Prior to booking the table I had phoned to check they were still doing their 3 course offer. I was told that they were at £13, and also 4 courses for £15. When we turned up he said they had a special offer of 3 courses for £15. I pointed out the discrepancy and he agreed £13 for 3 courses. The mains that we wanted contain potatoes so we didn't want any side dishes and asked if the 3rd course could be desert rather than a side. This was OK when we have visited in the past but this time it was refused. So essentially we paid £13 for 2 courses. Food was OK but plates stone cold. Service not friendly. Place was freezing. Music repetitive. Will not be returrning.
Great place fantastic food great atmosphere enjoyed our evening .spot on ...
This is a great, authentic, friendly local restaurant with delicious food - and great value for money.
Very nice food. BYOB. Great service. Would go again! Thanks
There was a board outside the restaurant advertising three courses for £9.95. They said that this was not operating any more when we ordered and that it was now £12.95 and that the three courses were a starter, a main and a side. Still not expensive but I thought that this misinformation is actually illegal?
Food was really good, service not the best and the card machine had broken but the guy serving us seemed nice. The actual restaurant could do with a bit of an update but it wouldn't stop me going back as the food tasted great.
The food was very nice and the staff were lovely. I didn’t like the plastic glasses the tables and the restaurant could do with a really good clean.
The food was delicious and the portion sizes are very healthy. A few people in that night including us hadn’t realised it is a cash only restaurant, so come prepared, although there are atms nearby if needed.
Fabulous well worth the visit. I will definitely be going back
Good interesting nice food. Will be back to eat again.
Good food served in an authentic atmosphere at a reasonable price - £15 for starter, main and side dish + dessert, or £14 without dessert. Friendly staff. Not licensed so take your own booze.
A regular spot especially when we have fiends visit. Great food great price as always! And for some reason an extra plate of chicken arrived. Always a good bonus&
Friendly atmosphere in a cosy restaurant. The service was good but wished that the pizza option was available regularly. The offer of a 3 course price was not as clearly explained.
I always love going to Samis in Chapel Allerton. The foods is delicious, great value for money and also the staff are great. Many thanks. Jan C. Chapel Allerton
great food. definitely worth a try. so welcoming and pleasant
Lovely atmosphere. The staff are very Friendly and efficient. The food is very tasty and good value for money. We have been several times and look forward to visiting again.
Really nice food, better then I was expecting .... just a little dirty .... dead flies spiders and cobwebs around.... could do with a good clean
When we got there,Sami had forgot that I booked a table for 10 people,he soon sorted it for us ,the food was amazing,we will be back for more
Food and atmosphere where both lovely. I would recommend a visit if you’re in the area. The food came to the table quickly and starter, main and side all for £10 was good value.
Great food and service at reasonable prices. Would recommend it always. Easy to park and take your own booze so not ripped off with drinks.
Superb menu - made very welcome - great value for money. We will definitely go again soon. Highly recommended if you like middle eastern quinine (the tajines were delicious).
Lovely small restaurant with friendly staff. We like it that you can take your own wine or drink with you. The food is really good and the portion is very good. There was a 3 course menu when we went for 12.95, very very good value.
Once again excellent food served in a lively setting, with like minded people. Very busy (sat evening) so service a bit slower than usual, but did not detract from the overall enjoyment of the evening.. As I have said it was very busy, but the staff coped well with no mishaps. Another enjoyable visit to Samis.
great food, very relaxed atmosphere, no licence so bring your own wine, a bit cold so bring a jumper. hasn't changed much in years, like chapel allerton used to be.
Great food at a good price, and the fact it's BYO helps to keep it a cheap night out! Sami is a lovely man, works really hard, and is always friendly.
Food and service were really good. My only gripe was that is was cold and the lighting was like a canteen! But all good for a no frills dinner.
Value for money. The tagines were very tasty, starters were adequate but not exciting and service was friendly but erratic. Previous standards of service were better and portions more generous when we visited a year ago.
8 off us went for a meal after the Carols concert in chaple allerton on Sunday night we all had a very nice meal .x
It took a long time to be served, it felt like they were short staffed. The food was adequate but not great. Overall I felt disappointed.
Booked a table for 7 adults and one child, the atmosphere and food was fantastic, service was good but slow. Will be returning but will also be checking out the takeaway.
