Simply Greek Tavern

Friendly welcoming staff who made for a relaxed dinner. The vegetable lasagne was partly made (the whole of a lower layer) from vegetable sausage which was unexpected and untypical albeit innovative. As no alternative was offered I left most of the main course which was a shame after very good starters.

Beautiful food and beautiful staff. 😍 Would recommend very highly.

The service was great,but the food just o.k. Most of us has chicken or pork skewers and the meat was very dry.

It was an extremely busy evening, as there'd been a home football game. One of our party had been before and said she'd never seen it so busy. Sadly the kitchen seemed to totally lose control. Dishes came out in a very ad-hoc way and with lots of really long waits. It took ages for each course to arrive, and then different people's food came at different times. The restaurant had also run out of halloumi and a few of the wines. The serving staff were courteous and I think they were trying their best, and the food was all delicious, once it arrived. We liked the greek live music, although it was a little too loud, as we had to shout at each other to hold a conversation.

My husbands meal was nice but my lamb kleftico was very fatty and a bit bland. There were only 2 tables but service was average .don't know whether its changed hands but used to be a lot better

Been many times before. This is first time we've been in the afternoon. It's was a little quiet, much prefer the evening. Didn't spoil our overall experience & will definitely be coming back.

This restaurant is really good greek food!! Its very cheap and friday and saterday you have live greek music what really nice is. This restaurant is really a 9.5 !!

Been a few times to simply Greek and it's been ok but wasn't impressed this time with the food, a few people had the same dishes of the prawn saganaki which was really poor the entertainment was so loud you couldn't here yourself speak until the live music stopped ,we complained to the manager about the bland tasting food and all he did was take 90p off the bill for the pita bread which a was told came with our meal anyway sorry but we won't be returning

The food was lovely but so much we couldn’t eat it all. The live music was very good but the atmosphere was spoilt a little by not having the lights dimmed. Overall it was a lovely night.

Food was lovely, service fast and friendly, company even better. One of the best house wines I’ve had in a long time. They had trouble locating out booking though.

Not what I was expecting. The food was quite basic and the presentation left a lot to be desired. Lots of it just thrown o to a plate onto of frozen chips.

Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Kalamari and prawns were tasty and enjoyable. Ouzo and wine good and Greek coffee was a fine finish to the meal. A true reminder of Greece. We'll be visiting again.

Very good service, food is tasty and live music a perk that we enjoyed. Dancing area could've been a bit more spacious but still okay. We all had a great time.

Good food, professional waiters and waitresses. The portions are good size and I was very impressed by the meat, very tender and cooked just right. The live music was excellent, the lady singer's voice is amazing and the band was so good it was like to have a CD in three background. The only minor point is about the room itself, which could do with some more colourful decorations.

WE arrived at 6-32 for a table booked for 6-30 only to find the doors locked a member of staff opened only to tell us that they had closed earley and apologised.

Excellent service and food will definitely return. We had the set meze and the amount of food and variety was amazing the staff were helpful a little gem.

The staff gave my girlfriend and I a warm welcome. Our starters and mains came out in a very timely manner. The drinks and food were well priced and the staff took the time to speak to us when we were dining. They had live Greek music on valentines which really added to the atmosphere. It was our second visit at this restaurant and we would go back a third time.

Very friendly service, gorgeous fresh food and great portion size. I would definitely recommendation visit here. We had the Chicken Skewers and Pork Skewers, and both came with Salad and chips. Really tasty food.

Lovely family run restaurant- food is delicious and authentic, the only thing missing is the weather! Nothing was too much trouble, a firm family favourite.

My daughter and I had a Meze lunch at the restaurant this week. The food was typically Cypriot and was very tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient . We will certainly return!

We had a mini buffet as we had never had Greek before It was very nice. The staff were lovely, live music made it all so much better. Will go back anytime.
