The food was delicious and the restaurant was lovely but the heating was on very high, which ruined the experience slightly.
This restaurant provides good quality of food. The environment of the this restaurant is very good with good and quiet location. I will recommend this restaurant to my friend.
Mediocre food (great entrees, disappointing mains), not as good as other branches, hotel like atmosphere (not in a good way), over priced and to top it off unbearably hot even though it was a cool day - they had fans going which only somewhat helped. Not great overall.
Excellent authentic Thai food, attentive, friendly and prompt service - but expensive. 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 veg, 1 rice, bottle of wine, £120 Would go again, but not every week.
Lovely ambience, attentive staff, and great food choices and presentation.... each dish provided a unique explosion of flavors in the mouth. I loved it... can't wait to go back!
Whilst I can't fault the staff, service or atmosphere the food was a disappointment this time. Both my husband and I felt extremely sick after eating at Patara with stomach aches and general food poisoning type of symptoms. I would also like to say that there is very little choice for vegetarians and the restaurant really is missing a trick here. All in all, this is a novelty of a restaurant where I would eat once but I doubt I will be visiting again. I would like to say that the staff are extremely polite and helpful.
We were extremely disappointed with the whole experience. The quality of food and drink was well below the standard of other established Patara branches where we'd ordered the same menu items before. My cocktail tasted like orange squash, and I had to send back. The complimentary snacks were a stingy 2 prawn crackers per person on our table, not the usual full up basket. Our meals were tasteless, and although the restaurant looked good and the staff were very nice, it was unbearably hot on a warm summers evening without proper air conditioning so it was a race to finish and leave as soon as possible. We won't be going back which is a great shame as we had high hopes of a nice night out.
Might seem a little pricey but the good and service were both outstanding! Would definitely recommend to Thai food fans and food lovers in general. Also, try their cocktails!
Very nice food but as is common with Thai restaurants in London, they'd dumbed it down somewhat and gone very easy with the chilis. Definitely worth a try.
Consistently good - Patara is a hidden gem just off Oxford Street and the perfect place for a sophisticated lunch stop between shopping or on an evening out. The Beef Cheek Penang melts in your mouth and the service is fantastic. Highly recommend.
Very good food and everyone is absolutely nice ! Great birthday time there ! The decoration is lovely. Good place for a diner with friends.
Nice service team. Portionst (too) big. However, the food had not the quality I would expect for that price and lacked freshness. Will not go there again.
Excellent Service, Wonderful food. The staff were very polite and attentive. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. For a Saturday evening we were surprised that it was not too bust.
Excellent, thoughtful service, and absolutely delicious food, beautifully presented. The portions were also very generous. I can recommend it without hesitation and I will definitely return.
Excellent food - the pre-theatre menu is very good value. Service a little slow but overall a good experience. A bit of an oasis in the somewhat culinary desert north of that particular part of Oxford Street.
Great food - set menu is expensive but very good - good selection of well known dishes with some added variety. Reasonably priced wine list. Very friendly staff.
The Food waa very fresh and delicious. Perfect for a light lunch although the vegetarian options were thin on the ground. Good service and friendly staff.
We had great food and service without the hustle of their original restaurant. quality was good. a table with uncontrolled kids was the only downside - but once they left - all was good.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. They really do look after you there and it just made the whole experience better!
£42 for a curry, with sparkling water to drink!! They charged £4.50 for barely edible rice, and £9 for a side of broccoli! Absolute joke. Waiter tried hard but, really, too hard. Will not be back.
Great food and flawless service from all staff. We really enjoyed our visit here and will definitely be back to on of the branches around London.
During our dinner, a mouse ran across the floor and under our banquette. They moved us to a different table but did not seemed to be phased by it, nor did they offer us any accommodation. The food however is and always has been quite good. I might stick with my usual location however and return to Greek Street.
The service in Patara on Berners Street was really exceptional - diligent, helpful and conscientious. The food was exquisite; tenderstem broccoli cooked perfectly and the panang tofu was extremely tasty. Very nice interior and overall atmosphere. It is reasonably expensive but, given the exceptional standards, worth the price.
There was fantastic service. Food for 3 people came to £160 with service which felt very steep but regardless food was amazing and staff ensured we enjoyed it.
I have always enjoyed dining at Patara however my most recent experience at Patara Berners Street was average. The service was not at a level you would expect from this type of restaurant. It took at least 15 mins before we were offered to order our drinks. Prawn crackers were only served once you had ordered your main meal where as I am used to these being served as soon as you are seated. The food was satisfactory but their customer service could do with a lot of improvement. I did not feel like I was at a high end Thai restaurant at all-it was all very mediocre. We had booked the restaurant on a 50% off main and starter when you order 2 mains and 2 starters. When the bill came this wasn't taken into account and I had to inform the waitress. Although the bill was changed without any fuss this is not what is expected of this type of restaurant. With the food being so expensive and there being a 12.5 % service charge I expected a much better experience. With regret I will not be dining at the Berners Street Patara again and would prefer to eat at the Soho/Oxford street restaurant.
Service was poor; food was average; the place was noisy; the waiters were pushy...asking us all the time if we wanted anything else in a very unfriendly way; the main courses are totally overpriced; won't be going back
Great service & fab food. Family restaurant so a little noisy but great value for money. Duck spring rolls amazing! Desserts ok but not the best, go for an extra side dish instead.
Food is excellent, service excellent. Really enjoyed ourselves. I have eaten at Patara a few times, and have always had a lovely time. I will certainly be going back.
We had an absolutely fantastic meal at Patara. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. The food was excellent. There wasn't a thing about the meal we didn't enjoy - even had fabulous cocktails! We'll be coming back next time we're in London!
very nice place food was spot on and service was very good suroundings are very nice and the food is full of lovely flavours will go back next time in London
Food was tasty, service very slow though.. luckily we were in no hurry but drinks and water took time to arrive. We had a good table with plenty of room.
Great food, best Thai i've had in London. Attentive and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere too. We will be back! Some original dishes, not seen before and everything seemed fresh
Great food, good quality, good portions. Service is slow though and the restaurant wasn't even completely full. Definitely go when they have an offer! :)
Found service to be poor compared to usual. Weren't not told about Lobster not being on promotion and on querying this, it felt like I was being shouted at. Food was otherwise consistent.
Friendly and efficient staff and delicious food from an interesting menu made our visit most enjoyable. The wine list is extensive, too, with a full price range. Will return.
Warm welcome with superb food and service! Do try the mixed starters and the lamb shank massaman. Every dish was expertly prepared and our plates were all returned empty to the kitchen!
Service was very attentive without being OTT and the staff were very accommodating and had some good suggestions as to what to eat. Food was fantastic.
We were served RAW chicken for our starter (satay chicken). When the manager came to our table, he said he would call the ambulance should we fall sick. How reassuring! Crazy!
The special offer menu seemed a bit confusing Staff we're good but at 6pm they seemed to much in a rush of taking our dishes away
GREAT, FANTASTIC SERVICE, I WOULD DEFINATELY RECCOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT FOR A DATE NIGHT , GREAT FOOD AND WINE AND THE WAY THE FOOD WAS PRESENTED WAS AWESOME!!
Easy booking process. Very attentive service from moment arriving to leaving. Excellent quality of food. Extensive wine list and cocktails. Good location for West End shows
Food is good, but service was terrible. Starters arrived after the main courses and rice that was a side after all the other plates. Service is not according at all with the price of the restaurant.
We went for a family (and other halves) meal to celebrate both my kid's birthdays and the fact that my son would be out of the country for 3 months - including Christmas. It was a great choice - by my daughter. Friendly, helpful staff, and excellent food.
Good food - good service for a busy Saturday night - they were attentive and polite with all all of our asks - pricey so be prepared for that bill - overall great evening
Excellent food and wonderful service. Extremely friendly staff took very good care of us. We were celebrating our daughters Birthday and had a table of 10. Everyone has a great time...
excellent authentic food, very nice and forthcoming service, actually unstamdingly good. i wish the restaurant would have more guests cause the three times we've been there we've always been thrilled. we keep coming back whenever we feel like having a good, honest and authentic thai meal.
The food was excellent, and good choice, but the atmosphere was poor as we were unfortunately the only table in the restaurant. Service was good.
Thai food doesn't get much better than this. The dishes are delicious and beautifully presented, while the service is helpful and efficient. It was rather empty, but that's probably because this branch opened just recently. Well worth a visit!
Extremely helpful staff and fantastic food. The staff really went out of their way to ensure that we had a fantastic meal. We enjoyed our meal in a stylish and clean environment.
Excellent customer service, delicious authentic Thai food, good cocktails, clean & chic interior decor. Recommend for a casual dinner with friends or a date venue.
