The food and service are excellent but the place could do with a bit of refurbishment, especially the carpet. It is always busy so best to book
A warm and friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious. The only fown dude was the wait in the queue for the carvery - but that was expected at 2.30 on a Sunday. Overall, an extremely positive experience, highly recommended!
Visited the Blue Bell before and loved the place - this visit was no different. Always found the food of a high quality and helpings plentiful. Plus they have their own brewery!
The Blue Bell pub is in a delightful location and has a great menu. The meals are very generous portions good quality and very reasonable prices. This was our first visit and we will certainly be visiting again in the near future.
Full pub which was a good sign. Ordered 6 meals which were lovely. Loads of food and prices very reasonable. Would recommend. Been told the Sunday roast is excellent.
We went 8 people for Sunday Carvery and it was brilliant as usual, we booked on Friday to ensure the availability of spaces, because on Sundays is usually fully booked. If there is good weather you could eat outside.
We couldn't fault the Sunday lunch, really nice, only thing we just didn't like was the seating lay out, small round table's practically on top of the bar no sorry.
The best carvery for miles. Really friendly atmosphere and amazing home style food in a small large a quantity as you can manage. The quality of all of the produce was excellent and the service was efficient and super friendly. Can't wait to go back!
Fabulous food - I had the steak (Ribeye). Cracking, well-kept ale (I had the HPA)!!! All in all very good value - we will definitely be returning...!
Spot on. Great wholesome food, good portions and attentive staff. Makes a really nice change from the 'Bistro Pub' or the chains with their mass produced offerings. Highly recommended
If you like fine dining, this is not for you, if you want an excellent priced carvery that also tastes amazing then this is the one for you!!
It is a little tiered in there but the food is really good and a great choice off the menus and special boards what a find will be going there more often
Lovely food at reasonable prices. Varied menu so a good choice in fact I could had chosen more than 1 meal. Staff very friendly. We will go again.
Beautiful food , friendly and lovely staff . Makes you feel like you are at home . This is now our local favourite pub. 😍😋
It is a family place with great food. We went on Sunday, and we had Sunday roast. It wasn't our first time, but it was booking table by internet.
We were not impressed. Sorry. Didn't like the seating arrangement. We sat under the television, which had football playing. The vegetables didn't look appetising, either.
This pub is an old country style pub, sat ons quiet road but seemed very busy. Good food, plenty of choice- big portions and hot. Best Carvery we've had in ages.
Great Sunday carvery with big portions. Loved the cheesy mash! Staff all extremely friendly despite having had a late night the night before for fireworks night. Will definitely be visiting again.
First time at the Blue Bell Cider House. The carvery was excellent. Loved the cheesey mash and huge portions of meat. Will definitely come again.
Food is lovely, staff are friendly. Excellent value for money. Shame they don't do chips on a Sunday. Never judge a book by its cover
wonderful food and plenty of it. good location right by the canal.we will be returning soon when the weather picks up a bit, mayby when the leaves start to change
Simple no frills meal at a reasonable price in a pleasant atomospere. Good parking easy to find and set next to the canal makes a nice setting.
Lovely Sunday carvery again even me as a vegetarian loves coming and having the meat free carvery just ask for vegetarian gravy it's delicious. Food served hot tastes fresh plenty of vegetables.
Great food, friendly staff and the regulars are friendly too. There's a gluten free pudding menu which pleases the wife. Will make this a regular on my list of preferred places to dine
Visited on a Sunday lunchtime and chose the carvery. Excellent value with different size portions at different prices available. Excellent idea. Lovely flavours, good choice of vegetables and friendly staff. Recommended.
Good service, lovely home cooked food, nice atmosphere, we booked a table but chose to eat outside which was not a problem, would definitely visit again
Best Sunday lunch in the Solihull Area by far plus a great choice of beers and ciders. Fully recommend this establishment for s Sunday day out.
Lovely pub on the canal serving great value excellent Sunday roasts . Offers three different portion sizes for adults & home brewed cider called Black Rat .We will definitely be coming back.
We did have to send one meal back because the omelette was burnt, but the replacement was lovely. It was just a shame as it was our anniversary. I would return to the Blue Bell as I like the pub and the meals are very good. The staff are very friendly.
A lovely pub in comfortable surroundings. Good choice of food. We had the carvery which was excellent. Also a very good choice of ciders and real ales.there was a nice beer garden with good size seating area. Will definitely be going back.
Beautiful carvery 10/10 would recommend. Aswell it's by the canal which is lovely to sit and watch the boats go by after a lovely meal.
loud busy no space to sit, all great signs of good food & it was amazing food. next time we will pre book, & there will be a next time very soon i'm sure.
I have many fond memories of the Blue Bell Cider House from a few years back, so it was quite sad to see that the decor is now looking a bit tired. The staff were lovely and friendly, as well as being very helpful and attentive. The range of beers is still good. I also had half a pint of one of the 3 ciders on offer, just right. We chose from the over 50s 3 course lunch menu. The food was simple and portions were copious. Rather odd that when I booked on line it said that I should hurry because there were only a few places left. There were, however, not many diners.
Food was fabulous as always great taste and service. However this time the table we were on was too cramped for us and we were way too close to the next table
Welcome was great. Everyone very friendly. Food not posh nosh but was presented and cooked well. Everyone really enjoyed there meal. Definitely will go again. Largest puddings menu and excellent. Lovely setting right by the canal.
Food was good, seating a bit squashed as felt like the table next to us were on our table. Took ages to get served at the bar but staff were nice.
The food here was Great very good selection great atmosphere excellent prices felt like really good value for money loved the choice of cider good night
Lovely food.very basic style eating area.but would go back again. Would be great for a summer evening.Staff were very friendly to. Can't wait to return
We stopped in whilst staying over in the area for a night. Great value, good quality pub food and a most enjoyable (and unexpected) pub quiz.
Another fab carvery at the Bluebell and even a take away for someone who couldn't come with us fabulous choices and delicious food loved it
Fabulous carvery I'm vegetarian but there was more than enough vegetables for me to eat and I was offered a meat free gravy. The ratatouille was delicious. My husband loved the beef it said it melted in his mouth. We will be going back.
Not as good as it used to be meals used to be a lot better. Liver very hard and fish very bland. Steaks were good and the gammon
It was great as usual, we went for some sandwiches and they were really good. The children could have a great time outside as well, so, good option for Saturday evening.
Had family meal for daughters 21st. Lovely friendly atmosphere, staff very helpful, meals brought quickly, cooked beautifully and plenty of it, great value for money, you can walk your dinner off along the canal next to it or sit in the garden and watch the boats go past. Definately recommend anyone to try.
Lovely food, nice and hot. Large portions. Service at the bar could be a little quicker, they prefer to serve the locals before anyone else!
