Good experience, good Sunday roast. Good service. Only slight issue is limited starter menu. Only minor gripe. Good atmosphere too. Twenty one, twenty three. Complete.
Very good food and drink options. Front of house very friendly but slow service - had to go ask for menus and the bill. Useful able to use tastecard.
A lovely experience. The food was delicious and priced reasonably (perhaps the starters were a bit expensive!) otherwise really enjoyed. Great service, will visit again.
Friendly helpful service; great food Vegetarian Roast was best ever ! according to my wife, Roast Beef was tasty huge Yorkshire Puds went down well. Nice place; I would recommend you visit.
Had to order to sets of meals Mother’s Day meal might I add both meals were crap ordered a beef roast dinner and my mum ordered chicken both were hard as rock then asked if u would like to change my order so I order a burger instead when it comes it’s soaked in greese so no food in the end and the cheak to still charge us for the meal when my brother was the only one who managed to eat anything at all avoide at all costs over priced bollox
Always good even when they're really busy (which they were today with an enormous table who we sadly ordered after) still wasn't rushed and friendly waitress.
Friendly staff, always very consistent and we have never had a bad meal here. The pies are a real standout as is the Sunday roast.
Good food, however staff weren’t attentive and we had to ask to order and added extra drinks to bill. However fixed it without a problems. Atmosphere good.
Great lunch. The roast beef was cooked to perfection and the Yorkshire pudding was the size of my head and all served in lovely surroundings.
Great food as usual but service appears to be getting worse and worse each time. Staff don’t acknowledge you when you arrive, drinks took far too long, starter arrived at same time as main, the list goes on!
The restaurant is dark and cramped with very little space between the tables. The vegetarian food is bland, tasteless and shows little or no imagination in the choice of ingredients. However the staff are friendly.
The friendly pub has a great community feel. The Sunday roast are very good and they do a nice Yorkshire pudding. Also, the bartender makes a very good Old Fashioned
Food was good, but atmosphere spoilt by there being a TV playing football that was visible and audible from the part of the restaurant we were seated in. Not good when you went there on Valentine's Day!!! And there was nowhere else for us to move to. Management should only have had the TV playing in the drinking only part of the venue.
Service to the table (before during and after the meal) could have been a lot better - often felt ignored/overlooked by the wait staff and had to ask each time to order, for dessert, for the bill etc - they didn’t once come over proactively and we were often waiting a long time for service. Otherwise - great for a roast.
Another lovely evening at my local pub/restaurant. Upstairs with a view over Abbeville Road and the Abbeville’s wood panelled warren of rooms. My friend had the French beef stew with mash and broccoli-she loved it and I had the burger with chorizo. Excellent.
Excellent food and service. Not been there for 25 years. Great steaks, and good wine. Service with a smile and nice atmosphere. Will be back sooner !
It had a decent roast, more variety on the menu would be better. Was a fair enough price especially for London. What was even better was that they allow dogs
Fun night with very good food and service although slightly slow always with a smile! Nice mezzanine spot and buzzing atmosphere. Their desserts are brilliant
Love this place! Busy at the bar but perfectly spaced tables in the dining area. Great food of good portions and value, the specials board is always pretty extensive. Would definitely recommend and return soon.
Waited for over hour for our food and were eventually told that the order had never been processed. We asked 3 separate members of staff who all told us different stories. We have been once before and waited 45mins for average food and thought we would give it another try due to rave reviews. Certainly last time we go back.
The food was very good, and the service was friendly, but on the night we went, everything took ages. It took a long time to take our order, bring our drinks, bring our starters, and the mains, and finally the bill.
We visited the Abbeville for dinner and had an absolutely wonderful evening - the food was really delicious ( as always!) and the staff were really friendly and provided a great service.
We know this restaurant of old. It is consistently good. Service excellent. I can't find any more words to describe it. We are locals so useful venue.
Great night out at the Abbeyville Pub. Good atmosphere and very kid friendly (they also loved patting the doggies!). The food was really good, a cut above most pubs
Saturday lunch. Waited an hour to be served. Walked out. We were not the only ones to walk out. It is a pity that the Abbeville apparently no longer care.
We love the Abbeville. Fantastic service, delicious food and able to cater to all sizes. We have been there over the years as a couple, with a big group and now our 6 month old son. Highly recommend.
Great accommodation of food allergies and portions! Atmosphere good try to get at front of pub though near windows as this is the best area.
G R E A T ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Food ok but service awful. Main course brought before starter taken away and we were just told to make room for it. Generally grumpy staff- has the feeling of an unhappy place.
Good pub atmosphere, the food was very good and the service very quick. Note that the clientele is very family orientated which might not suit everyone.
Great food and friendly staff in a lovely environment. A gluten and nut free dessert (other than ice cream) would have been appreciated but that's pretty niche!
This is a tried and tested restaurant for us. The god and the service are always constantly good. We had a charcuterie board to start with, followed by the excellent burger.
Really Christmassy and great food. The service was good and we didn’t have to wait too long for all of the courses even though it was really busy. Overall I’d recommend and go back.
Delicious food, great service, good value. I had lunch with two friends, we shared a mix of starters, mains and desserts and everything was outstanding. Love the Abbeville, would highly recommend for a cosy pub lunch or dinner.
Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere inside. Waitress was a little too attentive if anything but better than being ignored. Pigeon Wellington was particularly good.
The food here is ok but not exceptional, given the pretty steep price. Staff are lovely, as is the decor/atmosphere. There’s s good variety to choose from on the menu.
It is a very cute pub with great food, especially try their Sunday roast. Service can be a hit and miss depending on how busy they are.
As per usual with the Abbeville - Good food and great value for money, dog friendly environment. So stuffed we couldn’t manage dessert, pigeon Wellington was a highlight.
Excellent food, service and wine. They tailored their menu brilliantly for a vegan and it was no problem to keep checking that everything was vegan friendly.
Great food and service. The Sunday Roast was plentiful and extremely tasty, good range of drinks along with an eclectic menu. Staff were prompt and friendly - highly recommend!
Always an absolute pleasure coming here for lunch and dinner. Hoping to come here again today .
The food was below average and the pub smelt like a toilet. The service was good but it doesn't make up for the food. I wouldn't go back.
Another great night at the Abbeville. Fab service, delicious food, great atmosphere. Thanks!
The Abbeville is so cozy and welcoming. The Sunday roasts are some of the best in Clapham. They are always busy so you definitely need to book but it’s worth it.
Stunning roast. I love the Abbeville - one of the best pubs in SW London. Great food, wine and service. Can’t wait to go back again soon!
As ever, a great evening. I had a friend staying from out of town and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The staff are knowledgeable about allergens, accepting of my dog and the food was delicious!
Service was excellent and the Sunday lunch was delicious. I would highly recommend this pub. There was a lively atmosphere and ghe staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Really nice local pub off the main stream au Clapham. Really nice and welcoming staff! The food was also very tasty, especially the lamb shank! Would recommend it and go back without any doubt!
Giant Yorkie, loads of food on the plate - and actually came with roasted roast potatoes. Some imperfections such as one of the meals having some greaseproof paper on, and it wasn't easy to get the attention of very busy staff members.
Really great food and a very cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and polite, but service the last time we were there seemed a little chaotic - it's always been great before.
