Staff were friendly and the ambience of the restaurant was good. Food was nice although it did take longer than expected to arrive. It struck me as being rather expensive, two burgers, one portion of fries and two beers was almost £30.
Wow... 3rd visit and still finger licking enjoyment. Cobra on draft, porkies burger and Cajun sweet potato fries... Washed down with Smurfy Murphy. Awesome service too.
Quite casual cafe rather than a restaurant . Food was really good and not expensive at all. Nothing on the menu for those watching their waistline but highly recommended . Friendly attentive staff , all good !
Really yummy food, great atmosphere and lovely staff! I stumbled across this place by accident and I keep going back. Great place for a burger with friends!!
Lovely place helpful staff reasonable prices will definitely be going back for tea as we went for breakfast which was lovely the steak was lovely
Food is really tasty and plentiful. Friendly service! A chilled experience with the family. Can go for a quick bite or as a more formal get together Thanks!
Food was good and the kids enjoyed it. The only down side was that the service was quite slow with the waiters having to be reminded about things that had been ordered.
Brilliant service and food. We have been for breakfast twice now and tried a few different options, all of which were lovely. Would definitely go again to sample the main menu.
Lovely food burgers huge pleasant atmosphere donout sandwich is a fab. Will be going back in the future to try a cocktail too as they look amazing
Tasty food with large portions to satisfy those family members with big appetites. An enjoyable evening overall. Will definitely return to try different meals and cocktails.
Great food, excellent service, very family friendly, easy to park, near local bars of wanted a pre-dinner drink & kids eat free! We really enjoyed our visit & will be back.
Good atmosphere, food was nice and good value for money! The service was okay but there was a bit of a wait for our food..
The food here is amazing! They do not skimp on the portion sizes and you are guaranteed not to leave hungry. The calamari is absolutely delicious so there is certainly the option is have more of a tapas selection than mains. The staff are so friendly too.
Great food and friendly service. A good range of food.
Excellent value for money and a really interesting menu. I highly recommend pizza fries and a bunny chow, more than enough for 2 people!
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere and staff. Fun night out for young Mums! Food is tasty, lots of choice and excellent value for money. We will be back!
Once again, the staff here are delightful and the food is delicious. I recommend the pizza fries and the doughnut sandwich which was featured on the Independent Liverpool website - definitely worth a vist even just for that but certainly the other food is just as good!!! Great cocktails too!
We've been here many times due to its convenient location, great menus and its family-friendly extras, such as colouring kits and the ongoing, brilliant kids eat free offer. Relaxed and friendly, with fabulous cocktails and indulgent desserts! Prompt, friendly (and patient!) service - keep up the good work! :)
A Wednesday night , the place was buzzing , just right , music a bit loud but the guy turned it down , out with friends and needed to talk ... Ribs and the pizza chips where to die for ... Only comment negative = needs a hand rail on the stairs which are quite steep and they had no soda water
Fantastic, lovely staff and a fast service! Would highly recommend. I will be coming back again. Food is amazing. We got the breakfast and it was high quality!
Quirky restaurant that serves really nice food. Ive visited twice but this time service was very slow. Our party waited quite a while before being asked if we would like to order drinks and food. The waitress also took another tables order before ours, even though they were seated at least 10 minutes after us. I would visit this restaurant again for the food and cocktails but service needs to be better!!!
Lovely food, deceptively big portions! The pizza fries and salt'n'pepper wings are stand-out, and the Bunny Chows are so tasty. The battered donuts are an absolute must.
Food was excellent, but service was too slow. 4 of us ate and needed 2 soft drinks each, but at £2 each the additional £16 on the bill at the end seems too much.
The food at this restaurant is very good (love the bunny chow!) the service is good. The only criticism I have is that the restaurant can be a little cold.
The food was amazing and great value for money, the only thing that wasn't so good was the speed of service. I was waiting 10 minutes after my friends had reviewed their food for my dish.
Great food excellent service as usual. Atmosphere relaxing considering it was so busy! Food is always to a high standard and menu is simple making choices easy 😀😀
Food fab! Had breakfast would recommend to anyone. Family friendly atmosphere! staff very helpful. Looking forward to going back with friends to try evening menu.
Pleasant service, brilliant prices and lovely food. I would definitely recommend a visit - and I'll no doubt be back soon! If you're looking to go around early morning/midday of a weekend it'd definitely benefit to book a table!
Love it here, food is fab and the atmosphere is so chilled. Staff always happy and helpful, know their trade well. No room for dessert though 😔
Food was lovely, bit strange that there's only breakfast until after 2pm and didn't say so on their website. Service was a bit slow, had to ask to order twice, left with empty plates for a while. Doughnuts were amazing, definitely need trying. Good value for money overall and nice surroundings.
Food was lovely as were the cocktails. Menu offered a good variety. Staff really helpful would recommend a visit to Portland St and I will be returning.
Terrible experience. ordered a vegetarian meal for my boyfriend who was disgusted to find pork in it after he had ate half of it. On top of that painfully slow service.
Excellent Staff friendly food great good prices would go again
Top drawer. Excellent food, an exciting quirky menu, definitely a bit different in a great way. Staff were wonderful, excellent decor and prices very reasonable. Can't recommend highly enough.
friendly staff, family orientated food was nice but could be improved
Love this little restaurant, food is lovely and can get busy real quick. Would have rated it 6 but last time there was hardly no beer for my boyfriend tap or bottle.
My 1st visit here today, nice surroundings, clean and tidy. The service is friendly and organised. The breakfast menu had plenty of options. The food was served in good time, we'll cooked and tasty. I will return and also recommend it to family and friends. Well done Nick who was running the place.
Great food and customer service! The price is reasonable and food came quickly. Too full to order a desert but they look amazing! Will be visiting again!
Little too cold in the restaurant but overall great food and atmosphere
Nice space. We went on a Friday night, so it was fairly busy, and staff had reserved a large table. Staff were fairly inattentive (possibly due to it being so busy and there were only a couple of servers). Food was ok, but the portion sizes of various dishes varied (e.g. the large calamari was £9, but the bunny chow was larger and cheaper).
Lovely breakfast second time we have been and it was delicious will definitely be returning to Portland street as they so the best breakfasts around
The food we had was amazing and full of flavour. However the service was incredibly poor, this may be due to there only being one waiter who was clearly expected to do everything
Food was good and the portions were big I would recommend it to anyone, not to busy as well. would go there again. a a
Friendly and popular street food style restaurant. Great puddings. Definitely try the deep fried waffle but make sure you share. Even my hungry teenage son was defeated by the size of the brownie.
Good food, friendly service. Went in a party of five and everyone really enjoyed the food. We will be going again and would recommend to anyone.
Great place with different take on the usual fast food concept. Unusable dessert choices also. Makes for a return to try others. Great place for a groups
Great breakfast at our second time at Portland Street. We have ate here once before when it first opened and had an evening meal. The food was amazing, cocktails even better!!
Dined here Saturday with eight friends. The service and food was great! nice chilled quirky vibe. Im sure we will return in the near future. Oh and the cocktails where fab!!!!
A taste of Shoreditch in Liverpool! Fantastic food without breaking the bank, generous main course with dessert and a lovely milkshake cost us just over £30 for 2 people (approx £15 each). Will definitely be returning.
Just a little cold in the restaurant but had it been warmer it would have scored top marks
