Great food wonderfully helpful and friendly staff Clean and bright and modern will definitely return with friends and family
Thank you for warm team. Food was great, athmosphere pleasant. We spent amazing evening with my husband for his bday.
Excellent food, service, ambiance and all round value for money?
Read good reviews about this restaurant and certainly wasn't disappointed. Lots of choice backed up with great food and friendly service. Would definitely recommend
No highchair never been to a restaurant that doesn’t have them for this reason wouldn’t return. We found the food ok & service average.
Great choice of food, very tasty. Staff were very friendly.
A group of 12 of us ate at the Spicy Tadka on thurs 11th Jan '24. this was pre-booked and agreed that each couple could have a separate tab for making payment. This was then changed to each couple paying at the time of ordering. Which was fine, but confusing to arrange with the language barrier. We ordered poppadoms and they were clearly not freshly made. The chutneys were really odd and like nothing we have had an an indian restaurant before. A mint sauce, a chilli 'something' we thought maybe beetroot and a paste that we 'think' was mango chutney. Only 2 of these 3 tiny pots were served for 12 of us. Actually, we didn't like them, so that was fine, but on first arrival, we though this was stingy. A few of us had the onion bhaji's as starters. They were clearly not freshly cooked. Hard, dry and luke warm. no side salad which is also unusual and made the presentation just 2 balls of onion look odd. I asked for Chicken Rhogan Josh. When it was served I was told that's what I was given. So I put it onto my mushroom rice, took a spoonful and it nearly blew my head off! my eyes were watering and my cheeks went pink. Everyone found that very amusing. Then we realised that I had been given my partners Chicken Naga! so we swapped plates. I ended up with his bland and bright yellow Pilau Rice and the runniest Rhogan Josh ever. No tomatoes or onion identifiable. 3 tiny pieces of chicken. My partner said his was nothing like a naga either. Just a very hot and runny curry. As soon as we got home my partner said he didn't feel well. He has now been up all night sick, sweating and with a very upset tummy. So all in all, a dreadful meal! we won't be going back there.
First time we've ever been, the naan bread was the best we've ever had, our curries were amazing, so tasty and the staff were lovely. 10/10 😄
service was slow dishes not as nice as previous visits
Great food, friendly attentive staff. Would go back there soon. Thanks
If you like Indian food, you'll live it here. Visit!
We made an early booking, as we were going to the theatre. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, and lots of it. We will definitely go again and spend more time there.
Really disappointed with the quality of food in view of the awards this restaurant has, plus service was slow and not particularly friendly or welcoming. Won't be going back.
Great food, really tasty. The main let-down was the amount of pickles/sauces provided with the poppadoms...for 4 healthy-appetite blokes, the 3 little pots of sauce were way-too small. Otherwise, fabulous place.
The food was really nice, but the length of time to get our food was very long, it was hard to get staff's attention and our starters were brought out at different times. One of the starters was missing so after waiting ages we managed to get someone to bring one out to us, but we were then charged extra for that starter. It was rectified eventually, but the service needs to be raised to be in line with the lovely food.
All very nice. A bit tight for space. Only thing that needs looking at, their chose of wine. Their Tempranillo was dreadful.
Delicious food and friendly staff. We would go again. Thanks
Friendly, efficient, great food customised to our liking. Overall excellent!
We've been here before, but there is now a revised menu. There was helpful advice from the staff. We really enjoyed our choices which were served with a friendly smile and prompt service
Lovely food and great service too, staff were very pleasant and chatty too
Very good 👍 👏 👌 😀 ☺️ 🙌 nice 👌
Excellent food, excellent service and a good price. Went for the Diwali buffet so eat as much as you like for a set price. Tried food that I wouldn't normally try - some I liked, some I didn't but that's the joy of a buffet (took a tiny bit if things I didn't know and went back for more of those that I liked - can't bear waste).
Good portions but sag also a bit runny and the vindaloo not very spicy. Still enjoyable but will order something else next time.
Children were happy, it was quiet, perfect . . .
Service could not be better, very focused and wanting to please, felt they really cared about you. Excellent variety of foods, some of which were new to us. Environment was very welcoming and relaxed and not noisy. Will definitely visit again.
Great service and superb food - enjoyed so much, we’ve booked again the week after!!

Lovely food and lots of it. We dined early evening
We had pre-booked, the table was ready when we arrived, the service was excellent and the food was mind-blowing. Would definitely recommend this.
Good quality food with a good variety and friendly service.
Excellent food and excellent service. Would highly recommend to anyone .
Arrived to be told table had been moved by 30 mins, apparently been called but received no call from restaurant. Place looked untidy and unorganised. Temp gun for Covid was present but not used once whilst we were there. Service overall was poor and we had to keep asking for missing product. One meal arrived as vegetarian when we ordered chicken, replaced with cold food. Replaced again and was okay, also not charged for inconvenience. The rest of the food was good though.
So much to choose from on the menu! Food was absolutely delicious. Service was really fast. Staff very friendly. Will be back!
This restaurant has some of the best food in Basingstoke. Prices are higher but the quality is higher then most.
Good food with good customer service with an ambient environment.
Lovely meal... Beautiful food and great service...highly recommended to all
Delicious food and really friendly staff. All the safety measures in place and still a really lovely eating out experience. Would definitely recommend!
Excellent food, staff, and service. Good precautions in place post-lockdown.
Excellent, lovely food and great service Will definitely go back again
The main meal was okay very overpriced and staff unfriendly
We arrived and were taken to our seats. Unfortunately, 2 party members couldn't come at the very last minute, therefore, we received a cancellation fee which I was not expecting. Then we had popadoms and sauces placed on our table. We assumed this was part of the Christmas menu or atleast complementary. The staff were very helpful, however, when it came to our mains, they were unaware that we had booked online for the christmas menu. Finally, they found the spreadsheet i had sent previously and food was served. We had a great time and can not fault the food, however, the surprise addition fees to our bill has unfortunately overshadowed the experience for us.
Really good food with very friendly service. Good value for money.
Excellent authentic food and friendly service. Will definitely be going back
Good food, expensive compared to other restaurants. Good service thanks.
Arrived and was seated quickly. Poppadoms x4 were ordered and when they turned up they were completely soft so ate one and sent others back. Main course wasn't that hot (tempature not spice). We didn't have time to complain as we were going to a show. When the bill arrived they hadn't taken the price of the poppadoms off until i noticed!! Definately wouldn't return.
A very enjoyable buffet lunch. Good food, value for money and friendly, attentive staff.
Best Curry Place in Basingstoke. Highly recommended. Try it out
good food at a good price. Attentive service .Nice atmosphere
Food is very good, many choices and all good, service was also good, they are warm and polite
Very pleasant evening and food was lovely. The staff were aware they were expecting some large parties in so went out of their way to make sure we had our order before they turned up. Would highly recommend it.
