Excellent food & service - definitely worth a visit or two!!!! Restaurant has been refurbished since we were last here and is light and airy great improvement.

It's lovely food and staff. Always value for money. And the tea time deals even better. X Great place. For friends family and even s quiet solo meal in the afternoon.

We arrived late but it was not a problem we were shown to our table,unfortunately we had both forgotten our reading glasses so we were unable to read the menu.Not a problem the waitress promptly read the menu to us,we made our choices and thoroughly enjoyed our food.Service xcllnt atmosphere just finished off an enjoyable day .

We had a lovely night at San Lorenzo. Friendly staff, good service and lovely food made for a very nice night out with friends. Would definately recommend this restaurant!

Food was OK. 10 mains ordered, 2 wrong, 2 pizzas ordered for takeaway, 1 wrong, very polite staff tainted by not getting order correct, 1st visit excellent, 2nd visit very average.

Flavourssome food with good attentive service, We were pleasantly surpised as wedidnt know what to expect. Next time we are in Gosforth we will definitely return.

Excellent food and great service, only criticism was the table was on the small side for 4 persons, not a lot of room for glasses / wine bottle etc...

This is an excellent restaurant - extensive Italian menu with all food freshly prepared and delicious. It's always busy so the atmosphere is good and the staff are really helpful and friendly.

This place has a lovely atmosphere, the place was buzzing on the Saturday night we were there. The food was fabulous and the staff are great, very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. Had a great evening and will definitely go back.

Was busy but we didn't wait too long for our food. Food very good and served hot. The staff were friendly and nothing seemed to be a bother. Will go back.

Great atmosphere, very reasonably priced. Italian wines lovely. A bit too much garlic in one of our dishes but still very tasty. We will definitely return!

A last minute visit to San Lorenzo with friends. Good quality food, I had a really nice pizza, and the service is much improved since my last visit. We all enjoyed it.

Lovely meal, excellent service. However we ordered a half portion of gluten free pasta as a starter and a gluten free pizza. There was a surcharge of £3.50 per dish! whilst we were advised that there would be a small surcharge, we didn't expect it to be more than 30% of the cost of each dish! Eating out at other Italian restaurants we've never been charged more than £1 extra and quite often there is no extra charge. This is excessive since you can buy a 500g pkt gf pasta for less than £1.50. Even the pizza base at £3.50 more than the standard one is ott. The bill spoilt our experience and even though part of the extra charge was refunded after we queried it I don't think we'll go again unless they bring their pricing in line with other just as good establishments.

Our experience at San Lorenzo s was very good. Staff helpful and attentive. Pizza too big for me. Would have been better with half pizza and salad.

When arriving staff very friendly and inviting. We had the early evening menu which was lovely and would definitely go back again and try something different off the meu.

Absolutely gorgeous food and wine and the staff are lovely! Bit noisy when its busy but its a small restaurant so can't be helped. Always our go to restaurant :)

Really lovely food, friendly service and not too expensive! Glad we booked as it was quite busy despite not being happy hour. Great menu with excellent range of choices. Food was delicious and served promptly despite the kitchen being busy. Will defo visit again!

Very busy but we did not have to wait long for food which was very good. Only one mix up with order for one of the party.

We had starters followed by 4 pasta main courses. The food was very tasty and the service was timely and friendly. Prices not too bad either. Would definitely go again.

Food was excellent, staff friendly and efficient. However the noise level was so much we were yelling at each other to be heard. I appreciate there were a lot of people there from the Gosforth races but the previous time there it was just the same, possibly because of it being a small narrow restaurant.

A very friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was extremely helpful especially as she thought there was only two specials left which we wanted- she dashed off to tell her colleague that they were taken. Much appreciated.

The atmosphere and premises were great but ultimately the food was poor,lacking rich Italian flavours. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends anytime soon.

Varied menu, good service, amiable ambience, quiet at lunchtime. Fantastic pannacotta. The new San Lorenzo is so much nicer, brighter and a happy place to go.

The Food was very good. The Staff were very friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the seats were too close together. I will definitely be back again.

Great food, however the manager was quite rude to me and my friends at the end of our meal, which ended our meal negatively. For a manager, he should have been much more friendly, personable and welcoming!

Food was good, staff and service was good too, we found it a very noisy experience however, we were shouting across the table to hear one another.

I took my family for afternoon lunch and it did not fail to deliver. Three of us ordered from the early bird lunch menu and my six year old from kids menu. He got to make his own pizza and wear a chefs hat provided by the staff. Needless to say it was the best pizza ever (according to him and the manager) We had starter and pasta main which was delicious. Total bill including soft drinks for everyone was £44. Great value in my books. We've been a few times to San Lorenzos and will continue to visit. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and good service... went on a Monday evening so the management maybe underestimated the number of staff required, as we were a little slow to be served to start with, but I would definitely recommend.

Service was quick and friendly. The food was nice, although there are other Italians on the High Street that I would say are slightly better. The portion sizes for the starters were generous.
