San Lorenzo - Gosforth

We travelled up from Norfolk for the Great North Run and booked this restaurant based on good reviews and the need for carbs! It didn’t disappoint, the food was lovely, staff helpful, and the restaurant itself was of a high standard. Perfect for our needs!

Nice food and staff a little noisy but not so it annoyed me. Great value and plenty of choices on the menu. Will definitely be going back again.

The restaurant was very noisy with a large group of people being excessively loud. The meal I had was poor; the beef was tough and the sauce tasteless. Having said that the service was very good and the staff friendly. The cooking needs attention!!

There was a good choice of food which was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit if you have never been before.

The table was ready on time despite being busy. Lots of options on menu. Great friendly service with excellent, good quality food arrived quickly in a nice atmosphere.

Everything was first class i.e. Service food wine and price . We have dined there many times and at each meal we have had the same high standard of food and service.

A nice Italian restaurant with attentive staff and a good menu we had the extra special topping on the pizza and the beef pasta "delicious " you pay a little extra but it was worth it. Very nicely decorated with exposed bricks and tastefull stencils on the walls. You would have to book at the weekend as it can get very busy

Very nice ambiance. Busy but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation at your table. Food was excellent particularly the calamari and the scallop/prawn ravioli. Good and reasonably priced wine selection too. Would recommend

Fabulous evening. Staff very friendly and helpful, extremely attentive! The food was delicious. I had tempura king prawns to start followed by the special which was sea colley, it was beautiful!!

Nice friendly attentive staff, good quality food and nice wine. No wonder this place is busy. An excellent addition to Gosforth High Street. This is about our sixth visit and I think iSan Lorenzo gets better every time we visit. So we will be back.

Great atmosphere, went on fizz Friday and the place was busy but service was still fab as was food! Will definitely we visiting again!

Lovely surroundings and very attentive staff despite it being extremely busy. The food was delicious and the portions more than adequate. We would definitely visit again.

Friendly and efficient staff and tasty food. The only small drawback was the loud noise of chatter from customers which made conversation for those of us with imperfect hearing difficult. Perhaps some soft surfaces would reduce this problem. Otherwise excellent service.

We met some friends for lunch and opted for the lunch time special. We all had a starter and a main which were all very tasty. Because of the portion size we could not manage a sweet.

A very pleasant evening in a nice atmosphere, all of my guests enjoyed their meal, the garlic prawns I had for starters were cooked perfectly followed by a large pasta, excellent service from our friendly waiter and very good value for money, I shall obviously be coming back again.

Went on a Friday night. Lovely food. Great service. I had the lamb which was delicious. My wife had hake which was equally delicious. Great wine choice and discounted prosecco - fizz Friday. Was busy so would definitely book if you’re planning to visit on a weekend.

This was my first visit to San Lorenzo. Wonderful food and great customer service. Staff friendly and food arrived promptly. I would definitely go back again.

The starter of chicken parfait was very ordinary. The lamb was tough (although beef was nice). The roast potatoes were so hard I couldn’t cut them let alone eat them. The veg mix was a dollop of over cooked veg - not very appetising.

Lovely food and staff were great, had a really nice meal. Can recommend the chicken risotto and cheesecake. Will definitely be back for future events!
