Fantastic food, great atmosphere, staff are faultless, what more can I say.......... Ogino has to be the best Japanese restaurant around by far. It was our fourth visit and again so impressed. Thank you.

Good food and service but it did get a bit noisy at times. Perhaps a few more soft furnishings would quieten it down. Will go again.

Another fantastic meal. Staff are always excellent, great ambiance and the food never disappoints. My only wish is that the banana Katsu would make a return on the dessert menu

Food was excellent as always. A wide range of dishes so something for everyone. The chocolate and orange tarte was a joy. Won't be long before we return.

Spot on as always. The sharing platter for two never fails. Staff very friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend the chicken dish fur a main. We both Will return.

Probably not somewhere I'd go again. I feel like the chicken was under cooked. Tables are a bit big for their purpose meaning to have a conversation you must shout. The seafood main was confusing, it doesn't come as described at all. Miso soup not like the authentic soup. It tastes far from.

This was our first visit. From the moment we arrived the waiters explained each menu advising us on their recommendations. The service throughout was great and the food was delicious. If anything the lighting was a little bright at our table. We will certainly be booking again!

Excellent customer service from arriving to leaving, the waiting staff gave great advice on what to order and the food was out of this world, I would have given a six but there was just something about the atmosphere of the place which I didn't get, and I can't exactly put my finger on it.

Nice friendly atmosphere, the food is freshly prepared and to your liking , the staff are very attentive and help you with your menu choice if unsure how things come.

Service was first class Food was wonderful. Very well run restaurant. Would highly recommend. Book in advance to avoid disappointment at this very popular venue.

Have been dining at this restaurant for a number of years now (at least 3 times a year) for special occasions this currently being the 10th visit. Staff attentiveness is excellent. Food presentation and quality always top draw. Never fails to impress. Having been so many times now have had most everything on the menu. As a suggestion would like to see the menu adjusted slightly to suit the season by way of variety. However this does not detract from the fact this is the best restaurant in town. Will be visiting again.

food great [ first time Japanese food ],------service good, with helpful advice. Just a pity we went on a Tuesday ----- after 30 minutes only our table left in the restaurant --- therefore pleased that we were a party of 4.

Absolutely fabulous food: the freshest seafood I have ever had in East Yorkshire. We always go for lunch and there set menu is great value for the quality of the food.

Lovely restaurant with attentive staff. Food was very good, if a little pricey. We went specifically for sushi as it is hard to come by in Hull. Not much choice on menu sushi wise but what we had we enjoyed.

Meal excellent as the wife loves seafood, however service slow. The meal took nearly three hours from start to finish. The staff were very polite and aimed to please.

We have been to this restaurant many times & would have previously given it full marks. This was our first visit for a while.... the restaurant was very busy, & whilst apologies were made, service was very slow... this restaurant is pricey so in my opinion the service quality should be that of the food... The menu had changed, & whilst the food was on the whole, excellent, there were some favourites missing... The chicken looked very pink on the appetiser (after we had waited AGES) ...we were assured it was because it was 'thigh meat'...we weren't really convinced & it wasn't looked at... too busy perhaps? The desserts are very good but were significantly more expensive than the last time we ate here... they didn't warrant the hefty price tags... I can't believe I am saying this about this restaurant but I was a bit disappointed on the whole.

Had the wagu beef for the first time and have to say it's money well spent. Great service as usual. Would always recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic food, good service and a nice atmosphere. It is not cheap but definitely a great venue for a special occasion. Love the plum wine!!

Had a wonderful time at Ogino. The food was really amazing and beautifully presented. The service was top class and the staff were very professional and friendly. All in all, I would highly recommend.

Very good as always; never had a bad experience here, as soon as you walk in you're greated by friendly staff. Service was a bit slow this time round but I think this was a one off as usually service is very good. It is expensive but the set menu at £20 a head is great value.

Excellent food and service as always.. had pork to start followed by soft crab sushi which was as wonderful as always the tuna for main unfortunately no room for dessert..

food was served just warm, shame really as still tasty. still had a nice night though. quiet in the restaurant but thought that maybe as it was sunday.
