Friendly and attentive staff. Lovely food and great atmosphere. We had the vegan mushroom crostini to start with. It was absolutely delicious and a very generous portion. It’s good job we decided to share it!

Both my wife and I enjoyed our latest visit to Petite Paris, the food was good and the service was efficient and friendly. My wife the canon of lamb which was cooked to perfection. I had the beef bourginon and whilst it was very nice, I prefer a less deconstructed approach to this dish. My wife always looks forward to the sweet course most of all and was very pleased that many of the options were not the same boring options that could be had anywhere else. She had the spiced apple whilst I had the parfait; both of which were very good. There is no doubt that Petite Paris is very popular and therein lies its only small problem. Inevitably, with so many people the noise levels can be quite high, rendering the background music ineffective and because of the numbers of people the tables have to be small which means a lot of juggling of crockery and glasses. That said, we will return again.

An enjoyable meal at reasonable cost in a pleasant environment.

Excellent meal and service. Staff were friendly and professional. The only downside was access to the restaurant and also to the toilets via stairs.

Food was good apart from my starter of squid as they were much chewier than I have had before. Don't think they were cooked properly.Tapas,dessert and service were excellent. Think could make more emphasis on it being a pre theatre meal, as they used to s few years ago.

A lovely atmosphere, warm and friendly. Service attentive and very professional. Excellent value for money. Vegan options delicious and I was given the option of vegan butter, without asking for it! Superb, would definitely recommend without reservations

We had a lovely time at Petit Paris and it was good to see some of the regular staff again. We come here often for the pre-theatre menu and once again it didn't disappoint. Thanks all.

A great time was had by all. We love this relaxed and informal restaurant. The food is consistently good and the service is excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed this visit and will be back soon. We dine here regularly and it would be great if there could be a bit more variety with the specials. It would be good to have a salmon option as the main course again.

Absolutely fabulous meal again! Fillet steak melted in the mouth and the hake was cooked to perfection.

A great restaurant find in Nottingham, which although I understand trading since 1995, was never previously known to myself and wife. The number of Vegetarian and Vegan imaginative dishes on the menu was much appreciated. We will visit again. Oh nearly forgot, the espresso coffee was a bit disappointing; either the weight of coffee was too low, or too much water was pushed through? John & Judy Aspin

The food was delicious, the environment was welcoming and the staff were both efficient and friendly. We were served by Matthew who was attentive and really friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant and would advise booking as it always seems to be full. Great value for money and a chef who knows how to make food full of flavour.

Birthday celebration that was really memorable thanks to your staff

1. I visited at 5.30 with 3 mature ladies who were intent on catching up but some conversation difficult re background music. 2. I was the only one to order a starter. Consequently my friends ate all the bread. When my terrine arrived, (which normally has some toast/bread) I asked for more but was told it would cost an extra £1. A bit penny pinching! I declined.

Usual tasty food in a convivial atmosphere. We are never disappointed.

The restaurant was very busy at the time we were there. Service was just ok. The food was very good, however, the potatoes and veg with two of the dishes were cold. Had a member of staff been over to check we were happy with the meal we would have pointed this out to them. When we mentioned it to the waitress as she cleared the table, to make her aware of it she didn't seem interested at all. A shame really because it wasn't a complaint but we just wanted to make her aware. Other than that everything as fine. We were rushing to go to a concert so couldn't stay long. The restaurant seemed very dark compared to past visists

My meal was fabulous everything was just right however my companion’s meal was not good. Her steak was tough. We have been coming to PP for years and never had a bad meal so she was very disappointed ! The management deducted her meal off our bill Hope next time will be a better experience for her!

The first time I have visited where it wasn't excellent. The streamlining of the menu and specials is disappointing and when you only have 2 starters on the specials menu, how can you have run out of both? We were told about the specials when we were seated, including the soup flavour. When we ordered we were then told there was no soup or mussels (the 2 specials) as it had been 'busy at lunchtime'. So, tell us you have no specials when we arrive! The next disappointment was that I order the 'french cheese tartlet with red onion marmalade'. When it arrived it was full of sun dried tomato under the cheese. It mentions this nowhere and I have a particular aversion to tomatoes. Thankfully, I don't have an allergy.

Two very tasty and well presented meals and on a Monday!
