A very pleasant experience overall. Nice holiday atmosphere, lovely food served by a very attentive and courteous waiter.

Great restaurant. Well situated for pre theatre dinner. Food was lovely but Unfortunately the service was a bit slow so we only had time for a main course.

Went for a birthday meal for a small number of people and were treated brilliantly throughout the evening, nothing was too much trouble and we cannot wait to find an excuse to go back!

Have previously dined at the restaurant numerous times, even travelled from Stone to eat here and it has always been amazing. Today, not wowed and seemed just average. Not sure what has happened since my last visit.

On a wild wet windy evening we were greeted with warmth and good humour. The meals were delicious and the service was impeccable. Always a lovely atmosphere at Portofino!

Early mid-week evening visit, prior to a visit to the Floral Pavilion Theatre, and it was fairly quiet. Disabled parking available in front of restaurant. We were shown to a table by the window and waited on by an extremely pleasant gentleman. We had 2 courses with minimal wait for both. The food was very nice, a good rapport with the waiter making it a very pleasant occasion and definitely worth a repeat visit.

Food was excellent, service was too, with a perfect time left between courses for us to relax and not have the feeling of being rushed that you get at some restaurants. Reasonable prices as well for the quality.

My only niggle was that when we paid the bill in cash including approximately 20% tip nobody came back with receipt and a 'thank you '. Other than that the food and service was exceptional.

Lovely place to go for a meal whatever the occasion

Portafino is a restaurant that we visit regularly. It is in a lovely location, the restaurant is well laid out with plenty of space between tables. The staff are always incredibly pleasant and helpful and the food is excellent.

Lovely as always. We are never dissapointed when we come for food. The staff are always really attentive and very helpful, they always check up on us to make sure everything is ok. They are amazing with our 3 year old daughter aswell, she loves coming. The food was fantastic as always, the kids loved their pizzas, my steak was cooked exactly how I asked for it and my partners calzone was so big he couldnt finish it, but he enjoyed it. Nothing is ever too much trouble and you are always greeted with a pleasant smile from all the staff when arriving.

Thank you so much to the amazing staff at Portofino for making my father in laws 60th really special. This place is amazing, from the staff, the service to the unbelievable food. This is our 3rd time visiting and can’t wait to come back!
