No hospitality, no atmosphere, dull as dishwater and the food wasn’t much better. Boars head boring. Expected as a first timer to be welcomed. Shame!
There was four of us, we all enjoyed the food and the service was excellent, and value for money, we will certainly be visiting again soon. There was also a good selection of draft beers.
Very friendly nice atmosphere 😁 Chef recommend the beer battered fish the meal was excellent 😁 Definitely will be returning to sample more beer & food 😁
Tasty pub grub ...no rump steaks .. No French mustard. However the sirloin was cooked to perfection .a no frills place to eat but worth a visit.
We have visited the Boars Head on many occasion and had a good experience. Unfortunately this time it was extremely noisy spoilt by noisy customers at the bar. Plus points good food and waitress service.
The Boars Head is situated within a lovely village. Pleasant interior surroundings. Good quality food served at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will be returning.
Food good but we had to wait nearly an hour considering no one else was eating at the time. We have not had to wait before.
Staff seem friendly but bit lacking. No desserts!! Well we weren’t offered any! Sunday roasts nice but could’ve done with more vegetables, staff said they’d come and check but they didn’t. More gravy required too.
Great pub grub, nice atmosphere and helpful staff! We had a large table which included kids and babies and everyone was catered for, even had a high chair waiting for us on arrival!
Wonderful Sunday lunch after a glorious walk around Charlcote Park. The choice was great and the quality of the food was very high - beautifully cooked and attentive cheerful staff.
Very nice local pub with a lovely atmosphere and food was great too x Staff very helpful and attentive will definitely be visiting again very soon
Excellent service and good quality food. Busy but food was quickly served. Will go again in the future. Good selection of beers. Friendly helpful service.
Visit on a regular basis and food always excellent and staff always very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
We thought that the evening was good, The Boars Head had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious, presented and served very well it, we would certainly go there again.
Lovely food, friendly staff, would definitely go back again. Food served nice and hot and within a reasonable amount of time. Would highly recommend a visit
Pleasant environment, made to feel very welcome by everyone. Good food but a bit expensive for pub grub. Would certainly go again if ever in the area.
A really good value meal staff very good. Pub was busy but we were not rushed.A good meet up with old friends we only see twice a year
Great food, great customer service and most important great beer, would recommend to anyone wishing to frequent! Even has a little grocery shop in side
It was nice to sit in front of a lovely warm fire on a cold and wintery day. Both choice of beer and food was good and service was great.
The staff were very good even though the place was busy. Good menu with a variety of dishes. We all had the roast with the beef being especially good. Unfortunately the roast potatoes were overdone.
Our third year visiting this village pub. Lovely food as usual. Staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome. Looking forward to our next visit. :)
A relaxed pub atmosphere with good size car park and friendly staff. The menu (we went for Sat lunch) offered relatively simple choices which were well cooked. Would go again. especially as Hampton Lucy is such a nice quiet location.
Booked for a small family get together and a little unsure in arrival as not from the area however we had a fabulous Sunday lunch just like mom made it served by lovely friendly staff
Ate here after a trip to Charlecote Park. Great food, big portions and good value. Obviously very popular as was very busy when we left
Service was great and the food was excellent. Great pub and will definitely be going there again. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent good quality, home cooked food. Fab portions and all freshly cooked. Service good. Decor nice and fresh and homely. We had fresh bartered fish and chips which was delicious, home made lasagne and gammon. All tasty and well cooked
We were very pleased with the quality of the food and the promptness of service. The decor was interesting but not intrusive. Members of the party said they would like to return. There is a pleasant outdoor seating area.
good staff good food I was unable to try beer or wine but my friends said it was very good Hope to return in the near future
Small but busy country pub. Reservation had been acted upon despite only being made a couple of hours before dining. Food tasty, decent beer, plenty of parking at the pub. For eating out whilst on a short break we couldn't knock it.
Lovely people who went out of their way to welcome us. Beer top class food excellent. It is a great pub in a beautiful setting
Very good food & very attentive & friendly waitress. Nothing too much trouble for her. Not rushed so relaxing family meal enjoyed by all. Thank you.
Great food-presented well and served by most pleasant staff, will re-visit. A very country inn with good friendly staff and very good selection of ales.
A regular haunt for us. Excellent choice of quality foods, large portions, served hot, and tasty, and great 'pub' atmosphere, with a really nice bar and kitchen team. Accommodating chef for the gluten intolerant amongst us.
Just lovely. Bright and clean with vety friendly staff. Good but uncomplicated menu with fantastic specials. Food very hot and tasty. Certainly not overpriced and overall a really nice experience. Not our first visit and most certainly not our last.
Good food at sensible prices, great beer selection and friendly service all with a traditional pub atmosphere. Room available for larger parties, we used the main bar.
Cozy local pub with good food and a selection of beers on tap. Friendly staff, great place to stop just off the M40 with plenty of parking available
A very enjoyable meal, with a good size starter and main meal Will come again soon. Room nice and warm with good service by two ladies involved
Really good. Generous portions, hot plates, good service & friendly. Made for a very pleasant evening. Will definitely be going back. Just needs the open fire running to complete the atmosphere.
There had been a funeral at the pub so it was very busy; quite a few meal options were not available; the food was good quality but basic pub-grub; but the meals took an hour to arrive. Staff were friendly.
Easy to book online at short notice, pleasant staff, food served promptly, village pub atmosphere, near to Charlecote Park and ideal for Sunday lunch before a visit.
It is a friendly pub - the.service was good as was the food. It had a liveley atmosphere. Set in a Very pleasant rural location
Good simple food in a lovely cosy atmosphere. Staff very efficient and helpful including cooking an extra sausage for the dog! Would definitely recommend it.
This is the second occasion on which I have used his venue in company with five friends. We found the service to be excellent and the food to be well prepared and enjoyable.
