Great food. Good service and cosy atmosphere. Just what we wanted for our Sunday roast! Would definitely recommend going to The Abbeville, I will definitely be visiting again!
Excellent food, portion sizes really generous and brilliant value for money. Staff could work on friendliness but overall a really good experience and an excellent lunch.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Highly recommend. The roast is one of the best in the area and the staff very attentive. Cosy feel. As it is quite small I would recommend booking in advance
Food is amazing, just a nice atmosphere and the staff are super friendly! I had the pork belly roast and it was the best roast I have had in London
Great place to go for a dinner or some drinks, cosy and warm place, with a great menu, good service and just a few minutes from tube
Nice restaurant, you can bring your dog which is great, the staff are helpful, food is good (although my portion for pasta was huge!) A good sunday roast place to take friends or family
was bloody lovely - virgin mary - bottle of red - roast dinner - you cannot go wrong also Spurs won 2 zip - thanks for a great experience
Went for a roast dinner, excellent quality and presentation, the pork was fantastic. Good, prompt service on a busy afternoon. Could possibly have had a little more vegetables but all four of us still left super full.
Went for a Sunday roast and the food was delicious!
Good food and great selection of specials. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The place itself is located in a lovely street with many bars so there are plenty of options to move on if you wanted.
Always delicious, daily specials that never fail to make choosing hard. Attentive staff and lovely atmosphere with open fire Bargain using taste card Mon- Fri
It's a truly Splendid roast! The best in the south london area without a shadow. Get there ASAP without hesitation. Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum, Yum......
A fantastic experience yet again, friendly and knowledgable staff, a delicious roast and the pigs cheek starter was amazing! This is such a gem of a pub!
Took family (2 adults and 3 kids of 15, 14, 11). Food is fantastic - Sunday roast for some and kids menu and burgers for others. Food was hot, quick to arrive and very delicious. Deserts are very tempting too. Service is great - they are attentive and helpful. We go every few months for a Sunday meal rather the cook and wash up at home and it never disappoints.
Just had a catch up with old friends. Good food, nice service, reasonably priced and dog friendly. Perfect for Sunday lunch. Would go back there.
Nice atmosphere but disappointing food, with my medium rare steak being well done and with very little taste, one of my companions also with very little 'taste' to her Cajunchicken salad. Go for a drink - miss dinner.
Second time here, very good service, Excellent burger and well cooked. My wife had the sea bass which she said was also excellent. Summer fruit crumble very tasty, crumble could have done with a bit more butter in as was too loose but only my opinion. Timothy Taylor Landlord bitter very good.Would recommend & visit again when visiting Clapham.
The food was delicious and the staff were pleasant. It was one of the best Sunday roasts I have had in London. I will definitely return
Good location and menu options however food was a little disappointing on this visit. Gazpacho not fresh tomatoes and mains very large but lacking in intensity. Good drinks selection and service.
Great atmosphere, good food and service. Very nice local pub, warm and cosy, perfect for a nice dinner out with friends. Have been coming for years and never been disappointed !
Lovely happy.atmosphere. excellent food and friendly service. The roast beef was like silk and my dessert of raspberry and vanilla cheesecake was delicious. Cheese board was impressive.
We had a great meal. Extensive menu, well executed dishes, good selection of drinks, everything fairly priced. Friendly staff and dog friendly too... Highly recommend
We really enjoyed our time at the Abbeville. The food was Excellent, the atmosphere was really pleasant. We will come back again and again ...
Always a lovely time in this pub. The food is good and the service very friendly. It is a little dark out the back which is a shame on a nice summers day but that's our fault for choosing to spend it in a pub and not outside! Would definitely recommend eating here.
A good pub with neighbourhood feel. Food is overall good with huge portions, particularly the beer battered hake. Good service with staff being attentive and relaxed.
Great food and and an even better dessert! Really recommend and it's great that is so close to where I live. Thank you very much
Great as always. Lovely staff, lovely rose, lovely steak. Service is always great. It's a fabulous pub which is very popular with locals like me
I love the Abbeville. I have been living in and around Clapham for 6 years now and this place still remains one of my favourite spots for a Sunday roast. The service is always perfect. The right level of attentiveness without feeling like are being pressured into rushing through your lunch sitting. I had the roast beef and it was to die for. My parents were with us today too and they are very picky when it comes to a roast. They both loved it too which is high praise indeed. See you next time Abbeville.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. The roasts were all excellent. Service was attentive and helpful. The bloody marys were also very good.
Great service and food. Beef Sunday roast huge. Had a double starter as didn't want a roast and this was no trouble for them. Recommend to try
Excellent food and a very busy Sunday met with a smile from the lad serving us. Top service. Will be back for a pint very soon!
A little noisy and the food was alright, it wasn't as good as it used to be. I am not a vegetarian but had a vegetarian dish and it was fairly awful. There was, what tasted like, stilton or blue cheese in the pumpkin dish which make is taste so strong that it was hard to eat it.
We went to the Abbeville for a Sunday roast and even though not all the menu options were available we really enjoyed our visit there. Great atmosphere, friendly service and delicious food.
Great food and great atmosphere. Good selection to cater for all people. Roast Sunday dinner one of the best. Sticky toffee pudding was too notch. Definitely recommend!
Excellent food. We were seated at a nice big table in front of the screen to watch the game. Staff were very friendly but we did have to ask several times for the screen to be turned on. Otherwise perfect experience.
Love the Abbeville. Great food, wine and service. Music low key and comfortable warm feel to the different levels and corners. Real ale also available - it's called a pub but really it's a restaurant and a damn good one.
Really nice food and good staff who were really accomodating. Live sport is shown but not at a volume that ruins a quiet meal - the sound is just in the main bar area. There was a bit of a strange smell in there but it wasn't too off putting, we'll definitely be back.
Excellent food at this lovely family pub. We will return very soon. Good beer selection as well and friendly staff. Overall a great place to eat and drink.
Too quality pub food. Staff very attentive. The abbeville never fails to deliver for us. We had a mussels starter to share for only £7 and there was plenty - highly recommend
Good food and very nice staff. Happy to have this as a local
We had a lovely dinner. Very nice staff and atmosphere!
This is the second time I've been to The Abbeville recently. My partner and I strolled in on spec and were loved the food, the service and the general ambiance. I then booked to go with my Mum. Again, a real treat. Mum said her fish and chips were fantastic - light batter, crisp chips and good quality fish. I went for steak the first time and pork the second. Both were very substantial portions, perfectly cooked and charmingly presented, with lots of well cooked veg. Yum!
Really nice, fast attentive service and good food. Got there at 12:30 for Sunday lunch. Fairly reasonable prices for London and would recommend to friends.
Really nice food , efficient and good service. Staff were in the ball , professional & on it. You can see the kitchen & it looks well run and products by good food. Table of five , all ages & all very happy. At last a good roast potatoe - where most local restaurants & pubs have failed recently on that front . A lovely Sunday roast x
The table was ready early, the food was great as always as was the bloody mary to start. Service was attentive but not intrusive, All with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
We turned up early and they managed to get us seated. The food was really good, I would recommend it to anyone. I will definitely be coming back
Lovely food and excellent service!! a generous portion of fish and chips, rump steak and beef roasts were ordered. Everybody was satisfied with their meals. And a perfect kids menu!!
Really lovely pub with an fantastic feel to it and very friendly, professional staff. Good wine list and in general the food was great - I did have lentils with poached salmon and unfortunately the lentils were extremely salty. Otherwise a fantastic meal.
Roast was cold and over cooked at 1pm. Both my chicken and my partners pork. Disappointing as it has previously been my favourite place for Sunday roast
Nice meal, big portions and excellent atmosphere. Shared ribs to start, main meals were crab cakes and steak and ale pie and finished with banoffe pie. Nice bottle of wine including tip £72 all together. Good value and very tasty.
