and the staff very accommodating when we asked to switch from our booked table in the conservatory to a vacant table in the garden (the weather was very good on the day). As a side issue, I managed to leave my credit card there but, again, the very helpful staff member I spoke to on the phone sent it to me the following day.

We booked the Brickmakers after a friend's recommendation for my wife's birthday - 6 of us. The service was outstanding, the food really good, with a very interesting menu - everyone in my party enjoyed the experience- only one small downside, a large party exiting their table adjacent to us were standing around for ages querying their bill with the Manager - should have been dealt with us away from us in my view.
