Great atmosphere, great service and food, as always. Will come back there very soon and will recommend to anyone looking for a nice gastropub !
Efficient and friendly service. Super characterful London pub with a buzzy atmosphere and space to sit at the bar. Food pretty good. Would definately recommend.
It was relatively quiet on a Wednesday evening but as always the food was fantastic. A really lovely pub overall and one I look forward to returning to
What's happened here? Normally the food is very good but this time we were presented with soggy chips and a 'grilled' mackerel caesar salad which was like a piece of curled up rubber on a few wilted leaves. Hopefully just an off day :(
Food good but VERY VERY noisy for any table in the front near the bar. Conversation very difficult if not impossible which detracted from the experience.
Venue is beautiful, food is amazing and staff is super friendly! Definitely worth a visit. Front is like a pub but in the back they have a dinning room too.
Great atmosphere, efficient service and lovely food! Will definitely go back, specially as it is my new local! Need to book in advance on busy nights
Great food, friendly atmosphere. Lovely local pub with welcoming service. A cosy place to meet friends when it is cold outside. delicious sweet potato chips !
Great, particularly with kids!! Good food, drink and service too!
Asked for solarium, didn't get it - a bit disappointing. Overall on point service, good food and brought the cake out with candles to the right person. So all in all, really good.
Excellent friendly service and delicious food, we had a great evening at the Bolingbroke. We will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu!
Roasts were really nice and service was kind and friendly. If you want to be seated in the main dining room make sure you specify on your reservation
Food, staff and atmosphere of the Bolingbroke are always amazing. Would go more often if I could find a table that is how good it is
I love the Bolingbroke for the atmosphere and their huge Sunday roasts. The wine list could be improved. Needs more bold, smooth reds! Can get very noisy in the back room if the decorations aren't up (which absorb some of the sound).
My boyfriend and I spent our anniversary dinner here. The Sunday menu was great, lovely food and a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely recommend to our friends
A really lovely gastro pub, one of the best in the area. Amazing, friendly and quick service - and absolutely delicious food in a beautiful setting. We loved it!
Excellent throughout. Great food and friendly welcoming service. There are many restaurants to choose from in the area. Not many that we return to. The Bolingbroke is the exception, we are never disappointed.
Always good atmosphere and great food at The Bolingbroke. Service was friendly and reasonable prices for food and drink. The only thing that would make it better is if it were that little bit closer to home.
Lovely pub with great selection of food and excellent service. Would highly recommend the Sunday roast.
Friendly waitress but rather rude bar manager who said no kids after 8pm (we arrived at 7pm) and made no effort to be jolly. Good food though
Great experience, lovely food with a warm atmosphere and good service.
Really nice food and great that they are so doggy friendly! Staff very friendly and efficient. Well priced menus will lots of tastes options. Recommended
Great food, service and atmosphere. We go to the Bolingbroke regularly and are never disappointed. I can't recommend it highly enough. We had a lovely Sunday lunch there, the food is always super.
This is a lovely restaurant and bar with really friendly staff. A good varied food and drinks menu with well presented dishes - what more could you ask for?
Brilliant menu. We all had trouble deciding what to have. The restaurant was busy but we were still able to hear each other so would recommend for group.
Very happy as always. Definitely one of my favourite pubs and will be back soon and often! And the January half price deal helps too.
Great food, delicious wine, excellent service in a warm and friendly environment, lovely evening. Loved the still and fizzy water which was just brought to the table throughout the meal, much appreciated!
On our visit we had great food, service and atmosphere. Definitely will be going back there again. The Bolingbroke is also in a very accessible location
Food was lovely but service was incredibly slow. I undertand Sundays are busy but this was really slow. Table we had was bumped into by a male member of staff a few times without one apology or slight akmoledwment. Overall an ok experience.
Good food and friendly service. Very nice atmosphere. Food was very good. All in all happy with the experience. Great to be able to book online and change booking to add an extra person at the last minute via email. Thanks.
Very nice atmosphere service was very good ,staff friendly food was very good would recommended to friends will definitely be going back in near future.
Excellent food and lovely atmosphere! The wine list is extensive and the staff and more than helpful with any queries. My extended family always make the effort to visit the Bolingbroke when they're here from overseas.
Brilliant pub/restaurant! Staff were really helpful & friendly, food was amazing & very family friendly. Make sure you reserve a table on a Sunday!
excellent food and service - been coming to the Bollingbroke for years and never had a bad meal and never made a complaint - great team delivering excellent service
Consistently great experience at the Bolingbroke, one of my favourite pub meals. And so festive at the holidays, too! Will definitely be back again soon.
Very good food with a very generous portion of chicken in the Caesar salad. Friendly service. I'm glad that I have discovered this gastro pub, since I live locally. It was recommended by a neighbour
Beautiful Christmas decorations creating a real atmospheric restaurant. It was a great festive menu with generous portions. Thank you also to the efficient and friendly staff!
Disappointing. We were a party of 5 + an 8 year old. Very noisy (had been warned about this by friends) may be it's the wooden walls. Strange mismatched chairs, some 'school' wooden chairs, hard & uncomfortable, the ones with (worn & marked) round padded cushions were too high. Staff not very interested, nice Sunday menu. My roast lamb was very chewy, the vegetables were far too 'al dente' and could not be cut with a knife. We were not asked if we enjoyed our meal or I would have complained about the lamb. Had to ask for mint sauce which came as a le of mint from a jar of shop-bought not very nice mint sauce. Sea bass was tasty as was the pork but it was not a cheap meal and did not live up to expectations. We will not go there again.
Great service, delicious food and with a wide menu choice all at a reasonable price. The staff were all extremely pleasant and very attentive without being intrusive.
I love the Bolingbroke for the atmosphere and their huge Sunday roasts. The wine list could be improved. Needs more bold, smooth reds! Can get very noisy in the back room if the decorations aren't up (which absorb some of the sound).
Great for a Bank Holiday lunch with friends and children. Really relaxed atmosphere, and good food. I'd like a little more variety and creativity on the menu, but perhaps it was just limited because we had the Sunday menu.
Good range of beers , interesting menu and food well cooked and presented A good gastrop - went at lunchtime in mid week and well patronised so obviously popular locally
The Bolingbroke is highly recommended - always great food, a lovely environment, adorable dining area at the back of the bar area. Very friendly staff too
Delicious and interesting food, good service, good ambience, and very child-friendly. A really enjoyable lunch, and we'll certainly be coming back to sample more cooking.
We had a most enjoyable meal at the Bolingbroke. The service and food was excellent and it has a great family atmosphere. We'll be back.
When we arrived the table was not ready for another 20 minutes. We were also then put on a very small table so our meal was cramped. We had three buggies with us, which I pre warned them about, but there was no where for them to go. So My husband and i had to eat passing our baby between us. The food was fine, but we felt rushed as we only had a two hour time slot. That's not long enough for a group of six.
I went with three others to the Bolingbroke on a Tuesday evening on their August 50% off food offer! The atmosphere was both modern and cosy, lovely decor and nice ambience. There was a great choice on the menu, approx 5-6 choices for each course and all the food was tasty and well executed. Service was pleasing and the whole experience was great, worth repeating. The price was incredibly reasonable on the offer but wouldn't be unreasonable even when the offer is not available. I look forward to going back. Parking was easy too after 6.30pm !
great food, lovely wine, great atmosphere. Portion sizes were huge. Great value for money. Service good considering they were very busy when we attended. recommended
Excellent meal. Friendly busy pub with great service. Really enjoyed the meal
Amazing roast - huge portion, food was great quality. I had roast lamb which was delicious and then sticky date pudding with Vanilla ice cream. We had an issue with our reservation where some of the guests didn't arrive and the staff were friendly and accommodating with this. Service was quick and we had a great evening We will be back again very soon, many thanks!
