The atmosphere is good and staff friendly and attentive the food was excellent we have been a few times and we were not disappointed at any time.

Really great food and service! Great location and very near the common. Feels really cozy and lovely interior! I’d recommend the roast but also great if you just want a drink.

OK food, OK service, but nice location. Nice looking pub, Starter was a bit bland but the wagyu burger was divine. Menu could have a few more choices though

Amazing venue, have been here before and it is always busy! The food was superb, all of my friends loved it and it was a really special birthday meal. I will always come back here and recommend to others.

We had Sunday Roast. The roast pork was described as belly, although I would say it was more of a pork roll. Still delicious though! Good apple sauce. Only qualm was the crackling was just the fat layer (no skin) and was not salty - so we did not eat it. The sticky date pudding was very, very well received!

Excellent early lunch with children, delicious food and friendly staff, great children's menu and the fresh pasta was delicious. We'll definitely go back again soon.

I’ve gone to the Bolingbroke several times and it’s always been fine. Today was different... server was so incredibly crabby, it was somewhat entertaining. He was literally exasperated when we had the “nerve” to ask for additional coffees (let out huge sigh and actually rolled his eyes when one person in our party ordered another drink 10 mins after he has asked us if we wante more coffees and we had declined... I wasn’t aware this was a “now or never!” offer). Fruit is in the menu, thus I asked to order an extra side of it and he told me “I probably couldn’t.” What?? After asking the chef he made it happen. Quite a special request, eh? All of the fresh cut apples in our order tasted like onions, so gross (dirty cutting board I assume). We didn’t dare mention it to our server, as we feared his head may in fact explode. Too bad, this used to be a nice, quiet spot for Sun brunch, don’t think we will return.

Love this place for casual night out with friends - only trouble is the noise at tables around the bar area - I couldn’t hear my friend across the table from me!

Excellent Sunday dinner. Really succulent roast beef, nice Yorkshire pudding (and I’m from Yorkshire so I know what I’m talking about), tasty vegetables- really good quality. Very good service and a nice, friendly atmosphere.

Brunch menu is a little limited but the food is tasty, the stuff are absolutely lovely and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Would recommend for a chilled brunch.

Lovely food in the cosy dining area at the back. V warm with the fireplace. Very pretty with all the Christmas lights. Service very friendly too.

Poor service, inattentive and the food lacked imagination. Toast and eggs was simply that - no butter, condiments. A side of bacon was one small piece - tough to take when the staff are eating bacon sandwiches stuffed full. Not returning.

Excellent food and service. Withiught fail we always have a wonderful experience. The food menu has regular staples and every now and again something new is added that is just as delicious as the old favourites.

Really nice food and good service. Good for lunch or dinner. Definitely more a restaurant feel than a pub and food isn't cheap, but if you want a nice meal out it's a good option.

Lively, buzzing atmosphere, obviously a popular place to eat. The food was delicious, and the price very reasonable. The only downside was a nasty smell that we thought was coming from a dog belonging to people on the next table, but was actually the toilets! Don’t think the waiter should have been quite so keen to tell us they had problems with their sewers, much better to let us think it was the dog. Not a great thing for a food provider.

Very busy and very noisy...as you might expect with just over two weeks before Christmas. However, the food was really tasty and the selection offered something for everyone.

Xmas style dinner was absolutely superb! Couldn’t fault it - probably the best pub meal I have had in a very long time! Great service, friendly staff, lovely festive atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We love the Bolingbroke. It's our home from home and we're lucky they're nearby. The food is always great, the menu's always changing and there's very little turnover in their staff - a sign of a happy business. Looking forward to going back already!

Tasty meal nicely presented, good service, not over attentive. Bill at first incorrect, should have been half price on food during half term school holidays but soon rectified. Rather a lot of dogs.

Was expecting a table in the actual restaurant area, but was put in the pub area. Didn't mind too much, although it was extremely loud. No candles or anything on the tables (although laid out very nicely). The cheeseboard was way too small for the price. However, the food was extremely good!

Best Sunday roast ever. My husband, son and daughter in law had the beef and I had the chicken - all very well cooked. Will definitely be back!

The food was amazing. We had beautifully cooked steak - tender and juicy. The bonoffee pie was also good. Fast, friendly yet pleasant informal service. It was not quiet but we found it lively and animated.

Excellent service, lovely meal and a nice atmosphere. We were the only ones left in the restaurant when we left, but no pressure was put on us to hurry up. Most impressive though was that they noticed my wife had left her handbag behind and rang me within minutes of our leaving the restaurant. Many thanks!

We used the 50% voucher deal to try this local neighbourhood gem. It was great value for money and excellent service. Happy to go back again. Food tasted really fresh.

If you like your roasts, then this is the place to come. The beef, lamb and belly pork are all very tasty dishes and the meat is very tender. Great atmosphere too.

Lovely food but rather slow service. Took 20 mins or so to even offer us a drink! Staff not particularly welcoming which is a shame.

I had the chorizo burger, lovely meal, great service and great atmosphere. Would recommend to book to eat in the conservatory bit out the back.

A nice pub but beware, this is a pub for babies who bring their parents along. More kids that adults most of the time and overrun with buggies. so great if you want a kid friendly place, not great if you are a couple and want a quiet meal. Food is normally good. this time i had a fish cake that was deep fried and not that nice, friend had a salad that looked great and fresh. Service was a little slow, just one gril running around kept trying to get their attention.
