Good meal ,fast service, good vibe, nice place. I am satisfied.
Great service, lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Bravo Beeswing 👏👏👏
Whilst service slow it was a very pleasant evening with excellent food
The whole visit was perfect. Had a lovely evening !
We’d booked for 10 but 17 turned up and we were looked after really well.
I had booked a table for a big birthday celebration, the service was slow even though they were not that busy when we arrived. The food we ordered I asked to swap a meat and was told no I couldn’t do that, u was a little unsure as to why though? The food cane however was on the cool side, my mums potatoes were cold in the middle. Food tasted ok though, then the plates were taken and we asked for pudding menus, we didn’t receive these for another 20 minutes. Then waited another 10 for someone to come over to take our order, then being told “don’t know if you know, we have had 2 big tables arrive so Pudding won’t be out for 30 minutes! We decided not to have pudding and weren’t very happy, when I arrived the man told me I was the only one who had booked a table! I was very annoyed about the Pudding and the waiting time as I had booked a table! Very upset and don’t know if I will come back
We were a party of four. The décor was great. To start with there was only one other couple. We were quickly served a three course meal plus drinks plus coffee. It was excellent food and excellent service. If I had to criticise it would be that the portions are huge. I was full up after my starter, It wasn't that the plates were piled with food there was just plenty of it. A great place for a night out. A three course meal, wine and coffee worked out about £30 each.
The menu was limited, we were only told at the table it was only roast dinners. Our waiter went out of his way to ensure I could have fish and chips.
Food was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back soon and recommending to friends.
Yorkshire was tasteless as we're roasted potatoes.very much dissatisfied really
Went for my birthday meal with girlfriend food was fantastic and hot when arrived staff very friendly. Maybe add few more pub classics to menu would be ideal Apart from that would definitely recommend Got free meal for my birthday with pub app. which is a lovely idea Definitely be back !!
It’s just not got it we went when it 1st opened. Brill. . But now service is extremely slow. The foods okay but nothing special no mustard it’s a restaurant. For god sake. The cheese board. Brill the Proffiter rolls Cream Vastly Over whipped it shame they need to improve. Or there out the game
Food was ok, waitress came back 4 times to tell us they didnt have what we ordered. Service wasnt amazing especially as it wasnt really busy.
Service was so slow and it was half full,2hrs for 2 courses for 2 if us.
Very busy night, the staff polite. Chips were cooked so much there was no potato left on all plates with chips and the fish consisted of a copious amount of batter. Other meals though were fine and tasty. Had to go to the bar to pay as we were forgotten.
Good atmosphere, food of high standard and plenty of it.
Great food (including vegetarian option for me), served quickly - excellent - will return !
Excellent all round.we will definitely return.portions were huge .Very impressed
Food was very good and the portions were massive. No room for dessert.
Very nice place, some food was very good, some a little over cooked and running low on condiments. But overall not too bad .
Such a shame, the pub decor & atmosphere is lovely, menu good too. We've been here numerous times since inn-credible took it over & the experience is getting worse. This last time we had to wait at least 45 mins between courses & the lamb was the tiniest lamb shank we have ever seen. All the other tables were also complaining & none of their food came out together - this is awful service. So sad to see all the empty tables on a Saturday night when all the other town restaurants are busy (clearly down to the Beeswing's unfortunate reputation). Feel so sorry for the staff as it seems they're not given the resources to be able to provide a good service & yet they take all the 'flack'. So to me the only ones responsible are the inn-credible company. We were advised by others not to eat here but thought we'd give it another go, however unfortunately we now won't be returning.
The food was inedible unfortunately as it’s a lovely setting
The service was not great considering the amount of people that were in the restaurant. Food not overly hot as plates did not feel that warm.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and at short notice decided to have a meal out and booked a table at short notice. As this restaurant was close to home a short walk as all it needed to enjoy an excellent meal in an ambient way.
The Sunday lunch was not hot enough, and the gravy was only just warm, From ordering desserts, we waited nearly 15 minutes.
Normally we enjoy the Beeswing however on this occasion we were really disappointed! The service was poor despite the staff standing around behind the bar chatting, the food was overcooked, and our drinks order was forgotten!
Service was poor from the restaurant staff. Mixed grill arrived without the black pudding advertised when this was mentioned lady came back threw the pb down and walked off. Didn’t offer a steak knife no sauces etc. You would of thought I’d of asked for an additional porterhouse steak by her indignation. Wouldn’t go back and would never recommend
A Lovely place to eat and drink, would definitely reccomend
fantastic food and service. Will revisit soon! can't wait! would recommend
would recommend to friends and family and will be back very soon
fantastic service and food was delicious. staff are very helpful
fantastic service great food lovely atmosphere. would recommend to friends and family
Had Sunday lunch which was a good size portion, beef excellent. Didn't stay hot for long though.Service could have been better waited long time to order despite being second table occupied and four staff seemingly doing nothing.
Great night out. Great service and food. Brilliant pub for families and friends. 1 year after closing for refurbishment and looks to be worth its investment.
Lovely food, good service and nice atmosphere. Very enjoyable !
Food was good, and plenty. Staff are friendly and helpful.
We booked in the car on the way to pub, a very late booking, so glad to have the ability to book online. The service was excellent, friendly, helpful staff, regularly checking if we were okay, but not intrusively. The food and service has improved greatly. My husband was disappointed the ribs are no longer in the menu, but enjoyed his fish and chips. I enjoyed my fishcake meal, butit did not match the description in the menu, and could do with a larger poached egg, to match the size of the fishcake.
Lovely food, very nice environment and attentive staff. Brilliant. Recommend
Great service and excellent food - would definitely go again
We booked a table for 7.00pm so guess that the roasts we ordered suffered from being late in the day. It’s a shame that the standard is gradually getting worse since the refurbishment if The Beeswing as this wasn’t our first disappointment. The restaurant side was also virtually empty which is a sign that things aren’t good. Please look to improve the quality of the food and service.
Great food, value for money. Lovely staff too. We will definitely visit again.
A fantastic local pub with a good selection of drinks and excellent food First class service from all staff very friendly, polite and professional Highly recommend a visit
Very polite staff meals very good pub itself very clean
Very disappointing. One of our starter was forgotten. We had to ask for it .my main was brought out before everyone else. It turned out it was a another tables.
The food was good but the service wasn’t as good. No one came to ask if how our food was. It also took around 25 minutes for out desert to come
Lovely evening and atmosphere- thank you see you again soon
good value, great price and a great way to celebrate farthers day. will come again
Food was great and staff were very friendly and helpful
Nobody greeted us on arrival so had to seat ourselves. We sat in corner away from door as I had requested a table there. Nobody came to take our order for 20 minutes despite there only being 3 other tables and 3 members of staff. Then another 10 min wait for our drinks (cider, g&t and water.. ..not challenging). Then about 20min after this we were then asked to move to another table and sat near the door despite me explaining we had requested a table away from the door. We then waited another 15 plus minutes and still no food so I then managed to wave someone down and check on where our food was (nobody had come to check on drinks at any point despite our glasses being empty). It then came out about 5/10 min later. My food was Luke warm and poor. Ordered hunters chicken. The BBQ sauce was dry and over cooked. Worst hunters chicken ever. Cant comment on other girls food but I did notice nobody said that it was good etc. Nobody checked on us during the meal despite being near bar area. When asked for bill nobody came back for payment so after further 15-20min we had to go up to bar to pay. Left without any one acknowledging us. Looks great now after renovations but polishing a turd is a quote that comes to mind.
Great pub food - very accommodating staff - and the Prosecco was half price. Also, a good range of healthy meal options pleased many in our group.
