Atmosphere is always busy. Staff are well trained. Food always consistent above average.
Lovely pub great staff, good food and wine choices - would go back again!!
Very pleasant experience. Group very happy with food and service. Live locally but thought just pub grub and never thought about coming will be regular from now on!!
Very enjoyable Sunday lunch. Child friendly and very good service.
Lovely local restaurant that we frequent. Food is always reliable and always friendly staff.
It looks like a small pub when you go in but the dining area winds round into lots of cosy tables, including a mezzanine (where we were). The food was delicious and the ambience lovely. Would recommend.
Not an extensive menu but it was Sunday with Sunday lunch options.
always enjoyed the pub but never knew the food was that good. it was nice to be able to try it with the 50% discount
A great experience. Interesting food, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere in a charming setting.
What should have been a quick dinner for two at our neighbourhood pub took two hours. Kitchen and front of house were woefully understaffed. Three servers for the entire restaurant (including drink mixing at the back bar) meant no sign of a waiter for ten minutes or more at a time. This was not our first experience with absent staff at The Abbeville. Food prices are generally quite reasonable; during summer with a half-price offer, they're a bargain. Be warned: you get what you pay for. Typically-inattentive service takes a turn for the worse.
The food was definitely not as good as it has been in the past and the service was incredibly slow.
Amazing pub and great Sunday lunch - really attentive staff
The food was tasteful and the place has just been remodeled with nice and cosy corners. The staff were really kind with children. Will come back soon!
The staff were friendly, accommodating and efficient. The food was lovely if a little on the pricey side (even though we were using a 50% off voucher) but the quality was great. The pub/restaurant itself was really nice and even though there was a large group/party in the restaurant too the noise levels were acceptable. Would definitely return!
Sophie was great. Food was great value and the venue was perfect
Perfect place for a great dinner. Delicious food and a great atmosphere
Sitting near kitchen meant repeated noisy cluttering of plates. In future would ask to sit somewhere else
The food was v disappointing. Our burgers (normally really big and juicy but are now thin and suspiciously uniformed) were bone dry, the blue cheese in mine was dog ends and not melted. My friends duck salad starter was so tiny we both burst out laughing when I was put down. They took it back when I pointed it out. We then heard the chef swearing and moaning about it. The puddings were good though.
Amazing atmosphere! A* service. Sunday roast pork belly was delicious.
The Sunday roast (I had the pork belly) waa delicious! The Yorkshire pudding was the size of a small watermelon and the service was decent. I'll definitely go back!
Great night - good table near the open front on a hot night. Food drink and service all perfect.
10/10 for food, really nice restaurant and drinks were tasty
Nice place. Good service in the end. A bit slow to start.
We had good service, nice food and the atmosphere was relaxed
Nice local pub for a Sunday roast. Make sure you book, very popular.
Best Sunday roast in Clapham!! Great service and great food.
Very tasty food (Fish& Chips), friendly service, cozy atmosphere, ideal place to introduce guests from overseas to a traditional English gastro-pub
Bottomless brunch was VERY regimented. There was no particular limit on what we could have, yet a fairly forceful waitress cane out of her way to tell us we’d had our fill. It was pretty bizarre and she was really quite rude.
As always a great evening. The food, atmosphere and staff were excellent
Good food, fast service, very cosy pub. Would definitely recommend for a Sunday roast.
Good food at a good price in a good pub.
Absolutely delightful. Had a banging bit of roast pork with all the trimmings. The staff were wonderful and they allow fur babies too. Big smiles all round :)
We had a lovely table overlooking Abbeville Road. Although the football match was on, we were not disturbed or overwhelmed by it. We had shared dishes with our cocktails before moving on to our mains with a bottle of wine. The food was delicious. The servers were very attentive and patience. We had a good night.
Very nice evening at the Abbeville Pub. Nice food and wine. Service very friendly. Will def come back
I love The Abbeville , it’s friendly , busy and very good food . The best thing is though that there are always the most beautiful and friendly dogs , it gives it A real family feel. Thanks to everybody
Very Nice roast, felt the service could have been faster
Delicious food and service good but it was all somewhat hurried and rushed out at the end . I’d rather they charged slightly more so it was more leisurely.
Great roasts and huge portions but quite noisy. Friendly staff.
Fab food and service, will definitely return. Cosy and friendly atmosphere.
It was great! All staff very attentive! Good evening for all!
Great -- and thanks for the very generous neighbour offer
Very good, nice food, great service etc etc etc etc
Great atmosphere attentive staff lovely food . Very good value for London!
Service excellent Food very good, particularly The Roast Definitely worth a visit
Our favourite Sunday night roast spot - potatoes not as good as usual, and a side was forgotten - plus a bit of a wait for our table - but we can forgive them!
👍🏼 Great as always. Service was on point too. 👍🏼
Nice food and wine Good service and atmosphere Bit too cold sat by the window

Had looked forward to seeing the newly refurbished Abbeville, which was underwhelming. A few changes were good - the middle section is now more appealing - but large sections still looked a bit tired. We had Sunday roasts (beef) and both were very disappointing - wafer thin beef, stale roast potatoes, cold yorkshire pud. All really tasteless. Such a shame as had hoped the kitchen would have improved. There are far better options now on Abbeville road.
Poor quality roast and intermittent service. Worst potatoes I’ve been served.
We visited for the first time with a pushchair and forgot to mention it beforehand but the staff were extremely accommodating and very helpful. It is definitely worth mentioning beforehand though because the layout, with lots of steps and levels, is not the easiest to negotiators with pushchairs.
