As always great food in a great atmosphere! The lamb that had been cooked for 7 hours was to die for! Our waiter was very attentive and friendly.

Great Sunday lunch, the meat was delicious, a little disappointed to have to pay extra for the Yorkshire pudding with the belly pork. Staff were absolutely lovely and perfectly attentive

Great service and food as always - the beef and ale pie (one of the specials) was delicious - I noticed it had sold out by 7.45pm so suspect some diners missed out..........

Excellent meal from great menu choices. Good wine selection. Both food and drink at reasonable prices. We went on New Year's Eve and had a great night. Staff were very helpful.

A great Sunday lunch venue, always feel relaxed and not under pressure to get in, eat and get out like some places. Food is always good quality....although would like more parsnips with my roast!

Sunday Roast -Not yet in my top five for roasts in south London -not far off though: reasonable job, pleasant staff, £14 all trimmings which is a lot of money so e.g. thought the apple puree (not sauce) at bottom of bowl disappeared and was a tad stingy on portion- flavour blended into gravy so a bit pointless and disappointing. Why my partner prefers plates not wide bowls, which was his niggle, everything gravitates downwards into one mess- thankfully no boards lol) To be picky - offer horseradish or mustard for beef eaters please rather than customer has to chase the busy staff as they pass by. Good marks for Yorkshire pud and the roast pots though a bit generically salty it had a 'herby' outside which worked well. It's a very popular, in a good area, local so always book! Children and dog friendly.

Great food, helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere. Managed to book a table online which worked perfectly and had a very tasty Sunday lunch - beef was perfectly good, not overdone in any way, friend's pork belly looked delicious. Will definitely be back for more!

Really lovely staff and great food. The atmosphere was excellent- they did show the rugby in the restaurant as well as the bar which wasn't ideal for an evening meal but otherwise excellent.

Great food, good atmosphere, one waiter was quite grumpy but that's all :-) Would be an ideal spot to watch some Rugby or have a quiet meal out back.

My first time at The Aberville. we had the beef and pork roasts. I had no complaints but my partner thought that three smallish roast potatoes were a little on the light side for him. Also his sticky toffee pudding was more a dry sponge cake with caramel sauce and ice cream.

The Abbeville still has one of the best burgers in Clapham, served by the usual friendly staff.

Really great pub food. We have tried most pubs in Clapham North South and Common and rate this best in the Clapham in our opinion.

The service was friendly and efficient as always. As a non-fish eater I do sometimes struggle with main course choices on the menu and it would be really nice to see a chicken dish on there too. Overall I really enjoyed my food and experience and would recommend it.

We've been coming to this neighbourhood restaurant for a number of years now. Friday was a bit of a special occasion, catching up with old friends. Excellent service as usual and very good food. Can't fault it.

I had the rump steak with Parmesan truffle oil fries and my friend had the lamb with Dauphinoise potatoes. I asked for the steak to be medium rate and it arrived medium at best. The piece of meat wasn't great either however the peppercorn sauce was amazing. The portion of lamb was very small - the side of Dauphinoise potatoes dwarfing the lamb. Service on the whole was quite slow too.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. A varied menu of fairly standard stuff, but well prepared and served by very friendly waitresses. Always full, so a buzzy atmosphere. My only caveat is that if you are unlucky you may encounter a table of shrieking women.

I don't go here enough - they are very friendly and welcoming, and the menu always looks appetising. However, the lunch menu is a little sparse and limited, and as I don't eat wheat, I was somewhat narrowed in my choices. I went for what sounded like a lovely light and fresh options, prawn and crayfish salad with grilled baby gem and grapefruit. When it turned up, it didn't look or feel like a restaurant dish - just a load of cold small prawns arranged over some leaves and fruit segments with a couple of dollops of lemon mayo. I'd probably been expecting much juicier prawns or at least something that looked like it hadn't just come straight out of the packet from Lidl! My companion had the charred salmon and that was lovely, with an attractive-looking mixed leaf base. We shared garlic greens, a pretty small portion for the price. I had a 50% off voucher for food, so when then bill came, I didn't feel so bad, but at full price, I'd have felt short-changed. The place was almost empty, so they were fast and friendly, happy to welcome my dog as well, and we had plenty choice about where to sit. I know the food here is usually excellent and I'm booked in for dinner next week, when the menu is MUCH more wide-ranging and appetising. maybe just my bad choice of limited options on this occasion, but it's worth noting that most people want to eat out for something they wouldn't normally make at home and for lovely presentation - those prawns might need to up their game ;)

We arrived with a baby in a pram, and unfortunately we were seated in the upstairs area. Even though there were tables downstairs, we were told we couldn't move. One diner ordered a medium rare steak, and it was served blue and cold. Upon returning it, she had to wait 20 minutes for a new one to be delivered.

Good service and dinner as usual. The only things to avoid are tables between the kitchen counter and the loos. There is often an unpleasant smell in the air. Otherwise great.

Nice food, good service. Just that the food was a little cold on arrival at the table. I'd recommend the steak, it was very good but the truffle fries had quite a strong flavour which I liked but i know wouldn't be to everyone's taste.

Food was great as usual but service not as friendly as it generally is here. Pity as the restaurant was quiet so the waiting staff weren't rushed, however it was still decent and I'll be returning.

Very pleasantly surprised by the Abbeville, we had great food at a very reasonable price point. We were seated quickly and looked after very well by the waiting team. My mother enjoyed it, which is a glowing recommendation. We will definitely go back!

We had an amazing Sunday roast! Which was at a really reasonable price, amazing Yorkshire pudding. Lovely little pub, nice casual atmosphere, really good service. I'll definitely be going back and recommending it to friends. Only tiiiiiny thing...the football was on so men were being a little noisy in the bar area!
