Great food. Youngest kids would have appreciated some pencils and paper to draw with, though there was a toy corner for them to play in.
Friendly server , good value for money. Handy for some food after a hospital visit . We had the haggis starter which was a very good portion , the fish was fresh and tasty . No room for a pudding ..
Very friendly, great atmosphere and enjoyable food. Would gladly recommend to friends and family . Great value for money. This is the third time I have been to the Telford Arms and would definitely go back . Parking available .
I was literally the only customer there at 7pm for dinner. I wanted the haggis but they said it would take a long time to cook the turnips. I opted for, the “dish they are famous for”, the fish and chips. The fish was delicate but flavorless. The pile of green peas tasted like green peas and nothing else. The chips were not special in any way. The tarter sauce on the side did not taste anything like tarter sauce and actually didn’t taste like anything at all. It was so bland that I’m not even sure what it was made of, maybe recycled paper pulp with a very slight hint of blue cheese neither of which is an ingredient in tarter sauce.
The environment of the restaurant was good and clean with good to see traditional food. Very good staff and attention to detail with the food.
