We normally get lovely food here but today, was disappointing. Over cooked meat and service wasn't great.

Lovely place for an early Sunday lunch, tasty food at very reasonable prices and attentive service without being overbearing. One annoying factor that has affected the rating - I had the steak & kidney pie that, per the menu, came with spinach. This turned out to be one stalk of baby spinach so was disappointed with how stingy they were on the veg and wish I'd known when ordering. Otherwise our experience was a good one.

The Brickmakers is now under new management so we were anxious before hand that It might not be so good there. However, I can confirm that there were familiar faces among the kitchen and restaurant staff so all was well. Our table of 5 all enjoyed our food and our time spent there.

We had lunch with seven of our neighbours and it was excellent. The food quality was very good and the waiter was very helpful and patient with us while we all ordered different things and had to all pay separately! Slightly noisy with all the tables busy but we probably added to the volume with our chatter! Definitely will go again.

Did not like a dog jumping up on my guests prior to lunch, and no apology from the dog owner or the staff

Always enjoy going to the brickmakers, they have great food and drink. Service was very good, waitress really friendly, i had the seabass special, it was very nice.

Good reception on arrival. We got the table I requested. Very good selection of food on the menu and the daily specials on the blackboard. Service slightly on the slow side( quite busy). Good overall.

My first visit in the evening (previously had lunch there). Service was excellent. Food delicious and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back and look forward to sitting outside in the summer in what looks like a perfect setting 😊

Lovely food and friendly staff, tables are quite close together so the noise level was a little louder than we would have liked, sometimes it was distracting.

Love going to the Brickmakers. They were very busy but we were impressed how many staff were on so there was no long waiting times and the service and food was very good. However the only negative was it was very noisy that it was hard to hear the people opposite you in the table.

First time back here in quite a few years. Attended for a business lunch, venue is really nice and spacious. You can see the kitchen which we liked. Busy but didn't feel rushed and the ladies that do the service were excellent. Food very good indeed and reasonably priced given the quality and portions. Toffee pudding was to die for!! Overall recommended and we would go again.

I had booked - I know the place well as it's local - my guest wasn't local so I was rather sad that we were ignored on arrival - all it needed was a smile and "I'll be with you shortly". The food has always been good but please don't get complacent on the personal touch - as you know there is a lot of competition in the area
