Incredible food and atmosphere. Linda (our waitress) was specifically great at explaining what the food was and how to compliment it with wine and the dipping sauces! Would recommend to everyone!

Lovely theme to the restaurant, as someone who's lived and travelled in Greece and the Islands I was pleasantly surprised it was like a traditional taverna. The main waitress was quite abrupt though, a little clinical in the descriptions of the dishes as we overheard her say the same thing to every table in the restaurant, and we could see that she wasn't happy with the younger waitress on that evening (who we have no qualms with, she was attentive and had a smile!) The meze was very rushed, dish after dish arrived and we felt a little rushed with no time to enjoy the food, we were felt we weren't eating quick enough - other greek meze's I've had they wait and ask if you're ready for the next selection. Our son young wanted to have a little more of the calamari from our meze, and instead of just addding a few to a dish we were charged with a full side plate dish of calamari with fries at £7 which we thought was a little tight. When main's and meze was over, we waited 20 minutes before WE asked to see the desert and coffee menu. Service I would say certainly wasn't up to greek standards, especially charging full price for a few bits of calamari for an eager child ontop of an over priced meze really £20 per head with no option to try more of any dish! The rose wine was expensive and not very nice (my husband said the red was OK) But we enjoyed the atmosphere and although overpriced, the food was tasty, but could have been a little more relaxed, and I'd say bigger portions - especially of the salad and dips!

Fantastic experience. Visited for a birthday meal. we both had the Meze tasting menus, and loved it. Fabulous choice of dishes that just kept on coming. Gave us a real taste of Greek food. Great service, great atmosphere and good value too.

We love going to Socrates but it is a hour from our home I have been going there for about 30 years it's amazing!

we had the mezze ,and it was great! it had food in it that i normally would not have ordered but i enjoyed all the dishes that they brought out

Went for a rare date night with my partner. Had an amazing meal. We opted for the meze which offers a delicious assortment of many Greek meals. The staff were lovely and made the night even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

The food is excellent, healthy portions- I end up with a doggy bag as I love the different maze so order too much. Ambience great & friendly staff

4 family members, food beautifully cooked. Restaurant full. Did not give full marks because 2 of the group ordered Calamari for starter which we found too salty, everything else perfect. Staff were lovely.

As usual, everything was excellent, we love coming here. The standard never slips.

We ordered the Meze which was absolutely delicious and served over a period of about an hour. Extremely friendly staff and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Excellent food and service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely little restaurant. Well worth a visit. Meze is great value for money. Less than £30pp for 3 bottles of wine n meze for 5. We were all full and food left over.

The food was not authentic Greek or seasoned. Very poor performance from someone that was expecting real Greek food. Although, staff where nice. Also, house wine was not nice and tasted fizzy, not worth £17 a bottle that they charged.

Great all round, with very friendly staff who always do want to ensure you know what you are eating. aubergine imam was incredible! I would hightly recommend and we will be back :-)

Friendly staff and fantastic food - a great Meze selection with every dish so tasty. The chocolate baklava dessert was also definitely worth straying from the traditional version. We will be back soon.

A taste of Greece in Horwich washed down with genuine Greek/Cypriot wine and beer all served in a typically Greek atmosphere. Highly recommended - Give it a try!

Food was great, looked good and tasted amazing. The restaurant itself is so cosy and comfortable with fab table decorations. Me and my friend loved it.

Cosy, intimate, the staff are really friendly and informative, the menu was varied and authentic, the food was excellent, we are still very new to Greek cuisine, but really enjoyed it, gave them 24 hours notice we wanted the lamb as requested on the website, but everything tremendous, going back to try the Mezze on a week or two

Usual excellent (and very filling) mezzes. Great Value! Perhaps the decor and facilities could use an uplift but the food & friendly staff are great.
