Warm friendly atmosphere, we had the set meal which was very good value, each course was on time and well presented. the food was excellent and we enjoyed every course. Well worth a visit.
Went on a rugby match Saturday so very busy with queues. The service was slightly slow but understandably so. Food good although a little expensive.
Food was lovely however was definitely not worth £52, with the added £5.30 service charge! I thought that was ridiculous as there were only two of us and it did put a damper on the night, wasn’t amazing service felt like we were constantly being watched by the waiters whilst eating our food, as soon as my partner had finished the waiter took the plate and he hadn’t even stopped eating, I was still eating my food as well.
The is our go to restaurant when ever we are in Cardiff. The food was again great, piping hot and the service was quick and staff polite.
Great food, great service and friendly staff - Central location. Order taken promptly and food served quickly and was very tasty. Was in a group of four and all enjoyed the evening, food and experience.
Really good again, fourth time we have been here very busy as match day but service not bad still and quality food. A favourite in Cardiff for us. Highly recommend.
Good food, good service, with an enjoyable atmosphere well situated in the Brewery quarter which gives easy access to the city centre and all attractions.
Very friendly staff and delicious food. The staff brought out a little chocolate cake as it was my daughter's 18th birthday meal. Would have given a 6 but we had to wait quite a while for mains, which I don't mind as it was busy, but the food was cold when it arrived. Manager did offer to replace but we had already waited quite a while
Great food and good service ! Celebrated my boyfriends birthday last night and they even brought out a cake and a shot for him! Will be returning soon
An hour wait for food delivered in tiny portions with four pieces of chicken. Loud clunky canteen of a restaurant with no service levels yet they still added service charge to our bill for a table for two. Appalling.
Food was fantastic, was a little pricey but was most definitely worth it. Service was also very good. Will be coming back and recommending to others.
Staff were rude and service was little too quick, felt like they wanted us to leave which was surprising as the restaurant was quiet and we were a 5.30pm seating. Food quality was average but the cost was not.
Lovley food pleasant staff just you have to wait an awful long time for to either be seated or wait for food sometime it seems they dont no what there doing
Service was within a reasonable waiting time. Quality of the food was good. The look like of the place is quite modern with lots of items looking more like Maroc than India.
Lovely venue and the food was very tastey. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Just thought the bottle of wine abit pricey. But seems very popular so that's a Good sign.
Second visit to Spice Quarter in the Brewery Quarter of Cardiff, this time with our relatives and all four of us rated the meals as excellent. We will recommend to our friends who visit Cardiff on a regular basis.
Lovely friendly staff who were extremely helpful. The food was delicious and really good value for money. We had the early birds menu and thought maybe the portion sizes would be smaller but they weren't!! Would recommend to everyone.
Always visit here for food before attending a concert or show in Cardiff. The food is of high standard, it's clean and staff are pleasant.the potions are not large but enough.we will definitely be using again.
Spice quarter was a lovely restaurant with good food and with alot of options on the menu I was spoilt for choice. Good food and drinks.
Very nice food, and would eat there again, although the service we received with food and ordering seemed to be rushed, but left plenty of time between clearing plates and receiving the bill.
Tried this a couple of weeks ago before attending a concert and the food was good, this is our second visit and once again the food was great and staff pleasant, a little different to my normal Indian, will be definatly be booking again.
have eaten there before staff are pleasant the spice quarter is very central and easy to find food is of a high standard will use again the next time we are in Cardiff
Food was really good.service was good and we had a really good time. Would recommend the spice quarter and will be going back again soon.
first time to visit, clean and pleasant service, food was good drinks a little expensive to what we are used to paying in our local Indian but will not stop us going again.
We had a Lovely meal, good wine, and very very attentive staff. Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. I would definitely go back there again. Thanks!
Very slow service accepting this was a very busy weekend, they should have had more people working . Reduced menu selection was ok food a little lacking in quantity
Booked early evening for a pre concert dinner so restaurant was quiet but still had good service and the food was not to disappoint will be booking again.
We were both made welcome by the staff very impressed with the glass panels over the kitchen we could see the meals getting prepared. Also my wife asked for a dopiatsa and that wasn't on the menu but the chef still produced the goods we were well impressed,I had a lambert vindallo that tasted gorgeous 'we .live in Devon so when we go again to Cardiff we will ,be going back ,And also would recommend this restaurant to any body really good . .
I the decor is nice and the staff very attentive. However the food doesn't really excel. Value for money was poor for example the Tandoori mixed platter was £8 for a tiny piece chicken a small kebab 1 prawn and a lamb chops with one bite of meat on it. I wouldn't go again.
Even though restaurant was busy as it was a Friday night and night before the Wales vs England Rugby match the service was really good and the food excellent. This is the 2nd time I have been to this restaurant and would not hesitate to go back again.
Ordered from the special menu, 2 courses for £12.95 there was limited choice but plenty on offer, food came quick and was excellent, service was brilliant too, would definitely recommend this place, only down side they add a 10% service charge, I don't mind tipping but it should be my choice.
Mouth wateringly tasty food ! Our third visit every time has been superb! Great service , friendly staff and excellent presentation ! Highly recommend it!
Lovely food and great atmosphere, will definitely be back again! The Prices may look a little expensive at first glance but definitely worth every penny!
Tried this restaurant on the off chance, & would like to say that we were really impressed with the service, super fast and the food was excellent, I had lamb rogan gosh, the lamb simply fell apart & my wife had the butter chicken which was also lovely. Would definitely recommend this place. 👌🏻
Food was good, but so busy on a Saturday night that service was slow. I have been in the week and service has been much quicker
Over priced, food was bland I had the lamb Rogan josh and it tasted more like a pizza topping and all other dishes we had were poor. Even the pappadoms were horrid
excellent location, minutes from stadium and central cardifff, wonderful prompt and efficient service, great food at a fair price , what more do you want
Not all the mains are subject for promotion. Big mains are not included. Waiter are very friendly. Overall OK. Spent about 62 quid including 2 glasses of champagne and got 18 quid off.
Excellent choice of food that was extremely good, in a great setting with great service. Well situated for all of the city attractions. Will definately visit again
was really bad experience.. no food quality no taste wastage of time.. ordered different chicken dishes but all were having same taste.. means not cooked by their original recipe
One of the best places for an Indian! Amazing food!
This is a fantastic restaurant in the centre of Cardiff. It has a varied menu serving authentic Indian Food. The wine list also has Indian Wines. Great experience.
The food was very good, and the service was fine, but the portions were ridiculous. You pay for a full dish and the korma and the tikka masala were only 4 little pieces of chicken each. The amount of rice was tiny. Oh, and we ordered samosas as starter, and they were only two little samosas. Better to find another restaurant with better value.
The food was gorgeous looked lovely and tasted fantastic. But poor service. We were the only people in the whole place and were served stale popodoms (though these were replaced swiftly without any problem), we were only offered drinks once (upon arrival), we were not offered any deserts/ tea/ coffee and we had to ask for the bill. I think on balance I would go back as food was really good and lunch time menu price was very reasonable, just a real shame we were ignored.
Food service , great. Food, excellent. Drinks service, appalling...weren't exactly busy either. Still would return if I was in the vicinity of Cardiff city centre.
Lovely restaurant in a convenient location. Prices very reasonable and a good mix of spice levels and different flavours. Staff were very helpful and I would definitely go again
Nicely decorated Indian restaurant in old brewery quarter, on the first floor, just above Bistro Pierre. Food was lovely with enough spice to it. And the service was faultless. We will be back.
Pretty average food and small portions at above average prices. Plus it is £6.10 for a bottle of cobra! Plenty of other choice for food nearby. I wouldn't visit again.
