Another enjoyable experience at San Giovani. Always made to feel welcome with attentive service. Must rate as one of the top restaurants in the area.

Service was great, food was lovely apart from the wasp in my starter and the raw garlic on the garlic bread. Apart from that very reasonably priced and great service

Great food fabulous sesnil, staff friendly and helpful, not pushy. The atmosphere is relaxed and hapoy. Been a few times, food always been lovely, always served with a smile

Meal booked for 8.00pm, kept having to ask for drinks and menus (party of 7), finally got them at 8.45 and first course arrived at 9.30. Not enough waiters even though food was excellent when we got it. Dined here many times but this time service was well below normal standard

We enjoyed my wife’s birthday dinner very much. The food was great, nicely presented and the service was both relaxed and attentive. We are looking forward to our next visit in four weeks time.

Beautiful surroundings and nice staff but the food did not seem quite as good. The main course was served ion cold plates which took the heat away from the food.

Great Italian food. The risotto was particularly good. The waiting staff were lovely. Our only complaint was the greeting as we arrived. No warm welcome or even “can we help you?”

Great service very well looked after. The food was top class with a wide choice on the menu and a daily specials board. Nice atmosphere well worth a visit. Good value for money.

Friendly atmosphere and food was good. My wife was initially presented with a main course - turned out it was not hers and was taken away before she started. She opted for the Salmon Special which she confirmed was enjoyable - sorry we didn't ask the price before hand though as this was £19.95 according to the bill - considerably more than other comparable options and as it was not on the printed menu couldn't query this.

We are regular customers at this restaurant and the food has been excellent each time.The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the staff are always friendly

Pleasant welcome and nice table. Food excellent, we could only manage two courses as portions were ample size. When we'd booked mentioned it was our anniversary, whilst having tea and coffee after meal the staff brought us a small heart shaped profiterole to share with 'congratultions' being played. A great touch to finish or meal.

Our favourite restaurant. As always the food was fantastic, the staff were so welcoming and the service was second to none. Cannot recommend San Giovanni enough :)

The food was excellent as usual and the staff are always very polite and friendly. The steaks are a must when going here, cooked to perfection.

The meal was very good and sevcei was very good. Would go back again for a nought meal some time and tell my mates how good it was.

All very good, food, ambiance and service. It was very busy and we received a wa rm reception and we were made very welcome. We had a round table which I had requested and it was just right for the six of us.

Amazing value for the standard of beautiful food and great service highly recommend by other people and now by me my friends and my family.

My pasta was very very salty, my guests steak was very very fatty and smothered in sauce, this should have been served separately in a jug. There was a party in the restaurant with very noisy children running around which wasn’t good :/(

The restaurant was very busy for a Thursday night but very efficient service from pleasant staff. Food was great, served fresh from the open kitchen and very tasty, not over seasoned. Highly recommended.

Service was prompt, some may say they felt rushed. Starters and mains were excellent. Having visited Italy a few times I found the tiramisu very disappointing although others in my party had different deserts which they enjoyed.

The best restaurant we have experienced for some time. Portions are very large so be warned if you have the garlic bread AND olives youight not have room for a sweet. We certainly did not.

San Giovanni is a great local restaurant with reasonable prices. There was a good atmosphere despite it being mid-week in early January. Great service. Great location. Excellent food.

Food was fab! My husband said the best steak he had had in a long time. Service can be a little slow, but is very friendly. Perfect for an evening out to catch up with friends.
