First timer here. Really nice surroundings, spacious, welcoming. Two waiters were friendly. We went off the Presto menu - bruschetta for starters, Pollo alla Romana and Napoli Pasta - and the food was excellent. We also had desserts - the sticky toffee pudding was enormous. Peronni and (I think) Moretti on the tap (we didn't try the wines). Overall would certainly go again.

Excellent variety and quality of food. Good service in a busy restaurant but not too noisy to prevent conversation at the table. Would definitely go again.

First visit at San Lorenzo and it certainly won't be our last. Restaurant was well presented, staff were attentive, service was vey good and the food was excellent. I had meatballs with chilli and penne pasta and my wife had the very hot pizza (can't remember the actual names of the dishes!) and both tasted lovely. All in all a very enjoyable experience for our anniversary. Than you.

Great food and atmosphere with lots of inciting options on the menu. The carbonara had a heavy amount of cheese, but the chocolate orange cheesecake was incredible. They offer a promotion with a free bottle of prosecco on your birthday, so you can't really go wrong. Would definitely go back.

Once again we had great food and excellent service . San Lorenzo has to be in our top three of restaurants we most like to visit if not number 1 john and janice

After our visit on Friday we just want to say thank you for the lovely food, great atmosphere and service! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

We took the meal deal of 2 courses for £9.95 with dessert an extra £3.00, two of the group decided on dessert after asking for menus a couple of times eventually got them. Dessert was ordered, when we received the bill we were charged £5.95 and were told we should have ordered from a different menu where there was a different choice, yet we were never given that menu.

Fantastic food and amazing service! Will definately be going back. Pizzas were too die for an definately too big to finish. Best restaurant food Iv had for a while.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, the decor is warm but fresh and light. The menu is varied and it includes a vegan choice. The chef will change meals for vegan choice. The staff are friendly and helpful., and the food is wonderful.

Great, casual, Italian eatery. Delicious food, helpful efficient staff and great atmosphere. We had some garlic, cheese and tomato pizza bread to start - it was the best ever! Portions are quite large, so we tend to have two starters instead of a main course and a couple of glasses of wine. All very enjoyable.

Service excellent but our food was not good so shall not be returning. Brought it up with the manager and he did change my meal. Very packed restaurant so a lot of customers very satisfied, may be we were unlucky.

Another great evening. Food was really good and waiter charming! Good value for money. Would recommend the goats cheese pizza! Sea bream was amazing too.

Good location and lively atmosphere. We had an early dinner at 6pm so there were quite a few families with children in the restaurant. Service was efficient but the main thing about this restaurant was the food. I had a chicken skewer starter followed by a penne pasta dish. The rosemary and sea salt bread was to die for.i would recommend and will be going back.

Delicious food and excellent service. We will definitely be returning. The staff were very friendly and I felt at ease with a baby. Very child friendly.

The food was good, but not outstanding. Starter of arancini was very nice. Main of monkfish and lentils was good (large portion too) but a little too salty; gnocchi also a bit too salty. Pizza which was supposed to be spicy wasn't very - although there were chillies on it, the person who had it said it wasn't very hot at all. Friday night was pretty noisy which made it hard to have conversations. Overall, we'd go again, but maybe try another night which might be quieter, or try a lunchtime.

Food was very nice but could have been served hotter. The waiter unfortunately knocked over my glass of prosecco at the table which spilt on my friendsnew watch and has stained the strap. She wasn't happy. Accidents happen. 😏😣

Excellent customer service . The quality of the food was very good and the portions were generous. Very reasonable on price including a decent bottle of wine.

The restaurant was very busy but it didn't stop the first class service, the staff were very efficient and attentive the food was delicious and the furious boar rose wine was a treat. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

Very accommodating. Lovely food - I couldn't believe the size of the pizzas. Lovely decor. The whole place was clean and had a lovely warm atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff too. Especially the tall lad on the bar! Will definitely be back.

Nicely presented Italian restaurant on Gosforth High Street. Booked for 6.30 on a Thursday evening and arrived to find it was very busy. Had pate for starter, which was more like a mousse, a bit disappointing. It did come with a very tasty chutney, though. Had a chicken dish for mains and was very disappointed to find that the chicken was partly chicken leg. Not what I expected!

Food was very good, but the service was a little slow even though the restaurant was quiet. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Best pizza i've had in a long while. Would recommend and will be returning. Nice atmosphere only criticism would be we were sat next to another table when there was plenty of other tables free.

A great night out with great food. Service was excellent, the Scottish waiter was very helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Food arrived quickly and was both hot and delicious. Will be returning at some point soon!

The service was good. The food was perfectly acceptable but didn't have any wow factor for me I'm afraid. Nice ambience in the restaurant but altogether an average experience.

Really nice Sunday lunch yesterday and the kids enjoyed making their own pizzas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would happily recommend this restaurant

Excellent service, fab atmosphere and really lovely food. The portions were large and all the meals were excellent. The staff were all really helpful. Shame they ran out of the specials starter but plenty of other choices.

All the staff members were very courteous and made us feel very welcome despite my three-year-old son making a bit of a mess at the table whilst eating. My son is very fussy about food but he ate very well there so I'm definitely bringing him back there to enjoy his meal out. My husband and I were ready to leave as our parking time was up, however my son insisted to stay back for longer to finish the food. He was also dancing on his high chair because he loved the Italian music in the background so much!

We had an excellent evening at San Lorenzo. Food was good and the service was excellent. It was a family meal and the children were well looked after. We shall be returning soon

There is a good choice and quality of food. Staff are always very friendly and check everything is ok without being on top of you all the time. Good atmosphere in the restaurant also.

The meal I ordered was a bit bland but when I have been before the food is usually very good. The service was great as usual.

Absolutely superb as usual, excellent service, excellent food. We go here for a treat, due to the lousy weather it was a perfect solution. We would highly recommend San Lorenzo to everyone.
