Good evening, the food was excellent and being a Monday it was nice and quiet
Food was lovely but service wasn’t the best and there was a lot of noise from the main road due to all the windows and doors being open.
Amazing food and service only criticism could of been larger portions as taste so good.
Great food in a lovely, relaxed and friendly environment. We had a wheelchair and they made us very comfortable. The food really is great here, we love it!
Fantastic place with lovely staff and the food was brilliant
excellent food and service. I do not like background music and my request to turn it down was met quickly . There was little atmosphere because there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant which is a shame as the venue is very nice. We will return
Food was ok, but nothing more than average. Beef was good. Pork was pretty chewy and inedible in parts. Our experience was disappointing as we were seated in the garden room which became incredibly hot and unpleasant to eat in. We had children and my nan, 92 years old, with us. Not ideal. On our second request, we were thankfully moved to a cooler room to have our coffee. My first request resulted by a seemingly unconcerned lady behind the bar suggesting that they could set up a air con and opened the doors so you could listen to the sound of agricultural traffic whistle by. A shame as there we plenty of empty tables. Considering the wealth of great dining experiences in the area, we shall not be returning.
First visit and definitely on our list to go back
food was ok/good, bar service was not and seemed disorganised we were asked 3 times for our drinks order bar man didn't know complete wine list, waitress didn't know whether or not you had one, you didn't! We have had better service on a previous visit. our most recent booking earlier this year was cancelled by you at very short notice power failure but you did help us get another booking at Windmill Wymeswold for same evening.
Lovely surroundings. Had the seabass only one filllet cut in half, no rice or other vegetables. Dish was expensive & food portion was very small. Left hungry. Never left a restaurant hungry in my life.
Great food and excellent value but some choices were little short on any carbs so maybe include in descriptions as hard to tell.
Slow service and waitressing. Table staff seemed immature and not attentive. Food good, nice pub decor and atmosphere.
Lovely time as always. Service great and food delicious. Pie was a little small but tasty nevertheless.
Lovely 2 course lunch in the garden with extra special Pimms and lemonade. Great service, see you again soon.
Really nice food and excellent service, will definitely be back
Warm welcome, great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Will definitely return.
Service was good. Food was very bland. Burger needed more seasoning and flavour.
Was lovely atmosphere and food was lovely, I had the same dish a few nights ago and this time it was slightly disappointing as the skin on the fish was not crispy as last time and the fry’s were different. Maybe a different chef but still good.
Fish was quite soggy and the burger was over cooked.
What a gem this pub is, it has had a beautiful refurbishment, has enthusiastic, friendly staff and serve very well prepared food at a reasonable cost. We will be back!
Wonderful food, attentative staff, lovely setting. Really good experience. Would recommend.
Had a really lovely lunch for my husbands birthday, great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff, amazing food and kids portions were huge! Will definitely return
Lovely pub. Great friendly staff and food. Would thoroughly recommend.
Excellent food. Great value for money.Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff
Lovely setting and good Sunday dinner - will definitely go again
A common theme today is that staff do not serve female guests before male guests. I guess times have changed but this was always considered To be the correct etiquette to follow. Staff were friendly enough and the food was nice though not very warm.
Overall this was a wonderful meal for the family. The staff were excellent. The pub was very busy and service was ok despite this. The staff obviously care about there work and were very friendly and helpful. The food although not the cheapest was very very good and as such was very good value for money. The sea bass was gorgeous. We all enjoyed our meals and we will be going back.
We had a very enjoyable experience, celebrating a birthday with family , relaxing atmosphere ,delicious food, and excellent service.
Lovely menu and food was well and freshly cooked. Service was a bit slow
Pleasant bistro style pub food , attentive staff , quick service slightly noisy in the conservatory over all good
The staff are very warm and welcoming the atmosphere and decor first class but food not as good as our previous visit still overall a good experience
Our first visit but definitely not our last. We’ve booked for the tapas night. Lovely place to eat. The only area that needs serious improvement is the parking. Car park is much too small for the popularity of the location. Really friendly & knowledgable staff.
The staff were lovely and the food was amazing the only downfall was a member of our party was soaked through to her knickers after a bar maid knocked the tonic all over her skirt .They did apologise and at the end I did ask if they were going to pay for the dry cleaning and they did take 10 percent off the bill but a very uncomfortable night for the lady in our party but accidents do happen apart from that a great evening .
We had lovely food and the atmosphere was very friendly
Lovely food, good portions, friendly staff and service, and reasonably priced.
Very friendly staff, food was excellent, good selection of beers.
Very disappointed. Have been to their sister pub, the Three Crowns, which we have enjoyed - so expected great things. No wine list available so no prices, advertising 2 4 1 cocktails with no prices. Menu not as good as expected. I had the Seabass dish which in my opinion was over cooked and the skin burnt in places. The Malaysian curry was not what I expected no heat to it rather runny. It definitely needed some more veg ( wasn't warned ) and perhaps a little rice. The chicken Supreme was better but the pickled morels were disgusting. Something else on the plate had a nasty taste. The next table sent back their pie ( which would have been my next choice ) I feel quite let down as we were looking forward to trying out the pub. Next time we will not drive past the Three Crowns.
Great place , great staff, great food . Thank you
This was our first visit and we were well impressed with the total experience
Great place, lovely staff and good food! Look forward to returning
Great Food, Great Service. See you again very soon. 👍
My lunchtime party of 5 sat in the conservatory and it became uncomfortably warm even after opening a few windows. In fact towards the end of lunch one of my friends felt a little unwell so we moved to the bar. Would suggest a fan might be required in this room on warm days. The service was good although each course was a little slow but we were in no rush. The food was good but not as good as we have received on many previous occasions but the 2 and 3 course deal is great value but fairly limited choice with the same dishes from a previous visit a couple of weeks ago. We really like the friendly staff who work hard to please
had A lovely time with the family on Father’s Day. The food was very good. The service was a little slow ? With drinks but we’ve been three times and will continually keep going.
Another fun evening with good food and service Thanks again
Very friendly and helpful staff. Food fresh and delicious. Will return!
Good is lovely, a little expensive though, but we enjoyed the meal
We had a fabulous time for our son's fortieth birthday. The food was excellent, service was brilliant. Looking forward to going again in July. (Sadly, did not get my 10% off voucher.)
Really good food, great venue and excellent service. Really enjoyed it.
Good quality food friendly staff great atmosphere will be back
Adequate menu choices. Good food, and well presented. Average service
