Nice place, feels cosie, very nice and friendly staff, will definitely came back.
We went on a friday night and it was quiet loud, if you are looking for a quiet atmosphere maybe a differentd day is better, but we were quite happy as it created quite a 'buzz' vibe which we enjoyed. My food was good, I did hear the burgers were nothing special, but overall we enjoyed.
Good food, good atmosphere , good service & tables well spaced.
Lovely food and good service, will definitely be back again
very good value food , portions good , had sea bream
Food was expensive given that it wasn't the best. The burger was dry and the ravioli was quite bland. The restaurant area at the back had a nice feel although the music playing did not suit the atmosphere at all.
Food was good, service was lacking. It took a while to get more drinks and have plates, empties cleared - we had to ask multiple times.
Tasteless roast and very poor service. Shame as it used to be much better.
Great to have such a nice local restaurant, friendly staff and good food.
A lovely meal - always a lovely atmosphere and a bonus that there was a summer food offer on!!
Lovely spacious area, really appreciated that the tables weren't crammed together, particularly as it was quite warm - it also helped with the noise level in the restaurant. Food was delicious and the staff friendly and efficient. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Lovely chilled atmosphere, great food and friendly service. And 50% off G and T's before 7pm!
Good food, shocking service. Really felt unwelcome. Such a shame because I liked this pub and have had a great time in the past. Waitress was apologetic but by then we just wanted to leave.
Great food and good service. Menu had a good selection of choices.
Food poor - limp salad and desserts not as described.
Fantastic bilingual staff. You can bring your own wine for the price of their house white. Superb!
Excellent as usual love the new table and chairs outside
A waiter took our order and didn’t put the order through properly to the kitchen and people in our party we’re sitting there without food. Between her taking our order and food arriving, her shift finished and another waiter took over. The new waiter was great, but it was extremely disappointing for the first waiter to not properly place orders and then leave. The food wasn’t an issue - the bad first waiter was the thing that put a damper on the evening - especially when they put a 12.5% tip on the bill
Great family Sunday Roast with great service and brilliant atmosphere
As usual, great atmosphere, great food and lovely staff. Perfect for a get-together with friends..
Loved it, as always! Food and service were great 😃
Lovely Sunday lunch....yet again! Always hots the spot. Thank you.
Very nice evening, good food, apart from a couple of slight details (duck could be more tender, and slightly burnt apple crumble). Really appreciated they let us bring our own wine bottles.
Charming restaurant at the rear of gastropub. Friendly, attentive staff and beautifully cooked modern European dishes. A misunderstanding caused some delay.
Had a lovely roast at the Bolingbroke would definitely recommend
The food was excellent. Would eat there again. Great starters.
We had never been here before but decided to book as it wasnt too far away and Three Cheers had a 50% off food over the half term week. Well, the food was divine, three sharing plates between the two of us for starter (try to have the broccoli guacamole- its incredible!) And then two mains. We decided not to have desserts but they looked very tasty too. The service was great and the pub was full- we had a little booth which was so nice. Would definitely come back!
Good food and good service. Would benefit from a few menu changes like they used to do
Food was brilliant and the staf were amazing. Quick to serve and felt very at home
Great gastropub. Friendly staff & good table service. Great choice of food. Would definitely go back.
The room was barely lit... Too dark to my liking. Duck was definitely not tender enough. But: delicious "small plates" (starters) and desserts, nice service!
Atmosphere good, staff friendly. Beef over cooked and gravy tasted of Bisto.
Food excellent. Waitress excellent. Manager rude and disrespectful quite negative
It was amazing as always. The new waiter that had his first day today was really fantastic and was a little shy but helped us out with all our needs. He is definitely a catch and I am sure that he will blossom within the role
Always comes up tops. Lovely staff, fab food. Thank you!
Lovely Saturday evening meal. The service got a bit worse as it got busier but there only seemed to be one person serving the whole back section so that’s understandable. Really lovely food, atmosphere and overall experience.
Great pub lovely food and fab staff always very good
Great food, service and atmosphere. I would definitely go again!
Food good. V Disappointed you were out of one of the vegan choices. Side of veg didn’t arrive until end of meal, with no apology?
Great local pub. Good admosphere and food but very noisy.
Tasty food, good service, friendly atmosphere and helpful staff all made for a really lovely lunch
Excellent as always. Really friendly and accepting of people with baby’s that throw their food on the floor!
lovely food, great choice for vegetarians and their vegan burger is fantastic!!! dog friendly and great atmosphere Definitely recommend to go there and eating in the back is beautiful
Great food and service. We especially enjoyed the crab linguine starter. It’s a Lovely place for a relaxed lunch with the kids. Will definitely go again.
Such a good night! Great food, friendly service and really beautiful decoration of the restaurant bit at the back. We were 5 and all enjoyed the experience! Thank you!
The Bolingbroke is a really good gastro pub. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Good atmosphere, relaxing and smart but informal decor. (I would also like to add that last time I was there with a friend in a wheelchair, the staff were incredibly helpful to make his visit there as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.)
Delicious food, helpful service and lovely ambiance, especially in the conservatory restaurant. We can especially recommend the avocado and broad bean dip and the nuttela gnocchi with banana ice cream!
The dinning room at the back was beautifully decorated with huge flowers hanging from the high ceiling of the conservatory. Food delicious and service perfect.
I love the Bolingbroke. The staff are really friendly and they don’t make you feel uncomfortable when you come in with babies or children. The food is generally good but sometimes it could be better, for example, the peas in my roast dinner were the opposite of fresh and tasted bitter. The brownie was quite hard, so either over cooked or a bit burned around the edges. Other than that, I can’t fault them!
Good food and good service! Drinks were kept topped up and the food came swiftly after ordering. Recommend it to anyone wanting a good meal
