we didn't stay as it was a bit too noisy in the vaults. There was a party and the noise was a bit too much.

We are big fans of Putney Pies. A very good and varied range of pies/quiches and enjoyed sitting outside at sunset on the Thames! The drinks range is also very good

Delicious pies, friendly service, nice atmosphere, good value. The Eaton Mess was disappointing - hard to get out of the clip-top jar (weird) and too tart .

Fantastic place for pies, I had a great steak and ale pie. Highly recommended for a night out with relaxing river view from the vault underground.

The best pie I have had in London, if not anywhere, made all the more enjoyable by the extremely friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The service was slow, the food tepid and the music so loud that conversation was pretty much impossible. It would be wise for Putney Pies to inform diners of noise level in basement when they book.

Great food. Great service. Great DJ. The best place to spend an evening in the area. We sat downstairs which was more of a party atmosphere. Upstairs is much quieter.

I have been here a few times and unfortunately was a bit disappointed this time. Service was great and staff were friendly but the chicken pie was quite dry on the inside with a weird fishy taste and one of our group received the wrong pie. Overall it was still good and has a fun atmosphere on a Friday night but it didn't live up to previous expectations.

We have been regulars for 2 years and usually rate Putney Pies a 5. but sadly the service was not as good this time. Two of the pies were virtually cold inside, the pastry, as usual ,was very good. We waited a long time and were so hungry we did not bother to complain. Chips were great and were hot - they just seemed to get the timings wrong. The barman was alone and a bit stretched, he did his best, it was quite busy.

Great food, mac and cheese could have been less stodgy. Fish pie was delicious and cheesy chips went down very well with everyone. Well priced.

Great pies and really friendly service!! I would have given 6 points, but only slight negative was the music in the restaurant was really loud. I think the bass had been turned up too high on the sound system.

Excellent food and great ambience. My steak and ale pie was filled to the brim and washed down with a lovely Cote du Rhone. Service was friendly and efficient. Matt the owner even made time to have a chat. He should be very proud of this lovely restaurant not to mention the stunning Vault Bar.

Lovely spot for a pie and beer. The pies were very nice and quite meaty inside. Should probably have ordered a salad on the side as the pies did not come with any vegetables. Great service. Very efficient and would recommend.

Awesome little place with a hidden tunnel that leads out onto the Thames. Great decor, delicious pies and a DJ on certain nights. Opens late too which is a bonus. So you can dine, booze and shake some moves all in one venue.

I have eaten here many a time before and it has always been fantastic. Sadly the pies were not the best I've had this time but the service was great as per usual and still a lovely setting. I'm sure it was just a one off and I will definitely be returning another day.

The dining experience was absolutely delightful. The portions of food that we ordered were 'ginourmous'. Totally unexpected . I have recommended it to my family and friends. I first of all thought that the staff was a bit snooty, but my impression was wrong. I found the members of staff very friendly. I will definitely come again.

Pies were good but not exceptional. Gravy more like sauce and didn't appear to be different for different pies. Waiting staff under pressure which showed. Quite a noisy and lively buzz.

Had been before and couldn't fault it so decided to take my friend for dinner at Putney Pies. Unfortunately a very different experience this time. The food was very slow coming and when it did it was cold and the vegetables raw , so it all got sent back. The waiter was to full of himself so didn't appreciate that either . When it all came came back it was so hot that it was almost impossible to eat for ages! Must add that the same happened to at least 2 other tables. Manager did apologise and took money of it but all a real shame as love the place.

Food was good. Service downstairs in the vault was mixed. We'd not even sat down for two mins and they wanted to take our order. Food arrived promptly but then once we finished our mains they didn't ask if wanted dessert. We waited and waited in the end we asked for the bill and left. Another annoying thing, I've been a few times in the week and certain choices are never available I wish they'd mention that to begin with.

I ate at Putney Pies on a Saturday lunch time, service was friendly and efficient. I had the steak pie, which was delicious, friends had the rabbit and the chicken pies which were also well received - as were all of the sides we ordered. I would recommend Putney Pies to anyone with even a passing interest in pies!

Would recommend a visit to Putney Pies. The beef wellington starter and venison & chorizo pie were both very good. My friends chicken and mushroom pie was also very good. Nice beers on tap and a cool setting under the arches. Ask to sit downstairs.

Good pies all round. Quite pricey for pie ad mash, but this is Putney! I opted for the vege option, (aubergine pie) and though accompaniments were meant to be cold and I didn't mind that, the pie itself was barely warm, so this did reduce my enjoyment a little.
