The Bowling Green

The food as usual was excellent. Although very busy (unsurprisingly booked with Christmas parties) the staff still made us feel like a priority and even asked for our order so we could jump in before the big table next to us.

Brought a guest here for dinner. The food was excellent; the portions are always well sized and the staff are polite and friendly. They always make excellent food and drink recommendations which is great when you’re bringing a guest! The ales on tap could be expanded though.

Main meal was amazing, a little disappointed with the desserts, spoons used for dessert are a strange shape are not suitable for some of the desserts

We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. Food arrived quickly and was perfect. Excellent value for money.

A super pub and restaurant. Everything is as you would wish for a relaxing meal. A chum and I have been meeting there monthly for over 10 years - and we are picky people! We would not consider anywhere else.

Family Sunday lunch. We always receive a friendly welcome and polite service. The food was generally good and extra vegetables were brought to us when we asked for more. The only real downside this time was that the nut roast, that my son and I ordered for a change, was lukewarm.

First visit for Sunday lunch. Wasn’t disappointed. Real taste of home cooking. Good veg selection all beautifully cooked and served hot . Will definitely be back.

Lovely pub and staff were very helpful, but booked a table for 3.45 and when I arrived the lady who was serving had to check if the kitchen was still serving, as they stop at 4? In addition to this they also ran out of roasts which meant we had to choose something different from the standard menu which defeated the point of the visit. Real shame as otherwise the venue and staff were brilliant.

Very Good a bit noisy because there was a large party in for some special occasion but otherwise very good.

Very good. Service a little slow as a lot of parties being near Christi.

Food quality was good although the vegetarian option portion was rather small. Good range of vegetables. As large parties were being fed the restaurant was noisy. Staff were friendly and efficient.

If you want a simple meal for a reasonable price, it’s fine.

This Sunday lunch wasn't as good as usual which was a real shame as we usually really enjoy it. Hopefully just a glitch.

I don’t normally have a pudding, but tried the berry crumble and it was amazing. All of the meals we had were very good. The waiting time was a little bit longer than we expected, but as the pub is really popular, friendly and serves good food I guess this comes with success. Would not stop me from visiting again though.

Been many times on visits to family graves in Southam Churchyard. Never fails to satisfy when we call in for lunch.

We enjoyed a lovely mid week meal and were seated straight away and out drinks order was taken.

We all had Sunday roast dinner, it was truly delicious, service very good.

every time we have visitors we go to the bowling green as we know we will get a good meal and our visitors are never disappointed
