The food was exceptional and the table service was very efficient. The only thing that let down the whole experience was the slow bar service when we first arrived (not enough bar staff in my opinion). If that had been better, full marks would have been awarded.
Really lovely food, we pre-ordered our food which was great as having only limited time on lunch hour. Food was ready shortly after we arrived which left us plenty of time to enjoy.
Service and food wait abit slow considering restaurant wasn't full.....Not much choice on the Sunday menu, I had beef which was abit chewy, the veg abit too al 'dente for me......Have been here before and really enjoyed the food but was abit disappointed this time...
Excellent Easter Sunday lunch. Very attentive service and pleasant professional staff. Thanks we will be back. Have been to Swan and Talbot previously when visiting Wetherby and thoroughly enjoyed our lunches.
Lovely food and the young lady serving us was fab and bonus that we could park in pubs own car park without worrying how long we took over lunch and our catch up!
Thursday 24 March 2016. Food was a long time coming. When we left we discovered they had colouring etc for the children, but this was not brought to our attention so we could keep our two grandchildren amused during the long wait for the food. Most of the food was good/very good except the sausage and mash. The sausages were inedible - cooked/re-cooked so the outside was hard and tough. Did complain and they gave us £1.99 off the bill. This pub used to serve loads of vegetables with the meals; now we had to pay extra for veg for two of the meals (including the sausage and mash). Altogether a disappointing experience marginally alleviated by the bill reduction.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere, what more could you want! Well a very nice 25% off the bill made for an excellent night out with good friends.
The food, drink & service were all very good; the only downside was the tills were playing up & you couldn't see an itemised bill.
Great food, very tasty, and good service from pleasant, friendly staff. Good menu options, plenty to choose from. Nice presentation. Chunky chips are absolutely delicious!
Great food good beer lovely pub you got to have the all most famous pie we had a great time no rush just relaxed time
Had a long wait from ordering to our starters coming but the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Lovely pub and tables spaced out well so you don't feel crammed in.
Mother's Day meal out with the family. As always, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, nice beers, good food! I never have any complaints in the Sawn and Talbot.
Well cooked and enjoyable meal. Pie was delicious especially with the well made mash. Black cherry frangipan tart was brilliant. We will be visiting again.
Lovely food, all arrived on time as we had pre-ordered due to limited time on a lunch time. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Food very reasonable in price.
Superb food, service just a bit on the slow side though. Friendly and informal atmosphere. We had a lovely evening and I would certainly recommend.
Certainly wont be going again!! Service was very slow and they were not that busy, no vegetables on two of the main meals re poor value for money, one course the sausages was 3 of them and mash in a bowl!!!! for £10 you have to be joking, The stuffed pork was good but no veg just potato and 3 pieces of stuffed pork for £14!!! poor value again. Each time we had to ask for service and if we had not asked for the bill at the same time as we ordered coffee we would i am sure still be there!!! the two steak pies were good, credit where its due.
Lovely food and excellent service. Staff very friendly and professional. Fantastic any time and day of the week. Good atmosphere and environment. Traditional pub with beer garden.
Easy to book on line, & all four of us really enjoyed our lunch.steak pie( huge) pork loin stuffed, sausage ' chips. Would definitely return & recommend.
The surroundings were extremely pleasant and we were warmly greeted when we arrived. The food was excellent and the service very efficient and courteous. All our party of 4 enjoyed the experience and would look forward to dining again at the Swan & Talbot very soon.
Very welcoming, organised and well positioned for a family get together. Excellent service with a varied menu to suit all tastes. Would recommend to all age groups.
First visit to this pub good food nice atmosphere intended to have xmas dinner but has to be booked in advance. Bit disappointed but enjoyed the evening will go again.
Excellent food and value for money. Staff were attentive while the surroundings were welcoming on a very cold evening. One or two dishes were off the menu which limited our starter choice.
Great food and friendly service. I ordered the Sea Bass which was delicious.
The food delicious, the service could be better. I have been twice now, and have thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service not too good. First time was not offered the dessert menu or if we would like tea or coffee, too busy with the quiz! The second time asked for the bill and the young man went off and started pulling pints. Had to ask again.
The room was nice but had creaky floors the evening meal was average the breakfast was ok the staff were very nice and good ale on pump
I first visited a couple of weeks ago and had an outstanding experience. Fantastic food and service. Tonight was not up to scratch I'm afraid. My brother had to send back his venison as the mash was out of the fridge cold and there was no jous and my meal was mediocre. The waitresses seemed more interested in gossiping with the gentlemen at the bar than serving the customers which was a shame. So overall, not bad
Always good. Decent lunch and the mother in law paid
Service slow. Rhubarb fool was not a fool, it was rhubarb with cream on top and very expensive at nearly £6. Main courses, roast beef and lamb shank good but Yorkshire Pudding not cooked.
