Have visited Ogino's on many occasions and it never fails to deliver in terms of ambiance of restaurant the presentation and quality of food served and the personal attention given by all the staff. Is it a wonder it's my #1 place to eat and I recommend my friends and colleagues. This time rather than plumb for my usual wine to accompany the food, I chose the wine pairing listed in the menu. It was absolutely "bang on" the mark these guys really know their stuff. I have read reviews from others where remarks are made regarding price. In my book you get what you pay for and given all the above comments about a very high quality experience the price you pay is very reasonable indeed. Will return again and again and again.

From the minute we walked in we knew this place had class..... I booked Ogino for my wife's birthday and she absolutely loved the place, quite possibly our new favourite, can't wait to book again. Delicious food and excellent service.

Great restaurant. Excellent service, very good value for money and almost perfect food. The starters were amazing, we had the belly pork (the best ever) and a sharing platter (amazing). For mains we had the sea bass, pork loin and fillet steak. For desert we had creme brûlée and the trio. All were excellent. For drinks we had a bottle of house white, a house red and a red rioja. The house white was fine but I wouldn't go back for the house red. The only real let down though was that the mains were not served hot, elements of the food were on the cool side, hence not quite a rating of 5/5.

Great food and friendly efficient staff in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The whole dining experience was a pleasurable one which we all looked forward to repeating in the not too distant future.

The atmosphere is very relaxing, the food is interesting, absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, the staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. Absolutely perfect evening, cannot rate Ogino and the staff highly enough Thank you.

Had another great meal here, food was brilliant as always. Absolutely love the place as it’s very different and there isn’t anything else like that around here. Highly recommend to give it a go.

Very poor service.the worst I’ve experienced in a long time.took £3.60 for the rice off the bill.embarrassing.ruined our evening.never one to complain but really couldn’t hold back.really not happy

The food was excellent and the staff were attentive. Wide variety of dishes so it was difficult to make a choice but the staff were happy to advise.

Was chilly out and visited earlier than expected but were warmly welcomed. Given time to gaze at the Drinks menu and make choice helped by sampling of the Saki we were interested in and as a result thoroughly enjoying choice made. Similar service throughout the meal, which made for a very enjoyable evening coupled with delicious food.

Having been a few times before this experience didn’t have the wow factor. I thought food was good but nothing special and service was less attentive than before.

Excellent Japanese cuisine . Would equal the best anywhere in UK. The only area for improvement is the service by waiters/waitresses. Never replenished our wine or water glasses.

Wonderful food and great service. My only criticism is that for £8.95 I was expecting a sensational dessert and whilst it was very nice, it was not worth the price tag.

We had a lovely time at Ogino. The food was amazingly good! So delicious! The Sparkling Kimono cocktail is definitely worth a try. Lovely, helpful staff too.

Fantastic food and service. Best restaurant in Beverley by far! Travelzoo offer makes it such great value too. Been several times and it’s never been short of perfect.

Just fantastic - would definitely recommend the selection of canapés as a starter as not only was it delicious and a great way to start, but it allowed us a sample a range of dishes that we may not have ordered individually. Whole meal was wonderful.

Great service although it was a really busy Wednesday night, only sampled some of the sushi off the menu but it was beautiful! Will definitely be going again in the future to try some more of the menu.

Fantastic food and great service. Lots to choose from on the menu. The duck main is fabulous as well as the beef and scallops. Sharing starter is fantastic.

Good food, speaking from a regular traveller to Japan. Ambience not authentic with generic western pop music playing in the background. Service a bit rushed, giving little time between courses. Feeling that they want you out for the next reservation.

Really superb food and great ambiance. The staff are friendly and helpful. Strongly recommended. It is fairly expensive but the quality outweighs the cost. Simply brilliant restaurant.

Good food but I felt the experience didn’t quite match up to previous ones. Ignored on first arriving, wrong dessert appearing, clothes smelling of fried food afterwards - only small things but added up to slight disappointment. A pity because we’ve had good times there

The service and food was delicious as usual. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and the oyster shots were to die for ! Always a treat and always wonderful

Excellent service as usual and very nice food was provided. However, the selection of fish on offer the sushi and sashimi was a little tired. Usual salmon, sea bass, tuna, so come on let’s have a bit more variety please.

Another of many visits to this excellent restaurant, on this visit we took along some friends who were very impressed with the experience of the superb Japanese cuisine and warm friendly service of the staff who advised us on the imaginative menu.

Delicious meal and good service! Ogino always delivers! We had beef teriyaki and it was delicious. Well done to the chefs and serving staff at Ogino!
