Spice Lounge Kitchen

We love the food at Spice Lounge and the friendly atmosphere and efficient staff. It's so good to have such a superb restaurant within our area and no hazel about parking.

Lovely service. Food is fabulous. Been there lots of times. Had takeaway too which was just as good. Will be back soon. Thank you Spice Lounge. Always an enjoyable yummy meal.

We all had the buffet which was very good and some of us had 'seconds' We did not have sweets or coffee because we had birthday cakes at home.

Received a warm welcome on arrival and were seated in a nice area of the restaurant. Food was delicious and will definitely be back. A bit of a delay in between the starter and main course but the restaurant was exceptionally busy so that's understandable. Highly recommend.

Have been here a lot and it was very good but the last couple of times the service was very slow and the lamb was a bit chewy so I will probably give them one more chance and if it is the same I don't think I will be back

Our meal was lovely couldn't fault it and reasonably priced too. The chicken pakora and butter chicken was delicious. We will definitely be back. All in all an excellent meal.

The food as always was very tasty and well presented. However the service really let the place down. The waitress brought our choice of white wine and ice bucket to our table but did not unscrew the bottle top never mind pour the wine. Similarly she brought water and glasses to the table but did not pour it for us. She may have been new but she appeared to be out of her depth. This is the second time I have been disappointed at the poor service at the Spice Lounge if there is a third time I will not be going again.

Very disappointed with the food. Service was rushed and at one point a plate of food was dropped next to where I was sitting. I didn't make a big deal but the waitress was very matter of fact about it and wasn't interested if it had gone on to my clothes. We were with friends from Carnoustie and they have taken us to their local Indian restaurant ,which is amazing, so we felt very let down. On ordering a Biryani they didn't even advise that there was no requirement to order a side of rice as it is a dish containing rice! Would not rush back even although it is very local to our house.

We were there with friends and really enjoyed the great food, great service and a setting. We have been there 4 times before and the food is always great!

Excellent food and service,only complaint was restaurant was a bit chilly but when asked the staff turned the air conditioning down apart from that would definitely recommend

Food was very tasty only thing I would say I wasn't that happy about was that the food took very long t be served, but it was a nice atmosphere.

Lovely food and beautifully cooked. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere,bar is a bit of a barn though. Width going to got good Indian food.

Lovely food, good value & quick service - a really nice experience with the girls from work. Everybody enjoyed their choices & for a set Christmas menu there was loads to choose from! Will be back :-)

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in the UK and perhaps globally. Have eaten excellent Indian cuisine in London, York, and Boston. Highly skilled culinary team at the Spice Lounge. Smooth, tasty sauces. Mixed grill offers plenty of meat and seafood with distinct flavours. Looking forward to returning again and again. Highly recommended.

Excellent food. Quality and presentation exceptional. We have eaten here regularly since it opened and never yet been disappointed. City centre style in a convenient location.

The overall experience was first class from a very warm and friendly greeting on entry to the excellent waiting staff who were very attentive and informative.

The food was good. The attendants were friendly to the kid's. The surrounding looks great for a romantic dinner. We Did not have to wait for long time for our order to arrive.

Excellent atmosphere, service and food. Mains were ready very quick, especially given the size of our party (7), and the waitress joined in on our banter. One recommendation: The Spice indicator on the menu/level of 'heat' of the dishes could be looked at. My dish should have been medium/hot, and I found it to be quite mild. Although, still absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back!

Staff were harassed and service was rushed when it did happen. Atmosphere was not calming and drinks took ages to get to the table. Staff need to chill and take their time. Some customers seemed to get 'special treatment' by more attentive service, coats taken and also watched by staff to ensure they were happy. We had to keep looking for staff to order more drinks or ask for more food despite being in the middle of the room. Experience was not the best at all despite reading reviews from fellow critics, I felt it was over priced as the experience as a whole was about the same atmosphere as a McDonald's. Food was ok but nothing to give awards over as it had been sitting for a while before it made it to the table. Rice was hard too. Would only go back if I had a money off coupon for 50% off as local takeaways who deliver have better value for money.

Great food and no too pricey would definitely go back if I was in the area could not find any fault what so ever. Very good

Meal was really good, staff were nice and friendly, not very busy but the starter was 30 minutes from order and the main was another 30 minutes. Who knows how long you would wait if it was busy ?

Excellent service and the food was very good. Great choice of dishes, we had the korma, tikka masala and jalfrezi, all were really tasty. Would highly recommend this Indian restaurant.

Had a lovely meal which came to the table piping hot. The flavours were fantastic and we left very satisfied but a few ££lighter as the meal was not cheap (but worth it for a treat)

Great food,good service and prices reasonable highly recommend it and already have as a work colleague has always fancied going.My other half and her daughter are already devotees and now think I've been converted too.

Went there table was booked, wasn't happy with the service at all, starters were ok! The Maggies noodles, on the table before the main, no plates till 20 mins late.

Great food and friendly staff couldn't fault it would definitely recommend it to others and will return also.It was reasonably priced heard it was expensive but I didn't think so

Poor service not customer friendly long wait for first drink also starters came in two stages had to ask after waiting 5 minutes food ok.

The menu had a very large selection of dishes to choose from. Also, the food in general was very nice and I would certainly re-visit the Spice Lounge. The customer service was very prompt as well. Finally, the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and was a very relaxing setting to have a nice meal.

Food was stunning, service amazing and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon. Decent prices too. This is one of the best Indian restaurants that I have been to.

Friendly efficient & staff. Felt like we could have stayed all evening. Food was excellent, especially the Peshwari nan! The discount for NHS/Police & Fire staff was an unexpected bonus - thanks for the recognition.

This is the first time we have eaten at this restaurant, we will go back again. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend anyone try here at least once. :0)

Very relaxed and friendly. Food really good. Staff attentive. A little slow with drinks, but it was quite busy. Will certainly revisit. Good value and child friendly. Would like to try the tapas menu in the future.

The delivery time is too much on weekends. Curry of dishes was good but Indian breads especially garlic nan wasnt that good. Overall good place to dine..

As we have not long moved into the area we had heard about spice lounge through freinds, the resteraunt was very welcoming, we were looked after from start to finnish, both the food and the service were amazing, we will definetly be coming back.

The Spice Lounge food was great. Staff were very nice. Service very slow - we would come back again, but would hope the service much quicker.

Really good quality Indian Food well spiced and very tasty. The place was packed so it was great we had booked through Quandoo was we went straight in with no waiting.

Food was excellent took friends with me for the first time and they really enjoyed the food. We take ourself around various curry houses and rate this as one of the best

Excellent food and service, the food was well cooked, fresh and reasonably priced. The portion sizes were excellent and the presentation of all the food was very nice.

Booking conirmation came through promptly. Attentive and pleasant service for drinks when we arrived. Good range of very tasty food in the self-service buffet, frequently replenished as required. No pressure to vacate seats when we had finished eating. Altogether a very pleasant Sunday lunch at a reasonable price.
