Consistently good food, great service and friendly staff. Varied menu with plenty to choose from, maybe a few more vegetarian dishes could be offered, would recommend.

This was our first visit to the Brickmakers and we’ll definitely return soon! The food was excellent as was the service. It was our son’s birthday and he was given a balloon, a candle in his dessert and the staff sang happy birthday!

Food was fantastic, price was great, service 6/10. Took 15 minutes to be asked if we would like to order only because a spare menu was unaccomponied on the table... i dont get it. Previous times have been a 10/10 but tonight just let down a little bit

Food poor quality and tasteless. The roast Sunday lunch was served very quickly and the rib of beef was fatty and grisly. Very crowded and noisy.

Very accommodating: Late booking - couldn't book a table for six online, so booked two tables for four and two. Phoned in the morning and they arranged two tables together but best of all the food was great, excellent service and very friendly staff. Highly Recommended.

A fantastic meal, both very happy, the pork belly was delicious. Quality of the meal was matched by the quality of the service, perfect all round

We have eaten many times at the Brickmakers, it has never lets us down, its our go to Resturant for Really friendly helpful staff, Fresh and tasty food, with a relaxed atmosphere.

Along with many, many people The Brickies is for me, my family and friends our first choice when going out for a meal locally. A varied menu that suites us with excellent food, good quality and decently priced. A good and not expensive wine list. The atmosphere is good and relaxing with knowledgeable staff who obviously want to be a part of The Brickies but are never intrusive. Scott and Alex have set out their stall to perfection. They with their Chef have obviously gone out to find the best suppliers to give consistent sourcing. Do have a good appetite when lunching or dining! Am spreading the word with friends and winning. Have been here many times and always have had a great meal and excellent service. Ordered sticky toffee pudding and it was rather hard I mentioned it and when the bill came it had already been taken off. That is what you call 5 Star. Well done. We will still be back as it is a great pub.

The food was lovely. Our only moan is that we were in the restaurant longer than we hoped (three hours). Not great with 3 hungry boys and one tiny baby

The ambiance was extremely welcoming. My meal was exceptional, monkfish and another fish, beautiful crisp veg with salad. The wine Shiraz was very palatable. ✅

Really nice pub with lots of seating areas inside and out. The lunch menu was really varied and covered light meals as well as larger portions.

Lovely evening all round - food was excellent and flavoursome we had a burger, lamb shoulder, gammon steak, chicken and a pork belly dish. Service was outstanding and well prepared for the occasion. Very friendly staff.

We had an excellent evening; great food and service, totally spoilt by the behaviour of a table of men who were watching pornographic videos on their phones, and who when challenged seem to think their antics were acceptable. A very disappointing end to an otherwise very enjoyable evening.

Had a great time. The food was excellent. Speciality fish dishes were tasty and very well presented. The staff, as always, were friendly and helpful. We had our main course in the restaurant and our coffee in the amazing gardens. Highly recommended.

For a Monday night it was rammed, and that just shows what a great place it is to eat. Good food in a lovely place.

A group of load unreserved men were shouting the whole of the time. They were standing by the entrance of the restaurant. No staff asked them either to move into the bar area or inform them to be quiet. When I asked a member of staff, she laughed and said that they had been like this all day.

Food was lovely best meal I had out in a long time service was good too will be going back again we’ll worth a visit

Been loads of times never disappoints. Good menu roasts, I love the fish dishes and homemade puds delicious. Lovely pub great garden and friendly efficient service.

This was my first visit.. Can't believe I haven't been before. We walked through a tasteful relaxing garden to a welcoming bar. The restaurant was buzzing. I can't fault the service or the food. Started with very smooth duck pate, then the baked cod off the special board. I've been disappointed with eating out in general this summer, so it was such a breath of fresh air! Although 25 mins drive for us it's worth it.

Not the usual experience .. Potatoes not roasted to usual standard, veg out late, watery gravy, veg hard.wrong drink served , May not return for a while

Went to this pub recently for the first time. This is a great pub. Great food reasonably priced and excellent staff. Definitely will be back!

Great food & customer service as always. The menu choice is fantastic. My steak was cooked to perfection. I shall definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

We had a lovely meal and good value for Money

Lovely dinner & fabulous service as always! The steak was delicious and mint choc chip ice cream a major treat! The Brickmakers is always worth the visit.

we go often to the Brickmakers and always find it very good, both food and service. There is always a blackboard with fish dishes and they are happy to mix and match if you want to swap things around. The lady owner who was on duty yesterday lunchtime is charming and enthusiastic

As usual, great service matched by quality food. Very enjoyable evening. One of our regular go to restaurants that never disappoints. This time I started with a relatively new fish starter of prawn, smoked salmon and mackerel pate. With then a special main of sea bass fillet over a very tasty salad and cray tail. My wife (as usual) having her all time favourite of steak and kidney pudding. All very nice and I would highly recommend to try if you’ve not been before.

Very nice! Was really busy so struggled to park but atmosphere and service was really good. Very hot inside though. Could of done with a few fans

Great food but very slow service. A long wait before offered a drink and a very long wait between courses. I would go back though.

It was good but not great; from the slightly dated decor and interior furniture to the food which could have been a little more seasonal (heatwave and lots of winters food like steak and kidney pudding, pork belly and mash etc). And food could have been executed just a bit better, gluey mash from it being overworked, chips gone soggy as sat in water from the novelty colander holding the garden peas etc. But most of the staff were lovely and smiley which makes a big difference!

We have not been for ages but should go more often. Table ready with tap water already on the table. Food was very good as was the service. Will defiantly be back.

Excellent menu choice and service quite exceptional. Two of our party enjoyed the mixed seafood platter as a starter and the other chose the Brickmakers’ famous pate. For mains we chose a roasted half shoulder of lamb with a good selection of vegetables, the Caesar salad - another favourite - and two amazing fish cakes. All complemented with Estrella beers followed by excellent wines -available by the glass- from a fine wine list. Everyone very friendly and attentive and prices quite reasonable for the quality of ingredients and presentation. Couldn’t really be faulted.

We were a party of 4. The questions we had while ordering from the menu were all answered knowledgeably. The food and wine we chose was enjoyed by all of us. The service was certainly with a smile.

Staff pleasant. Food was very disappointing. Our Sunday roast could have been a lot better. A shame as nice place but food let it down
