Lovely food, service and ambience The setting overlooking the weir is splendid and having coffee and petit fours on the lawn by the river was a bonus

Delicious food, great atmosphere and not rushed at all. Perfect combination of flavours and something a little different. A perfect place to celebrate a significant birthday! Would definitely recommend and plan to return in future.

Food is very good. Service was not a good ascot should have been. Water not topped up. Everything seemed rushed. Bathroom towels run out. Just lots of little things. Nothing major.

Food so much better at the London resturant, and even on the P&O ships. Nice but disapointing. The lamb was so salty sent it back and got it deleted. No high lights at all

Each mouthful was an amazing experience. We also had a beautifully spiced free soup between starter and main, a lovely free Dal side with the main and wonderful little sweets for free after desert.

4th visit for tasting menu not a patch on the first. 50% price increase to bear. Usual change of chef etc. Pity will think twice about a £220.00 Birthday lunch for two again!

I visited this restaurant as part of our company conference dinner in 2015. I was impressed with the service, quality of food and atmosphere. That is why I decided to celebrate my wife's birthday yesterday with a birthday lunch. Again, excellent service, quality of food is astounding and we had a good view of the River Thames. The price may seem to be expensive but still good value for money, and the restaurant is always full. Sindhu caters for an exclusive clientele, so I would highly recommend it.

We had booked a table at Sindhu a number of months ago for a joint 50th birthday celebration having enjoyed the Sindhu restaurants on P&O cruise ships. Having read some of the reviews on here for the restaurant in Marlow, we were a bit apprehensive. However we needn't have worried as the visit lived up to all my expectations. We went for the tasting menu with accompanying wines, The chiefs complementary dish of Pumpkin soup was delicious with a very pleasant spicy kick. The flavor of the Aloo and Samosa Chaat was great. The Scallop with textures of Parsnip was amazing. My favorite course was the Stone Bass. Both the Chicken and Lamb were lovely (If I was being really picky, I think the Lamb may have been slightly overcooked, but it was still lovely). The trio of deserts were delicious, I particularly enjoyed the cheesecake. Each course was accompanied with a different wine, which was introduced and described by the waiter, and each wine complemented the food very well. The service was great, from arrival to departure, nothing was too much trouble. One of party does not like fish, so they replaced they fish course with a very nice Chicken Tikka dish. The speed of service was perfect, It's not cheap, but I wasn't expecting it to be and it was for a special celebration. Overall a great evening, with great food and service. Need to start saving for a return visit.

We have the 7 course meal with wines, bit expensive, but as it was a special treat, well worth it. Staff were very good, food was amazing and the wines were excellent matches. Only issues we had was with the Complete Angler hotel, they had an event on and there was loud music on (this was a Sunday night) till gone midnight. If we had known this was the case, we would have been prepared for it, but after going back to the room around 10/10:30 having unexpected loud music killed the mood of the day. Reception said it would finish at 11:30, we called again when it was still going after that and was told it would be on till 12. No compensation (not to sure what that would have been but something would have been nice), defiantly check if you are in the 'danger zone' for loud party music before checking in. Moaning aside, we will defiantly be going back to Sindhu - can't fault them, but maybe not staying in the hotel.

Nice place, good (not excellent) food , at a premium price. We ordered the tasting menu, without accompanying wines (we ordered a bottle of wine separately). Sadly, a bit too much salt in several dishes and the chicken in the chicken kebab was dry. The desserts were delicious.

Excellent. Nothing to fault despite it being a busy Friday night service. Everything from the light as air popadoms at the start to the hand made chocolates at the end was delicious and prepared with skill, care and the finest ingredients.

Great service, very attentive staff, and lovely surroundings. The food was only average, however. Our starters and mains lacked depth of flavour, portions were small and the naan bread was quite tasteless. We're unlikely to return.

Excellent menu. The food was amazing. Spicy but not excessively hot. Somoeone in the kitchen knows their craft. Service was impeccable. The place has a nice buzzy atmosphere. This was our third visit which tells you how good we think it is.

A lovely restaurant. A beautiful room with a beautiful view and a most enticing spicy smoky smell. The food was delicious, unusual, lovely to look at and very interesting. The staff were charming and attentive and professional. Altogether a delightful experience. I'm giving it 5 and not 6 because we went on a Saturday night and had to wait longer than average for our food and it was quite noisy so sometimes difficult to be heard by my fellow diners, without raising my voice. I'd certainly go again, but not on a Saturday evening.

Great setting, good service and delicious food. Tasting menu very good. Lamb a little salty but halibut was exquisite. Wine list of good variety and not too overpriced like many restaurants of this quality. Staff were just the right mix of attentive and caring without being too pushy or overly interrupting. Well worth trying and we will definitely go again.

Good location, pleasant ambiance, food mainly good but some things disappointing. Had tasting menu which for us was one course too many and some items not clearly described - 2 dishes had tomato sauces which would have avoided if known! However the scallops, the stone-bass and the dessert were excellent. Would return but go a la carte

Although the restaurant was not busy on our visit, there was a nice atmosphere. The service was attentive without being overbearing. We all had the tasting menu; with the exception of the lamb, which was OK, the food was exceptional.

Dined as a group of four and ordered the "chef's table" which we've ordered before. It was uncrowded, unhurried with perfect intervals between beautifully cooked and presented dishes with subtle and intriguing flavours. The wine list does not go overboard but would have liked to see a wider choice at lower price points. The desserts need more pizazz, more zing. A little ho hum.

The Sindhu restaurant and staff, together with the food were as wonderful as ever. The only thing that let the evening down was the 20 min wait for our 6 drinks, (2 glasses champagne, 3 cocktails and a G&T), in a bar where there were only two tables of two. Compleat Angler, Completely unacceptable.

excellent food once again and table d'hote menu good value. Only criticism is that the one glass of wine ordered and recommended by the waiter did not materialise. By the time we realised it was too late and indeed was not missed as the food was being enjoyed so much.

Wonderful atmosphere and good service. Food is delicious especially the extra touches like the homemade sweets at the end. The only slight disappointment was the mains. The prawns in their shells were a bit chewy and the sauce a little bland. My partner asked for a hotter spicier chicken dish and it wasn't really all that hot. The naan breads were quite average too. We were expecting more I think because of the price which is why I only scored a 4. We did have a lovely evening overall and enjoyed the food overall.
