great food, good wine, very resonable. i would definintely book this for a mid week meal. the staff were very knowlegable and helped us to pick a bottle of wine and made a donut stalk for my boyfriends birthday.
Really nice food and great service. Very reasonable bill for the quality of food too. The bread is some of the nicest I've had, I'll have to try and make some myself!
Really disappointed with the food. A good word to describe it would be bland. I had baby squid but all I could taste was the batter. The dipping sauce had an indeterminate flavour. For main, we had mussels, which came in a tasteless and gritty grey water. That was a very over-priced £10. I didn't bother with the pudding. On the up side, the service was good and the venue is cute and intimate. Won't be going again though.
After main course they gave us dessert menus and said, you have to leave the table in 15 minutes. We should have been told at the start of the meal that they needed he table back at 8pm. We were not. It was very rude, and spoilt the meal.
Went to the Season Kitchen for Valentine's Day and it was great. We must have been one of the last booked tables at 9.30pm, and just about the last ones to leave, but never felt rushed. The set menu was expensive at £50 per head on that night, but the atmosphere, service and quality of food was high for us, so didn't mind this given the day that it was on. I'm a Finsbury Park local, and would go back again.
All good. Lovely food and atmosphere, a really great evening, the best restaurant in the area. The staff are really friendly and it's just a great local place to go and eat.
We were very well looked after by the staff at Seasons and the food they served was superb, as was the wine. It made for a lovely evening
Season Kitchen, is simply one of the best neighbourhood restaurant in Finsbury Park. The food, atmosphere and service are excellent in all ways. We always come back and we are never disappointed, happy face every time!
Great food, atmosphere and service. The doughnuts and chips are AMAZING. Steak was not the best cut, but they gave us a free glass of prosecco in return.
The service was very friendly and efficient, and the roast lamb was excellent. Everyone was very pleased with their meal - particularly the yorkshire puddings!
cutest place with an epic little selection of exquisite dishes...all seasonal (name doesn't let you down) and dainty! granary bread to die for. if not for the baby monkfish and pork, just go for the quirky collection of vintage pictures and cutlery. absolutely loved it.
Fantastic! Great menu and service. Love this local restaurant and it's warm and welcoming feel. Helpful ideas on wine to choose and a wide selection of reasonably priced options.
This is a super little restaurant delicious steaks, brilliant crisp fat chips and wonderful friendly service. House red wine good and they also have vodka.
Season is a wonderful place to catch up with friends, go on a date. ALL of the food is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The staff are very welcoming and informative. I would highly recommend Season. Thank you.
Great food and atmosphere. Best steak we have eaten for a while. Well worth going before 7pm to save £4 for the plate of chips!
Steak was cooked perfectly to order. Greens were delicious and perfectly cooked. Wine was delicious. However some of the food was over-seasoned (too salty) - the 'crinkle cut chips' were neither crinkle cut nor chips but deep fried potato chunks and very salty...there was even salt sprinkled ontop of the rosemary chocolate pot dessert - after the previous salt onslaught the chocolate pot was not sweet enough or chocolaty enough to warrant this. Portion sizes were variable - chocolate pot very small, poached pears were fine. We were also it appears charged for the tap water which is a restaurant first for me. Albiet only £3, but it was an unfortunate and rather miserly charge which instead of mentioning we just reduced the service charge we normally give. It doesn't exactly leave you with a warm glow.
A warm welcome followed by the efficient courteous serving of excellent food. Our party of four were agreed on c highly recommending this local restaurant.
I love Seasons, it is simply brilliant. The best steak and chips I have ever eaten. Excellent food, excellent atmosphere and will keep on going and going! Jane
Brilliant service and food as always! There are always wonderful unexpected twists within the menu - the rosemary chocolate pot is delicious and moreish. Definitely recommend.
Excellent quality food, an interesting and well priced wine list and a very friendly welcome from the owner. Great Pineau as an aperitif and cognac after the meal
Excellent local eatery. Really tasty spelt mushroom risotto. Delicious tender steak and fresh perfectly cooked cod. Friendly and personable owner and staff. Lucky to have this on our doorstep.
Every time we have been the food has been amazing, the staff wonderfully friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere just the right balance between buzzing yet allowing conversation. The frequent changes to the menu mean there is always something exciting on offer, especially in terms of vegetarian options which is all too rare. I would especially recommend the house red - a Tempranillo that I've found always goes wonderfully with whatever I've ordered!
I love the intimate atmosphere and fantastic food. Always a very convivial night out. Really great produce, beautifully cooked and simply presented. A local gem.
Great local restaurant. Delicious fish and steak, and the best chips. Also excellent for roast dinners. Love the atmosphere, very cosy and calm. Very reasonably priced.
Third visit with friends for birthday meals. Food excellent and staff charming. Steak nights great value for money. Small but intimate surroundings tastefully decorated. Thrilled that it's my local .
A cosy, intimate atmosphere with a brilliant host/owner. The chef took the time to come and chat to us about the gluten free options for my girlfriend who is coeliac, which shows how much not only the owner but the kitchen care about serving their guests to the highest standards. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable on the wine list, and his recommendation was great. The food also turned out to be incredibly tasty. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates brilliant food and mid-upper level prices (this place is worth it).
Amazing food. Roasts are spot-on, beat the heck out of most pub roasts. Custard filled doughnuts with strawberry preserve are stunning and the wine just tops it all off.
Great local restaurant - we're regulars here. Short but innovative menu; style is modern British using many local ingredients (even lical cheese!). Friendly service and lively atmosphere.
Absolutely top, very well recommended. Fresh, well-cooked ingredients, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere - we couldn't ask any more, thank you!
Went for Sunday lunch which was delicious. Much better than any I have had in a pub and for the same if not better price.
Our mains courses were excellent, but a bit let down by a tasteless cooked peach desert. Service excellent and quick so good for pre and post theatre.
The meal was superb. The menu had some very unusual options as well as the true and tried. When the food came it all tasted delicious. The service was very good. For a "special" meal, the price was good.
Brilliant food, great atmosphere. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a restaurant in Finsbury Park - plus not too expensive!
the food as always was excellent. we were glad we had booked as there was a large Italian family celebrating a combi -birthday / wedding anniversary. I would have given a 6 but for the waiter who made an unfortunate mistake.
Third visit here, service initially good as usual. Starter of sardines nice. Main course of flat iron steak bit chewy, had to leave some. Mentioned to waiter who said he would tell chef. Nothing came back and bill arrived as normal. Mentioned issue to another waitress and she arranged steak to be taken off bill. Pleasant surprise but felt had to push issue.
Fine wine at really low prices accompanied by straightforward and reasonably priced food. The cooking here is simple whilst being well executed and the restaurant has a cute relaxing ambience about it. Its not pretentious and not a big deal either, which is exactly what I want most of the time. Wine list 6/6.
As always, excellent food and friendly service. The flatiron steaks were tender and particularly good value. This is a restaurant that one can return to regularly knowing things will be good.
Excellent local restaurant. Food was fresh, delicious and simple but beautifully prepared. Amazing value for money, great wine list and service with a smile. Couldn't fault.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, delicious food. What more could you want? Enjoyed the halibut; perfectly cooked. Always happy to have an opportunity to go to Season... never disappoints.
Great food, unusual and very good wine and great service! Charming neighbourhood restaurant with interesting starters and meaty mains. I am a regular here and am never disappointed
We ate the chicken special, which was very tasty, we had a carafe of wine and shared the flat peach desert, which was delicious. The service was very good and it was excellent value.
Lovely neighbourhood restaurant. Delicious food and friendly waiting staff. Sourdough bread is to die for, as is the rest of the menu! Wine is very reasonably priced.
Lovely local restaurant with delicious food, good wine and excellent service - my favourite in Finsbury Park. If the rosemary chocolate pot is on the dessert menu, make sure you leave room for it :)
I think the owners or at least the menu must have changed since we last went; there's far less choice for vegetarians than there used to be; what I could eat was very well prepared and presented however. The almond gazpacho was delicious, for example.
A great restaurant with amazing staff. Would always go when visiting Park Theatre. Not a huge selection, but that is better as all the food is fresh and great wine too.
I have visited this restaurant four times over the last year - exceptional food and service every time. Including a pretty life-changing steak yesterday! :)
We chose the Special of the day, sea bream ceviche and chicken pilaff which were both delicious followed by flat peaches, all reasonably priced. Recommended!
Visited for a pre-theatre meal and took advantage of their early special deal on steak (or mussels) and chips. Starters were particularly tasty (a burrata with mint and a white gazpacho). Interesting choice of wine by the glass too.
It was fantastic! Food, wine and service wonderful.! A real north London gem. Would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious but totally unpretentious meal in Finsbury Park. Will be going back.
Excellent fresh food and calm efficient service. One of my favourite local restaurants with a friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place for a bit of a treat.
