We went at a quiet time so we're the only customers. Service was very good but the restaurant was cold and even after they offered to turn the heat up, it was still cold. It lacked ambiance probably because there was no music playing and it was quite brightly lit. We ordered the cold crevice which was tasty, the sea bass was very nice, and the duck, also nice but the rice it came with was way too salty and there were no vegetables or anything to embellish the dish. Wine was nice as were the pisco cocktails.
Fantastic food and very friendly service. All around a very enjoyable meal. We particularly enjoyed the pulpo (octopus) starter and the lomo a la parrilla (beef fillet) main.
Dining at Pisqu has been the most satisfactory food experience we had in London so far: exquisite dishes, friendly and charming staff in a very romantic and elegant environment. We had the scallops, the duck breast, some sides and desserts: all of them wonderful, but the real deal was the Pulpo starter - we will dream about it tonight! Higly recommended to those who want to taste delicate and unique flavours or simply to enjoy a special evening with your partner or friends. We will definitely come back again to try all the other dishes from the menu!
Quality Peruvian restaurant. Excellent ceviche. Intimate. Wonderful cocktails. Peruvian coffee is out of this world. Newly opened. Make sure you get a table upstairs. Go there before it gets popular.
Lovely staff, intimate setting, creative and fabulous dishes with lots of seafood options. Great takes on pisco sours and mojitos. Will definitely be back to pisqu.
Staff is super friendly, food beutifuly presented and flavory. Cocktails are savory but mild. The place could do with a bit more deco, it's too neutral, more like a cafe than a restaurant.
The Food was OK. But unfortunately it wasn't really authentic. I have been to Peru and I have tried the Arroz chaufa and I was looking forward to have it again in the London BUT the dish they gave me didn't even had soy sauce! It was just white rice with quinoa and avocado. Nothing like the real deal. Please consider this review as a constructive criticism because people want to try the real 'peruvian food' Not some adaptation of peruvian cuisine. Maybe the person in charge thinks they have to provide a gourmet dish but it doesn't mean it has to be plain or less colourful. Thanks
The food was very original, very successful, really enjoyable, and good value - will recommend Pisqu, and will definitely come back. Two suggestions: the restaurant is still very new, and the staff not entirely coordinated, which should improve with time (certainly everyone was very friendly and trying hard). More difficult: the noise levels were extremely high, to the point for example where it was very difficult for our waitress to hear us! admittedly there was a big party next to us, but the place is small and covered in noise-reflecting surfaces - please give some thought to having fabrics etc to absorb some of the noise!
Firstly, the food was deelicious! and the lunch menu is such good value. The staff were all friendly and attentive and had a nice welcoming atmosphere. And I loved the décor is very nice and classy. Overall, I would recommend this place to others and would definitely go again.
Decent place with potential to be a nice local cost effective restaurant but I would probably not go here again for a client meeting. Food was very good and the only thing holding this rating up. The service on the other hand left something to be desired. For some reason (on a cool winter day) they decided to leave the door open, but closed it when we asked. Still fairly cold for an indoor restaurant. The service was ok, but most staff seemed like they did not want to be there or were preoccupied with installing their newly received dishwasher vs serving customers. With so many other good options in the area not one I would go to again, though the food was good.
The food was excellent!! We will come back for sure, ask for their ceviche and also for the Pisco Sour, they are amazing! A good discover!
Great food, great service and simply a great experience. Worth a visit or more! Peru as it is meant to be and more. The Ceviches, simple but the taste is amazing and the Lomo Saltado, what a dish!
The service in this restaurant is non existent. The waiting staff knows nothing about the food nor the wine they are serving. There doesn't even seem to be a senior person to complain to. They can barely bring you spoons and set them around the plate for you. They are doing a disservice to the lovely food that comes out of the kitchen. And that is a terrible waste of a good chef.
Delicious food - be it the grilled octopus or the steak fillet not to speak of the ceviche. Excellent puddings as well and the Daiquiris are to die for. Well selected wine list. Slightly haphazard but well meaning service - still growing into their jobs. Cosy atmosphere and very welcoming and friendly owner - but book early as there are few tables.
Great Restaurant and amazing pisco sours. The Cerviche was fresh and the corn bread delicious. We would go back again for both the food and piscos!
Excellent food and friendly service. We went during off peak time so getting a table was not an issue, but reservations recommended. One critique is the food tends to be a bit salty.
Very good food, fresh ingredients. Very good Pisco sour. Excellent service!! We have been very well looked after. I will definitely come back and recommend
Booked the dinner for 3 and it was lovely. The food is amazing and the service was good. Lot's of different option for the food and the wine was great. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Good food, service was a bit all over the place, had to ask for menus to be taken away, took a while to bring items asked for etc - maybe itS because they are new
Great food with some excellent flavours. Service still a bit patchy but hopefully will improve with time. Good for a relaxed meal provided you don't expect a fast turn around.
Excellent food, brilliant fish in particular with emphasis on the ceviche. One of the best South American restaurants in London with good service and a nice room.
Very good and warm service. Food is delicious and piscos to die for. the portions are a bit small though! My clothes smelled like burn when I left
Delicious food. Great service. Fantastic environment to sit in. Remarkable value for the set lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would be happy to return for more!
Having been to some excellent Peruvian restaurants in London, i had quite high expectations and was really looking forward to our dinner at Pisqu. Sadly, from the beginning to the end, the whole experience was very disappointing. The ambiance is cold, with aggressive lightings and a decor that is completely disconnected from the country the food is supposed to be inspired by. The staff, although being smiley and kind, knows very little about the menu and is clearly not passionate nor informed about what they are serving. Coming to the food, the starters and main courses tasted okish but the presentation was poor and the dessert (chocolate mousse) was totally appealing. To conclude : a bill of £140 (with 1 bottle of wine), for some average food, average service and poor ambiance. Would not recommend.
Food was lovely although the 'sharing' plates were not easily. Service was terrible; incredibly slow and the waiter had not a clue which absolutely ruined the whole experience.
1/3 of the foods were great (pork belly, ceviche), 1/3 just ok (beef with rice, empanadas) and 1/3 we sent back (raw chicken inside the croquetas). Sat downstairs in a table where there is a large space but only 3 tables and no decorations on walls etc, plus bright lights, so there was no ambience and felt like garage. Ambience probably much better upstairs, but avoid downstairs.
A great experience - the food was delicious and authentic and the service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely go back again. Only downside was it wasn't very buzzy but didn't bother my friend and I.
Food was excellent. Every dish was great and staff really nice and friendly. Highly reccomend. Very casual for a Saturday night or nice for brunch / lunch. Plenty of vegetarian options. Will def return.
Food was ok, overall the restaurant still need polishing (with the food, with th service). Prices are very good. Very nice venue. Has potential, will probably revisit in a couple of months to see how they are doing.
Nice casual place for lunch. Food was fairly average though, maybe because it had just opened, but still work to do to be as good as other Peruvian restaurants in London
Small but interesting menu. Friendly staff Food is small dishes, tapas style. Too many served at same time. Wouldn't fit on table. Several not hot when served. And food served before plates and cutlery.
Fabulous fresh, tasty food, friendly staff. I would definitely recommend a visit. The Pisqu was quieter than I expected and with food of this quality it should be a lot busier.
Nice looking place. Great staff. Food is actually very good and with authentic Peruvian flavours. Portions are too small though and thus may not seem a good value for money.
Helpful and friendly staff, great value on the lunch menu which was very tasty & a new experience. Thoroughly recommend dining at Pisqu. Nice Peruvian beer too!
Great food! Good service and nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices as well. Menu is well structured and balance. I would say it is more Tapas style, so taking 2-3 dishes per person will be enough.
Really tasty food and nice atmosphere. The portions could have been slightly bigger and it would also be nice to have more vegetarian main dishes.
Food is nice on the tad of small size for the price. Service is chaotic at best . I know it's the first days of evening openings, so details and staff are important for the long run.
The half price introductory lunch offer was good value. The food was well executed and good and the cocktails were interesting, especially the Chicha Sour. The Peruvian wine was ok but overpriced. The service was less than spectacular and I found the decor rather uninspiring: I think I was expecting something a bit more interesting and upmarket in terms of decor. Overall, I would recommend it for the good value and high quality lunch offer food.
Amazing food, well presented, very attentive service, not pretentious at all. They even gave us a glass of prosecco at the end of the meal! I will definitely come back.
The food was superb. They have a very good selection. We all enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly. I am definitely going back.
Very good food (small sharing plates) - we had the recommended chicken, pork belly, and beef stir fry, plus a couple of salads. Next time we will try the fish dishes. We especially liked the unusual ice cream & sorbet flavours. Excellent service. Very welcoming.
