Lovely food. Great value. Service was slow though. We had to prompt to have order taken and lengthy gaps between courses. Nice ambience though and staff very friendly

Staff lovely. Service excellent. Portion size huge - not really a complaint but just worth knowing . The tables at the front are in a light airy atmosphere. At the back a bit dark and dingy!

Good service and reasonable prices. Like the fact that you can order smaller portion which was perfectly adequate. Fish and chips very fresh and tasty

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food and very reasonably priced. I am a regular user of The Avenue and have been for some years. There is no loud music. The place is beautifully set out having been refurbished recently.

Ordered a chicken katsu and the sauce was inedible. Rather than the normal Japanese curry sauce I was given a small black jar of something which resembled tar. It was thick, black and disgusting.

As always the food is delicious and well presented. If you haven't tried The Avenue- I would highly recommend and suggest trying the Scottish tapas

Good menu with a varied selection of food and drink for all tastes. Competitively priced. The food was excellent with the service all very good. Only criticism was the high noise level coming through from the bar area which made it difficult to have any conversation.

An excellent selection of delicious food on offer, with rapid, courteous service. The children's menu is limited but adequate - but portion size is best for 8 years and under. Al in all, we had a lovely meal - thank you!

Very disappointing. Got great reviews but was not nearly as good as expected. Food portions huge but that’s not always good. Food was not hot - had read before but hoped would not happen to me! And some food over cooked . Random serving of curry in a cardboard box? Set menu not a good balance. Not tempted to go back .

We have just moved to Bishopbriggs and had had this restaurant (The Avenue) recommended to us. We chose the £30 deal for two main courses and a bottle of wine. The wine was excellent and my husbands curry dish was good. My chicken dish was flavoursome but cold as was the Irish coffee that I had later. When we asked for desert we were told that the kitchen was closed which we thought was strange. Our excellent waitress however managed to source some ice cream and cheese cake. The meal in itself was good value but the experience somewhat bland. I think this restaurant is banking on its reputation and. could try a little harder

Always enjoy coming to The Avenue; however am seriously unimpressed with their new menu. Where is the Avenue Salad?! That was a classic and has been replaced by a bland vegetarian salad. Don't feel theres enough choice in the new menu, bring back the old one!

I was disappointed the last 2 occasions I ate here but decided to give it another go after the refurbishment, to see if the food had improved. I'm sorry to report I was disappointed again. The kids macaroni was congealed looking as though it had sat under a heat lamp so my toddler wouldn't touch it. I ordered from the tapas menu & I have to say this is very overpriced! The prawns especially were not as nice as I've eaten before despite being more expensive. The staff are lovely however we won't be returning.

The staff were excellent, drinks were fine, the burger & fries again excellent. The salmon was nice however the potatoes were slightly over cooked, what I don't understand is why salmon with potatoes and veg is served with toast ??? Apart from that it was very nice.
