San Lorenzo - Gosforth

Booked last minute for a Christmas lunch for 7. Every dish was hot, delicious and tasty. Chicken liver pate is always my favourite starter, pasta dishes were lovely. Fantastic service from beginning to end. They have lunchtime and evening special with lots of dishes to chose from. Love San Lorenzo’s and will definitely be back soon.

Lovely food, brilliant service and great value for money. Although busy when we arrived the staff were excellent at serving us quickly. The food was great and the set menu is excellent value for money. In my opinion the best Italian on the high street.

Thought the pizzas were poor. The Calamari starter was very poor and the pizza I chose (marinara) was covered in these poor calamari. (The battered calamari simply disintegrated when fork was put into them and they were fairly tasteless). The restaurant itself and the ambiance was very nice. The service was good and the staff friendly. Unfortunately, it’s all about the food... I won’t be back.

First time we have visited and it certainly won't be the last. The service was prompt & friendly and the food was excellent, particularly the salmon main course which was the best salmon I've had in a long time.

Very enjoyable meal. All good quality and good sized children's meals. Staff very accommodating on a busy Saturday evening when we were quite pushed for time for a trip to the theatre. Would definitely go to this restaurant again.

Lovely restaurant, nice atmosphere, great service and outstanding food. Especially the chocolate and peanut butter cheesecake which my son claimed was he best thing he’s ever eaten. Can’t wait to go back.

Went to San Lorenzo for the happy hour. As usual the food was excellent, can thoroughly recommend the meatballs. Service as usual was great. Will be back again soon. Even better the happy hour portions are same as normal price!

Good food and service. Glad there was a gluten free option for coeliacs. I am not keen on gf pasta so I chose the salmon dish it was delicious which was wreaked to suit my special diet. Staff were great.

Amazing food and service. Couldn't fault it. We didn't like the wine we had chose (by the bottle) server didn't even hesitate and let us pick another instead.

The food was amazing as always, potato skins are lush & the tomato pasta dishes are delish too!! Prices are very reasonable too so would highly recommend!!

Excellent food with great service and wonderful staff. As well as all of the usual Italian classics we had an amazing steak and also a huge portion of fish and chips. Really good prices too! What’s not to like? Will be back soon x😘🥂

I have been to San Lorenzo many times. Last night took a pal of mine. We both had the fillet steak. It was fab. The atmosphere is great and the staff excellent.

Great food and atmosphere with loads of birthday parties. Make sure you book, it was packed all night (Friday). Despite it being busy there was no delay with our food due to the hard working staff.

Great food in a great family atmosphere. Not just a pizza / pasta restaurant- we had specials : scallops and lamb were exceptional. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We absolutely love this restaurant. The staff are friendly and while the service may not be impeccable, the food is incredible and they make you feel special. Sometimes, it gets too warm in the restaurant but that's only b/c its full of people enjoying awesome food!

All five of us really enjoyed our meal. Lovely calamari starter and braised pork special. Great service our third visit and always an excellent experience.

Yet another great meal at San Lorreno. We had booked a table for 4 unfortunately 2 of the party had to canclle at the last minute this was not a problem for the staff who thanked us for letting them know that there would only be 2 of us. We were made to feel very welcome on are arrival we were shown straight to are table where we had a great meal. Thank you to all the staff

Fabulous food & service. The 2 or 3 course deal is real value for money. Chicken risotto the best I’ve ever tasted as was the sticky toffee pudding. We will definitely be back.

Excellent service and excellent food. A 'doggy bag' was provided because the portion sizes are generous and we wanted to take left-overs home. Lovely wine too.
