San Lorenzo - Gosforth

Great location and great service. Food was exceptional considering it was just a few days before Christmas when it was extremely busy. We had an issue of another table spilling drinks which was attended to very quickly to ensure that this did not spoil our evening, well done guys.

Lovely friendly restaurant. Always busy but still good customer service. Only downside is there is a real draught through the restaurant every time the door opens.

Our first visit to this restaurant for my wife’s birthday, Great place atmosphere was really good, great food and drinks selection, staff all polite and friendly, food was served quite quick considering it was really busy. Portions are really generous and the food was so tasty..

We enjoyed our annual Christmas jumper night here. The food was hot, delicious and portion sizes were great. The service was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning to the restaurant soon.

1st time an defo wont be the last. Restarant was clean and tidy the food was fantastic and the service was great. Would strongly recommend san larenzos to any body as a must. Party of 4 and evry 1 had great words about the meal.

This restaurant has an excellent choice of vegetarian options. The meals were lovely and the service excellent. I went with a group of friends and we all enjoyed it.

Nice atmosphere, and the restaurant was pretty busy. Good service throughout the evening but I would say that the standard of the food was fairly average.

Nice venue since refurb, the staff are very friendly and the food good. Kids get to make their own pizzas which is a nice touch.

I enjoyed the food and despite the fact that it was busy service was good. The restaurant could do with a few curtains/carpets on the wall to deaden the noise.

We can't fault the staff at all as we have been to the restaurant a few times and have had no complaints, however yesterday all the meals that we had apart from the garlic bread, were all Luke warm, plates weren't hot. We had a considerable wait for the food also.

Very good service from start to finish. Having booked online and mentioned our party included a baby in a buggy they made sure our table had plenty of room for this. Quality and quantity of food was excellent. Only minor issue was the heat in the restaurant - it was full and very busy and, by the end of the night, very hot.

Four of us went for lunch, got a table no bother. Service was friendly and efficient. Excellent specials menu (lunch & early evening) menu with a choice of 2 or 3 courses from £9.95. Food was tasty and hot, really good value for price. Will definitely visit again.

The staff were very polite ...the meal was tasty but could have been hotter.....the waitress spilt a little lager onto my plate which didn't help...however we will come back to this restaurant.

Food ok but pizza was a bit oily for me. service good and good value for money. Will return as overall there were no issues.

Good quality lunchtime special -real value for money in lovely relaxed surroundings. Drinks reasonably priced and Sticky toffee pudding to die for with a jug full of gorgeous toffee sauce.

Lovely experience really nice atmosphere staff friendly and pleasant. We had the antipasta which was lovely and different. The meatballs were to die for. Yet again a great meal out.

The service was okay at best. I felt like they wanted people out before you even got In. The food was terrible and my prawns were raw! Would never eat there again.

Very attentive staff who welcomed us at the door. Great food. Great value for money. Very busy restaurant which was a little bit too noisy but it certainly had an upbeat atmosphere. I suppose you cannot get one without the other.

Excellent authentic food. Mussels were incredibly fresh with a delicious sauce. Only thing was that I ordered GF and although this was a replacement for something else it came with bread which I had to ask if it was GF. The pasta with crab sauce (GF) was delicious. And my husband and I shared their take on Eton Mess which was black currant sorbet and mixed fruits and meringue. Very fresh and delicious. Very nice atmosphere and great service.

Had a lovely experience from start to finish. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had starters and mains which were both lovely. Unfortunately there wasn't enough room for pudding. Delicious.

Welcoming atmosphere. Service was quick and efficient and my friend and I enjoyed a very nice meal. There was a lunchtime special if we had wanted it which seemed good value.

Good food ( the mussels were fabulous) and excellent service especially by one particular older person who might or might not have been the owner. Some of the younger staff were ok if a bit less enthusiastic. The only issue is one that I have with most newer restaurants. This minimalist interior makes for a very noisy, not atmospheric as hoped, restaurant where you can hardly hear what anyone says. It needs some soft furnishings.

Good food and a nice atmosphere. Easy to book online which is definitely advisable as it gets very busy in the evening. On good bus route which is handy.

Waited 15 minutes or so for our pre-booked table but otherwise food and drinks were excellent. Great options on the menu and friendly and efficient service.
