Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Nice to sit downstairs if you're with a group of friends, lively and a great place to spend the evening.

Lovely place , food and service ! I wanted to eat a good pie and I was served ! My husband really enjoyed his beer and dessert was good too !

Amazing food, great service and the vault is a hidden gem! Had steak and chicken pies, beef Wellington and scotch eggs, all I would eat again!

Great selection on the menu and a variety of pies. Food always very tasty - although I must admit I can't get beyond my usual selection of the Steak and Ale pie. Service always very friendly.

Hot and tasty ndd,portions very generous.Service great will definitely re-visit. Underground very attractive and most suitable for private and social function.An added benefit is proximity to public transport either by rail or bus

Atmospheric restaurant with excellent pies and decent wine list. Staff highly accommodating. Bar, which opens up to the river, with live music downstairs. Would highly recommend.

We booked a table but when we arrived were seated directly next to a music speaker. We asked to be moved amd luckily they had another table available on this occasion. I had the shepherd's pie, it is fantastic with chunks of meat in it. It is really hot to start so give it a few minutes to cool and it's also huge, potentially two could share it.

Pies and restaurants staff fab however the vault check your change and make sure the bar staff give you what you ordered. Hopefully it was just a mistake!

It's delicious and tasty. Always a great meal. Love it!

The food and the wine were both great! We shared lots of starters - each one was lovely. Already planning our trip back in the winter so we can have a pie and a bottle of red!

Casual dining at its best. Great pies. Small tables so it does feel a bit of a squeeze at times. The bar underneath is also great.

I'd never eaten there before but Putney pies served up absolutely super dishes. Four of us went there - mainly for the cool sounds downstairs in the vault I admit but the food was incredible. We all ate different dishes and all agreed that they were the best pies we could remember eating. Staff are great and very helpful and the music as always very cool.

Superb service and civility. Brilliant food. Great outlook over Putney Bridge. Exceptional Fathers Day treat from my Sons. Recommended! Very fair prices considering the location.

The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. The pie was extremely good as well as the mash, I would of liked the ability to be able to swap the mash for another side however. There was a great selection of pies to cater to everyone which did make it difficult choosing what to order! The drink selection was good, especially the beer selection however it is a bit on the expensive side.

Good quality food from a rather extensive menu (considering the eponymous focus of this venue), attentive but not over zealous service and a private riverside terrace immediately by the Putney Bridge 68,000 tonne per year discharge CSO. London prices.

Delicious food and great for cocktails. Quick service but sadly we had no room for pudding. Although I have had that before and it's equally yum!

Service was average...had steak pie there was a lot of fatty meat and not much to barely anything "steak" ..extremely disappointing. Went with friends- beer was great..perhaps will just do that next time!

Friendly service; great pies; and amazing desserts! This is a great place to visit for dinner. It's not huge so I would recommend booking online in advance.

Great restaurant. We booked it because it looked great from outside and we liked the menu. Super friendly welcome, great staff, brilliant food and there is a total surprise downstairs but that would be telling ...... highly recommended.

Another return visit.....had the chilli pie again - steaming hot and tasty. Husband had the vension hot pot which looked very rich and tempting! Spoilt for choice on what to choose!

Great food and atmosphere , turned into a nightclub with an excellent D.J real party vibe although England lost the rugby , we will be back!

Brought my parents here and we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal... this has become a go-to place for me when going for dinner in Putney.

Very friendly service and the pies are cooked to order so come out steaming hot. Nice location overlooking the river and rustic interior with candles - will be great at Christmas!

The food at Putney Pies is generally very good. And I quite like the ambience and music down in the vault. However, the customer service here is very hit and miss. One of our servers is lovely and the next moment another one who is absolutely rude and indifferent. A bit of quality control is needed here. The restaurant's ownership is probably unaware that this is happening. It's a bit of a turn off to encounter people who are either unfriendly, unprofessional, or simply have a bad attitude. After all, I'm there to relax and enjoy a nice meal, not bump into someone who hates their job. I'm willing to give this place one more go, but if I encounter another bad server, I won't be back, simple as that.

Very good food, in particular very good range of starters and good quantity. Mains also excellent and very reasonable priced between £8-£15. Service as expected.

Another enjoyable visit to Putney Pies! Had two speciality Christmas cocktails which were absolutely delicious - what a pity they are not available all year! Had a vension hotpot and a vension pie - both didn't disappoint!

Great piece, nice cosy restaurant. I would recommend for casual dinners for friends or a quick and tasty post shopping bite. Nice drinks menu also available.

The reservation was fine and went without a hitch, the food, service and atmosphere were excellent! I had the beef pie and the Eton Mess for dessert - delicious

I really enjoyed my evening at Putney pies. The staff were very friendly and had a good balance of being attentive without disturbing your evening. Food was fabulous with perfect serving sizes. Absolutely great evening!

Great clean venue, friendly staff and a good pastry pie, with smooth mash. I liked the way they kept filling the water jug without asking for more.

Small group of 5 and a fantastic experience had by all. Great atmosphere and usual high standard of food. Well done to the entire team.

Apart from a mix up with when we had to leave the table (they didn't mention we only had until 9pm) it was a lovely meal and great setting. The staff moved us to another table once we finished our meal so we had somewhere to sit the whole night. Playlist could do with improving also!

Great food and atmosphere...very cool bar downstairs (that is a cave) as well that turns into a dance club. Also have outdoor area through back that's a beer garden on the Thames - so fun

Top quality pie - loads of filling and perfectly seasoned, great atmosphere - low level jazz music in the rustic setting, & lovely staff - attentive but not pressuring! This is my new favourite restaurant!

I love Putney Pies. Come here if you want to be fed well and leave FULL. The staff are friendly make you feel welcome no matter what. Great place for friends, food and drink!

This is my 3rd time here and i LOVE it! Great tasting pies, cool rustic venue and on a weekend great tunes are played downstairs in the vaults. Highly recommend, a great twist to a pie restaurant, awesome sides too!

Pie and mash was amazing, best mushy peas I have ever had. Good atmosphere and service. Would definitely recommend and will be going again very soon!
