Sunday lunch disappointed, there is better places, and better value. Expected better aged sirloin too fatty.

Wonderful spinach and celeriac soup. The fish was very good, however, I really don’t understand the sautéed potatoes. Just new ones please. I don’t class frozen peas as a ‘seasonal vegetable’. The cream in the peas made the whole thing too rich. What has happened to some fruit in a pudding?

I have coeliac disease and often get anxious about eating out but every time i have visited the Bay Horse they have accommodated me without any problems and the food has been out of this world. My boyfriend and I have returned within 1 month for each of our birthdays and I cannot wait until our next visit. The halibut and clam risotto was possibly the best dish i have ever had.

Another excellent meal at The Bay Horse. The prices, on the menu, may look high, but look beyond the price, the food is always first class and you really do get what you pay for. We had the fillet steak and it was truly superb.

An extremely nice meal in a lovely dining room. Just as we would have expected from somewhere that features in the Good Food Guide. Very subtly flavoured risotto, good fish. My partner had the pea soup followed by pork tenderloin. This dining pub is a real asset to a pretty village.

We booked for Sunday lunch but when we got there at 3pm the restaurant was very busy so we had to wait 30 min for our table, but we just sat in the bar and had drinks and looked at the menus. Food was excellent and floor staff were very attentive. Unfortunately the service from the itchen was very slow, not up to the usual standard, so we were there for a lot longer than we’d planned.

Beautiful village setting, lovely ambience and traditional decor but with Michelin star quality feel to it. The staff are very polite and attentive. The FOOD! Wow the food is out of this world, true Michelin star quality, beautifully presented, full of adventurous flavour, the textures just melt in your mouth. I also loved that they recommended wines to go with each dish just to add to the experience. Would definitely eat here again, would recommend to everyone.
