Great food and service. Some great memorabilia, especially if you’re a Liverpool fan. Drinks reasonable and a good selection of wines. I would personally recommend the the beef cheeks as a main meal - excellent. Overall a very pleasant evening.

Excellent service. Excellent food. The "Early Bird" Menu - which is good value and advertised on their website, was not available, but provided when I asked for it.

Food was amazing. We didn't want a massive meal and there was just enough to fill us but not over fill. Steak was cooked to perfection just how I like it. Thanks so much.

Atmosphere, service and quality of the food and drinks were all excellent and only exceeded by the value for money. A little gem and a great find.

Overall, we had a fabulous meal in a lovely restaurant. Not too formal. Comfortable surroundings. Just felt the service could be a little sharper and the food a bit warmer. When our order was taken we were told they would bring a jug of water and some bread. The jug of weather arrived. No bread. This omission was rectified later, but the bread was then brought with our main course. Lovely bread by the way. Not sure how far the kitchen is from the restaurant but would not describe the food served as hot, more lukewarm. Fortunately it didn’t detract from what was a beautifully presented and very tasty meal, but I do prefer hot dishes to be served hot. I will visit again, and as a Liverpool fan I found the memorabilia interesting and a talking point. The staff were helpful and friendly. We arrived early, and at that point the restaurant wasn’t busy and the noise level was quite low, but as the evening progressed the noise level increased and if there are a couple of large boisterous groups I suspect it could get a little noisy. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I will visit again.

Food quality very good - soup served without rolls which were still being cooked & did arrive after more than 1/2-way through starters. Table was on edge of the bar & thus became very noisy as the bar filled up although the restaurant was not too busy. Due to location of table it was quite chilly with the front door being regularly opened. Overall just a few points away from being a good experience.

The food and service top notch, the thing that spoilt the night was having over a dozen televisions playing a football match absolutely no need nor necessary on a New Year’s Eve; the music so loud couldn’t hear yourself talk

Went here for a special Xmas meal out with friends. Was impressed with the menu, good variety and although on the pricey side not too pricey to put you off. Starters arrived ok but then there was a LOOOONG wait for the mains, were on the point of asking if we were ever going to be fed when it arrived a good 40 minutes after our starters. The place wasn't busy but perhaps the food was cooked fresh, even so it was a long wait. All the food was lovely but the servings were a bit stingey on the the veg. Why don't places give you enough veg? It's the cheapest thing on the menu. They can only be wanting you to buy the accompaniments, but you don't know you'll need this until you are eating. Meat was wonderful, very tender and flavourful. Between us we had ox cheek, fish, pork and lamb. All delicious. There was a singer performing on the night we went. Unfortunately it wasn't really our thing - very droning James Blunt style and he was so loud. We couldn't hear each other talking, which was a shame because it was a catchup meal where we hadn't seen theses friends for ages. We asked if the music could be toned down a bit but nothing came of that and we ended up sitting looking at each other. The other aspect that was mentionable was the height of the chairs at some tables. My husband is quite tall but even he looked like a child sitting on very low chairs at a table that came mid chest height. Very strange. Staff were very friendly and attended to us making sure we had enough drinks and even attempting to act on our request to have the music down just a bit. Overall we enjoyed our evening but I'm not sure I would recommend any of my friends to go there or go again myself.

It started with a man drilling the wall to mount a TV, right next to us in the bar. We moved to the restaurant area which, felt like sitting in the reception due to its close proximity. It was so cold that we had to put our coats on as the front door was constantly opening (even the staff were huddled around an electric heater). And then, entered a children's Christmas party along with a visiting Santa! It was a cold and noisy dining experience. However, the food and the service were good.

Lovely surroundings, food was nice and staff were polite; they did miss the chance to take drinks orders a few times though. There seemed to be a person for every job people to take orders/bring drinks, bring food, clear plates and clear glasses.
