Nice welcome. We were 20 minutes early but we're shown straight to our table in the window. Starters were great, one main was excellent the other (Cod) was didappointing. Good range of beers and wine. Very friendly and attentive service. Would go again.

It was freezing cold and my festive burger didn’t feel very festive, disappointing as the 3/4 times I’ve been before it’s been fabulous

Service very good, food okay but batter greasy and fish better on a plate. Tartare sauce unusual. Top marks for fresh peas n’ham served with fish

Lunch during aberdeenbrestaurant week was enjoyable. Restaurant temperature itself was bit cool though. Fig and ginger pudding was very nice -generous portion with lots of butterscotch sauce.

The chairs were on cobbles and I was rocking the whole time. It was also quite cold. My salmon was hard and unseasoned.

First visit. Friendly and welcoming staff, lovely decor / setting and amazing well cooked / well presented food. Large portions too, which was great! Couldn’t fault any of the food. Spot on! 👍🏻 I’d have much preferred to have decided what tip to pay myself though, rather than it being added on automatically, so that was a little off putting but other than that… faultless! 😃 We will most definitely be back! 👌🏻 Thanks

Staff not very welcoming. Food over priced. Vegan Mac and cheese very disappointing. Took an £11 service charge. Didn't enjoy our experience. Korean cauliflower starter was delicious though.

Well the food wasn't bad but it definitely did step up to the hype about them online . It was quiet bland and presentation wasnt best either. I've seen so much positive reviews so I had my hopes up and maybe that was my mistake . As I mentioned the food was just OK . Stuff was nice and friendly . Overall all atmosphere is strange as it is very quiet there and u basically hearing anyone who speaks in the restaurant. Also For some reason place was empty when we arrived and they still try to squish us into the smallest tablet in the corner of the restaurant. I asked to move us somewhere else and they did. I will not be back again.

Server was welcoming and attentive. She knew the menu well and was able to answer any points we raised. Menu had something for all tastes and was well presented. Wine was reasonably priced and again, offered a range to suit all food. We were left to enjoy our food and post lunch drinks which was perfect! Only slight issue was the lack oh heat on arrival but we did warm up as place became busier. Would visit again but wear more layers!

Great food - beautifully presented. Lovely atmosphere. Felt we were a bit rushed - asked for a wee break before dessert but after waiter came over third time in ten minutes we felt obliged to take it then. Other than that a great experience.

When we arrived we were welcomed in by a lovely waitress and shown our table. Our drinks came but we waited 30mins for our starter of duck liver parfait and when it arrived the sourdough bread was rock hard - very over toasted. For my main course I had the burger and I was looking forward to it but was unfortunately let down. The bun was so over toasted I literally snapped it in half, the pulled beef was dry and the outer ring around the burger was very over cooked. Overall I was very disappointed with the food after being recommended your establishment by a friend who works in the food industry.

Always a super warm welcome and great service! Wide menu choices, including vegan options and amazing selection of side dishes - we shared a portion of the parmesan fries with truffle aioli. 😍😍 After a very satisfying 2 course we found ourselves sadly unable to sample any desserts 😔 Just one reason to make a return visit. See you soon!

Amazing food. Time between courses was quite a while but the staff apologised more than once. They were short staffed and very busy indeed so we didn’t mind. Noise level was quite high and difficult to hear our companion at times. Didn’t detract from the fantastic food though.

Our lunch at the Braided Fig was fantastic as always. Lovely Crab Crostini Starter, Lemon Sole with Samphire, brown shrimp, grapes, and Cauliflower for Main Course was delightful. Cheese Board to finish with just the right amount of cheese, biscuits, and Relish. My only complaint is that they serve the wine in a wet, chilled glass. I asked them not to last time and they were perfectly happy to accommodate my request, but I forgot this time and got the wet glass again. Certainly won't stop me returning. Always attentive and friendly service. They do add a 10% service charge which is unusual in Aberdeen, but happy to pay it.
